Walking down on bayview I could smell freshly Baked bread. I walked into Cobs and I couldn't help myself. I ordered a blueberry custard danish; the dough was buttery and had a nice crunch. There was just the perfect amount of blueberries and custard! I would come back for sure! They also have all kinds of breads that looked delicious.

You won't walk by Cobs Bread without noticing it! That sweet smell of freshly baked bread just lingers in the air..... The store does get pretty busy especially when EPI is not open but the line moves fast. Great to pick up some freshly baked bread, rolls and some scones. Those Hot Cross Buns in several different flavours for Easter just looks so adorable!

Double chocolate scone love.

Service was excellent. Food was super fresh. Love their seasonal scones. There's nothing like fresh warm bread.

Bought the chi seed sourdough, olive loaf and small glazed cinnamon buns. I'd buy them all again. So much carbs but so good

The service is efficient and friendly. I've never seen more happy and merry staff. I enjoy the sesame loaf and the ham and cheese croissant.

Here is a hint always ask for light ice they still give you plenty of ice, even if the cold brew comes out cold. Otherwise you get a cup full of ice. De Mello coffee is expensivei. However, in the scheme of things it is a good value because the coffee beans they use have a good solid caffeine kick and it tastes good! (My overall favorite place is still across the street a couple blocks North at Himalayan coffee. It's folksy, a lot less expensive and I always feel happy there, especially after I get a cute latte art on my drink.). The Coconut island cost $8.50 plus tax or $9.60! De Mello Coffee is creative marketing their coffee beans. They have crazy names by cotton candy, lolipop, birthday cake, dead, man, walking, etc. however, a small bag of beans is super super expensive. But their marketing makes you wanna try it and then afterwards you're like oh I guess I taste something but it's still not worth the cost. I'm sorry if this review leaves you puzzled to go or not. It's worth trying. The baked goods look amazing and as long as you get one that is moist, are excellent. Well, I return? Yes.

I am 26 and I still get taken here if I behave when I get a needle. Also, it is the first stand alone cupcake shop I had ever been in when the cupcake craze started. So, this place is rather nostalgic for me. For a long time I thought it was the greatest cupcake shop in the world. Then I tried D'Liche cupcakes in Montreal so I know there are better cupcakes out there. With that said, the Cupcake Shoppe has pretty solid offerings. They have a variety of fun flavors that use either real buttercream or icing. Both toppings are great in their own right and usually quite flavorful, though the icing can be particularly sweet at times (I hve a sweet tooth so I'm okay with it but my mother wipes it off the top and just eats the cake with some icing). The base cakes are always moist and fresh. My preference is for their white or marble cakes but the chocolate is nice enough (just not my preference). While I no longer think these are the best cupcakes in the world, they still make me feel better after my needles and I am always happy when I walk away with these treats.

I ordered their pastiera napoletana after the owner recommended it as a dessert which was not too sweet and unequivocally stated that he made one of the best in the city. He was definitely right to be confident. Light and fragrant, the smooth aroma of the orange balanced very well with the crispy, delicate crust. I only got in a few bites before the rest was devoured by my family. It is a slightly expensive treat, but one I can see myself not being able to resist on future special occasions. Speaking of the owner, what a charming and delightful character! Extremely amiable and welcoming, giving the place the vibe of an authentic Italian bakery. Give this underrated spot a try!

Sweetcultura may have just become my favourite Italian bakery in the city (and with all the amazing…read moreoptions here, that's saying something). It basically boils down to this: Chef Andrea knows his flavours. You could put a blindfold on me and I'd be able to tell you what flavour the cannoli or cookie is - it's that distinct and powerful and satisfying. My wife and I have had stuff delivered twice now, and both times were a big hit with our tastebuds and tummies. We got: - Cannolis: All assortments of flavours (I liked the ricotta, tiramisu and amarena ones the most). The filling was consistently smooth and creamy, and the shell was perfectly crunchy. - Cookies: Tried the mango cream and coconut ones. But were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. And wow did the flavours burst when you bit into them. - Chocolate Babka: A tad dry on the edges (though the inside was moist) but I loooooooooved how much dark chocolate there was swirling in and around the whole loaf. - Strawberry Tart (mini): Good amount of strawberries, really smooth base cream, and the shell was melt-in-your-mouth awesome. - Bolognese Lasagna and Garlic Bread: The lasagna was super cheesy, which I love. And the garlic bread, despite being delivered, tasted freshly baked and had just the right amount of garlic. Also, at $17 for a small tray of lasagna (good for 2-3 people), it was definitely great value for money. In addition, they gave us a couple of free mini samples to try: - Linzer Torte: Good quality raspberry jam with a nice nutty crust. - Torta Ricotta, Mascarpone and Chocolate Chips: Just the lightness of the cheese mixed with the sweet hits of the chocolate chips was a great balance. As you can see, we've tried quite a lot of the stuff on their menu, and every single one of them was a hit. That's really really hard to do. Sweetcultura's world may revolve around sweets, but its culture is surely grounded in excellence.
