    Iced Vanilla Latte outside.
    Matthew C.

We were enjoying our time down by the beach and needed something to drink. Stumbled upon Coco Bloom Coffee and enjoyed our time! I enjoyed an iced vanilla iced latte and my son enjoyed a Martinelli's apple juice! I was shocked by how fast they made my coffee and how quickly I drank it. After we ordered, a good 10 people came in and got drinks. It's a small shop, but it is nicely organized and has some great seating out front with fresh flowers. Staff was nice and friendly too!

Coco Bloom is a beautiful little coffee shop right by the water in Dana Point. The interior is decorated nicely and has a cutesy, aesthetic vibe. It is on the smaller side with no indoor seating, but there are tables available outside which is nice if you're enjoying the weather. They had a selection of pastries that looked delicious, including pistachio croissants, danishes, and other pastries, although we didn't end up trying any of them. The drinks menu had a lot of unique options that all sounded great, which made it difficult to choose. Unfortunately, the service took away from the experience. We were the only customers ordering at the time, and since there were five of us trying to decide on our drinks, it naturally took a few minutes. The employee taking our order repeatedly asked if we were ready and seemed very rushed, which made us feel pressured to hurry up instead of enjoying the ordering process. I've worked in fast food and restaurants before, so I understand that customer service can be challenging, but being welcoming and patient goes a long way. A little more friendliness would have made a big difference. As for the drinks, they were good overall. I ordered the honey latte and really enjoyed the flavor. My only note is that I got it with whole milk, and the milk had a slightly funky, almost cheesy aftertaste that I wasn't expecting. I'm not sure what caused it, but it was noticeable. Overall, Coco Bloom has a great location, cute drinks, and pastries that look promising. I would gladly return, but I do think the customer service could use some improvement. With a more welcoming experience, this easily could have been a 5-star visit.

Honey latte & blueberry muffin. Soooo good.

Dana point is getting some very well needed renovation and soon enough it is gonna be the next Newport or Laguna Beach. This coffee shop is tucked in next to the boats in the harbor. The newly build parking lot makes it easy to park and walk to it. For the first 4 hours is free of charge which is awesome! I opted for honey latte and blueberry muffin. The barista who made my latte was sooo sweet and her latte art was Amazing! I would have liked my blueberry to be served on a plate and warmed up which I was never asked about. So to the guy barista who gave me my pastry, next time ask the customer if they want their pastry warmed up especially if they request for their drink to be served in a ceramic cup!!!! I will be back!

This place was bustling to the very last minute of closing on the Sunday I visited. We arrived 5 minutes before closing but they were still kind enough to accommodate me and 2 other parties. The inside is very small but there's plenty of outdoor seating. The interior has a pastel pink color palette and is very aesthetic. They sell merch and some other small trinkets along with your typical pastries and coffee that a cafe would have, but also gelato! I ordered an iced vanilla latte and my boyfriend ordered an iced americano. I think they were really trying to close though because they were rushing through the last few orders and over-extracted the espresso. Both drinks tasted slightly burnt but not to the point where it wasn't enjoyable. The workers were all kind, though, and I'll be back to try the gelato next time I visit.

After reading the reviews, thought I try this cute place out. Went to grabbed some gelato for my daughter. She was craving some pistachio flavored gelato, but they ran out. Instead we ended up with the mint chocolate flavor. The portion was quite small like three golf ball size scoops for $8. I definitely didn't think it was worth the price. It was good, but not great like I expected. Very small shop, but plenty of seats outdoors. This place seemed popular as it did get busy right after we left. From my honest opinion, I didn't see what the hype was all about. I didn't try their drinks, but maybe that's what they are known for. I'll probably have to come back and check out their drinks next time.

Cold brew with unsweetened cold foam, not bad but too much ice, waters the coffee down. Asked for less ice, still got a lot. Coffee is good though, nice place to hang out and enjoy a coffee by the water.

Yes, yes yes!!! Thank you for existing down here in the harbor Coco Bloom You're delicious honey. Iced latte is sublime. And we couldn't resist your Cocoa Bloom Tumblr , so pretty so latte worthy... We wish you tons of success at your spot here in the harbor. Will see you next weekend. By the way, if you're looking for a delicious croissant, Aunt, they make the biggest most delicious ones

The drinks were fantastic and Chloe was very kind and offered to adjust drinks to preference if need be. Which I thought was very generous. It's a very calm and beautiful space to stroll around and enjoy your coffee. I ordered a coffee off the Valentine's Day menu and I also tasted the matcha, which was a really well crafted drink. I also really love that there're tables and chairs to sit at outside. They were also advertising a pottery painting class which I thought looked really fun and I love that they have community in mind.

