The white sourdough is the best! Also, Vienna sourdough; excellent. Lots of fresh breads daily. GREAT spot!

Service was great. I don't see the value for the scones. My scone was barely bigger than a chocolate bar and cost almost $4. Shrinkflation. Their scones used to be much more substantial. I won't return.

Liked the bread and the varieties they have at this place. We joined the cobs club rewards and got 6 free gourmet buns. Their other breads are pretty great too. I liked the sourdough. Quick service and the place smells like fresh bread which is nice. I will come back again for some bread and like it that they have other locations.

I had the opportunity to try Cobs Bread's cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting after trying to find more local bakeries that offered cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls are not baked in a tray where they're all touching each other so that means that the textures of the cinnamon roll should be consistent (i.e. if they were baked together in those pans, the middle rolls would be much softer than the ones on the edges). As a result, the cinnamon roll was slightly burnt and hard on the edge and soft enough on the inside for me to devour. Cream cheese frosting is excellent and there's enough cinnamon and brown sugar to make it a treat! However, I would have much enjoyed it more if was softer. I'd totally come back to try their other products. I also appreciate how they only sell food that was baked the same day. We all need some freshness!

Cobs Bread is such a cute little bakery. The storefront is really small but with that it makes me feels like I am in carbs heaven!! Love those cute Pumpkin Cranberry Scone($1.50) and could not resist trying one of them. It has a texture of whole wheat bread but at 280 calories for that scone.. it is wise to share it with a friend. http://www.cobsbread.com/product.aspx?id=2009 It is great that Cobs Bread has all the ingredients/nutrition information on every item they baked..but sometimes the less I know maybe better??

These birthday cake scones were really good!

I love Cobs Bread. I've always loved them...I was sad they closed their Kensington Market location as that one was the closet one to me. This weekend I was up in the Spadina & Bloor area and found this one (their 370 Spadina location)! We immediately went in and found out ...hey...it was their 10th birthday! They were giving out birthday cake scones (chocolate scone bottom, vanilla scone top and topped with icing and sprinkles), they also had a spin the wheel with free bread you could win if you spend $10. Tip: always sign up to their mailing list because every month they tend to send coupons that include a free loaf of bread with purchase. Their scones are a bit pricy...1.95 each, so 6 scones is about $12, but this month they had a email coupon where with the purchase of 6 scones (or 6 tarts), you get a free loaf of bread (white or whole wheat) for free (that's about a $4-5 value). Their scones are really good though, fluffy, not too sweet....WAY better then Starbucks or other places. :-) Last month they had the same type of coupon but it was for 6 cinnamon buns (which were also quite good). I digress....I get excited too excited for coupons. So we bought $12 of scones and got a free loaf of bread, spun the wheel because it was their 10th anniversary, and won a half baguette (2.95). That's a lot of baked goods! Other then the fact that we are now SWIMMING in baked goods (since we already bought our baked goods for the week that morning....and had a baking exchange in the evening), we are super happy to have a house FULL of delicious scones, breads, cookies ... I just need to find time to go to the gym to work off all this extra carbs. :-P Happy 10th Birthday Cobs Bread! We love you and hope to see you on your 15th and 20th and 25th birthday!

My pumpkin scone after I'd smudged the icing. It was really cute though!

How do they choose the staff at Cobs? I'd love to know because this is the second branch I've tried and the staff here were just as smiley, enthusiastic and ridiculously friendly as the people in the shop at Kensington Market. The woman serving me beamed and applauded my selection of the seasonal pumpkin spice scone. They were just in that day and warm from the oven! I decided on an iced one and she deliberated over them trying to find the one with the best pattern-one of the others had iced some of them in a spiderweb pattern for the season. She made a huge effort to put paper on top as well to give me some hope of preserving the icing after placing it in the bag. I left the shop smiling. It wasn't just the prospect of the blood sugar spike, it was mainly the sweet service. The fact that the scone was light, fluffy and delicious was almost just a bonus!

Pumpkin scone is to die for. Has a variety of bread freshly baked behind the wall. The lady at the cash register is kind as well.

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