On the wharf in Dana Point Harbor. Hard to get to, especially with all the construction as of Aug 2025. Order at the register. Casual atmosphere. No indoor seating, but some communal seating outside. Fast and friendly service. I got an iced latte and chocolate chip cookie (there are some baked goods in addition to the drinks). Both were delicious! Around $11 including tax and small tip. Not bad on the value side given today's standards.

So we went to check out this cute shop at the harbor with some friends. Parking is great, not hard to find in the corner of restaurants. Our kids wanted a sweet treat so we chose the Oreo and chocolate raspberry gelato. It was rich and creamy, just took awhile to get our order as they were telling us the ice cream was really hard to get out of the tub. I don't like to say anything negative about small shops but the one thing that stood out was just how inedible the cinnamon roll was, yes it's gluten free but it shouldn't taste so dry and chalky. One of the gals working there was kind enough to let us switch it for a brownie which tasted much better. She said it must have been dry because it was sitting out all day but still... I've had gluten free pastries before and it just should not taste like how it did. I know with small shops it takes time to get things right and we do want to come back to try their drinks. Our kids devoured the gelato! Thank you for accommodating us to switch our pastry!

It's ok i can be embarrassing. He wont read this lol Okay but this is what I mean when I say "local coffee shop energy." J.C. Beans is adorable. Not in a corporate "we ordered our personality from a catalog" way. In a real, slightly chaotic, neighbor-knows-your-name way. Small parking lot? Yes. But that just means you've found something worth gatekeeping. Also there are outdoor seating by the street AND the parking lot, in case you want to hide yourself from the rest of the world. (I'm team parking lot, hiding.) The staff? So nice. So friendly. Like genuinely warm humans. They even offered my dog treats without me awkwardly hovering and hinting. Immediate loyalty secured. And the WiFi? Slapped. Hord. Like, I could actually open PDFs, upload things, and pretend I was writing something groundbreaking instead of rearranging paragraphs for 40 minutes. Patio productivity with dog present = elite setup. Coffee was solid, vibes were solid, humans were solid. This is the kind of place you accidentally turn into your personality. Would return. With dog. With laptop.

One thing I really appreciated was that they opened at 5:30 a.m., since many coffee shops in the area don't open until 8-10 a.m. or sometimes even later. The location is right off PCH, making it a convenient stop, although the parking lot is very small and I could see it getting crowded if there were a long drive-through line. We initially parked and walked up to the door thinking we could order inside, but found out that orders are only taken through the drive-through that early. The ordering process was quick, and the barista was friendly and efficient. The drinks were decent overall, with a good coffee flavor, but nothing that really stood out. One thing that surprised me was the cost of the add-ons. My sister changed her milk to oat milk and added a pump of hazelnut, and both were an extra $1 each. The hazelnut flavor tasted good, but the additional charges felt a little steep. Overall, it was a convenient stop with solid coffee, especially if you need something early in the morning, but the pricing for customizations would make me think twice before ordering drinks again.

My friend and I ordered vanilla matcha drinks, but they didn't taste very good. The matcha had a strong, grassy taste, so we decided to order different drinks instead. The second drinks were okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the customer service was the biggest disappointment. My friend came back and asked for five paper plates. Since she is deaf, she was trying to communicate with the male employee by texting on her phone. Instead of being patient and understanding, he gave her an attitude and seemed upset with her. At one point, he yelled, "Just one paper plate!" We were very disappointed by the way she was treated, especially when she was simply trying to communicate. We hope the café can do better when it comes to treating all customers with kindness, patience, and respect. Because of this experience, we unfortunately won't be coming back.

They have cookies with fillings! And also some shakes and "dirty drinks" (flavored sodas). They have classic cookie options on the menu all the time and several cookie types that rotate weekly. I purchased two cookies and a drink. They have a couple tables inside but I decided to take the cookies home and enjoy the drink on the road. The two cookies I chose were the chocolate chip and the cookies & cream plus the Coco-Loco as my drink. The Coco-Loco is best described as a coconut Coke. It was fantastic, way better than I expected. I appreciated the finely ground ice in the bottom portion of the cup. My pet peeve is when places fill the cup to the top with ice and your drink is gone in three sips but here they provide just enough to keep it cold and refreshing. The cookies are presented in their own box and are large. They are soft cookies but ever-so-slightly crisp on the outside with soft fillings. The chocolate chip cookie had a filling that was essentially chocolate chip cookie dough. It was incredibly delicious and I would definitely get this one again. The cookies & cream had what tasted like Oreo frosting inside and was very good. It was a bit messier as it has crumbles on top and also the weight of the filling caused the soft cookie to fall apart, which one must be conscious of when eating these cookies. It's actually easier to eat when it's in a few pieces. Being a cookie-lover, I find what they have here to be better than what you get at other well-known cookie stores.
