Finally made it to this place. Good beers to drink, liquor available, a nice bar to sit at, great sevice from Ester at the bar, and great recommendation on the double Curtido burger that had an egg on it and red cabbage slaw...it really brought it all together with the salt n vinegar fries. I'll be back. 5 stars.

Another Church Hill establishment that has surpassed expectations - providing yet another reassurance that CH is one of the best neighborhoods in the entire city :) not biased or anything of course. This place's vibe is just very cool - fairly dark/gothic and metal-ish in character, quick and responsive service (especially when you need to swing back after getting the wrong thing), and with plenty of indoor seating. The burgers deserve their own paragraph - jam and ranch together, despite what you would think, just work (for the Spawn Ranch Burger) and the crispy salami and hot peppers pack a unique punch to every bite for the Jabroni. Plus - dip anything in that Cobra Sauce and you can't go wrong. I will warn you though - they are quite thin and can be easily overpowered by a thick bun, so consider the double. Overall, LOVE it. Put this place on your list IMMEDIATELY.

The rest of the reviews seem to share in the fact that the burgers are great but the environment is a bit.. different. I honestly enjoyed the variety of choices on the menu and was pleasantly surprised at how good the fries and venom burger sauce were. It is on the smaller size so you will most likely wait for a table. It's seat yourself, serve yourself. You will have to go up and put in your own orders for food/drinks. Also make sure to clean up after yourself! None of this is an issue, but I found it comical that the default 20%+ comes up on your screen. Overall it's worth checking out for a great burger choice. They also have a Togo window avilable for a burger grab option.

We were in Richmond for a quick weekend getaway. Hubby found this spot for burgers and we definitely didn't pass up the opportunity to try it out! I was intrigued by the pictures of fries and the toppings for their burgers. Love the fact that they offer vinegar as a condiment here! The music playing was not my style so we kinda ate and ran. I won't take off stars for that. Service was super quick and our burgers were cooked to perfection. Absolutely loved the fries! If we visit Richmond again and in the mood for a burger, we plan on stopping by again!

I really enjoyed the place. The hamburger was a Smashburger and was quite tasty with interesting and yummy toppings, but don't ask to switch things around get what is on the menu. They had some really good sodas that were more small craft sodas. They have a full bar and several beers on tap. The one thing I will say bad about it is they like their heavy metal music and hard to have a conversation!

4/5 due to price point. I love burgers, especially smash burgers. Cobra delivers everything you'd want in a smash burger and then some. The made in house pickled red onions provide that tanginess to break up the fat from the burger and they make a perfect marriage. The patty is crispy on the edges, meaty, savory, and made with very good quality beef. The bun holds well to the mass they assemble in between so don't worry about mushy bread at the last bite. Shredduce is necessary and makes me feel me feel healthy so thank you. THE SAUCE...it's okay on its own but when paired with Pattie's it's next level. The fries are good but not $3.50 for a side good if that makes sense. I'd pay the extra $1 or even $2 but anything more than that starts feeling like 5 Guys and I'd want a bag with a ton in the bottom. If you are a burger person then this is a place to sit your butt down for a good experience. Just be prepared for the price point.

It is fast casual - you order at the kiosk and grab a place to eat, listening for your number and/or text to alert you the food is ready. We arrived about 6pm on a Saturday night. It was busy and I grabbed one of the last two tables. It got very busy shortly after we placed our orders. The dining area is pretty big with plenty of bar seating around the windows. While we all ordered one after the other, our food didn't come out that way. Most of the food came out in about 25-30 minutes. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy! Two people got tenders and three of us got sandwiches. The OG sandwich was very good, just messy! I ended up using a fork and knife bc it got too messy. The Mac and cheese was made with pimento cheese and was very good. My friend who got the fried green tomatoes said they were delicious and filling. Lots of goodies on top. Two friends enjoyed the collards. The only person who was underwhelmed was the person who got the Asian sandwich. Overall, if I wanted a good chicken sandwich and a Buttermilk and Honey was nearby, I'd place an order.

We walked in to find the staff bustling, cooking, and prepping orders, and the smell of some delicious fried chicken in the air. I saw the kiosks and was not too thrilled with the Wawa experience, but we gave it a shot anyway, since fried chicken is one of our favorites. The process was simple and allowed us to add or remove anything we could want, so that was nice. While walking to find a seat, we saw a person panhandling in the dining area, but the staff promptly removed him from the premises. I ordered us the Pimento Cheese Balls for an appetizer, and I chose the Fried Chicken and French Toast as my entree because I always try the "chicken and waffles" at every establishment that offers it. My partner ordered the OG Chicken Sandwich without tomato, and it came with crinkle-cut fries. It was about $40. The chef proclaimed our order was ready in quick succession, maybe three orders behind the guests before us. We waited about ten minutes, maybe fifteen at most. We picked up the orders from the counter, and there was a mix-up on the syrup, but the chef promptly rectified the situation. He was a no-nonsense kind of guy; straight to the point. He seemed firm, yet kind. It was clear the day had been a busy one; he even told us as much, which was great to hear (busy = fantastic food). The French toast squares looked like rye or pumpernickel, and they emitted a sweet aroma, a delightful hit of cinnamon and brown sugar. I drizzled the caramel syrup on my chicken and toast, sliced a piece, and paired a bite of chicken with the toast. I closed my eyes to savor the flavors: the toast was crunchy and almost gooey (yet, not overly so), the chicken was crunchy, the sweet cinnamon-y flavors from the toast, the caramel from the syrup, and the tender, moist chicken were a match made in culinary art. I cannot sufficiently describe the French toast in a way that would do it justice; it was crunchy and semi-gooey, and all scrumptious. I can only say it was the single best French toast that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Next, I tried the fried pimento cheese balls. Oh my. If you like mozzarella sticks, try these. I adored them: elevated fried cheese, for real. My partner enjoyed her sandwich as well; she ate everything except some of her fries. I saved half of my chicken and toast for today because I am like a treasure golem when it comes to delicious leftovers. I am going to air-fry the chicken and skillet-heat the toast back to its original goodness. I told the cooks that that was the best French toast that I have ever had, and I mean it. Do yourself a favor and try it if you're into French toast. This one is the GOAT. Side note: I spoke with the head chef outside, and he is from another branch (possibly Henrico?) to whip this location back into shape. Two words: "Nailed it."

My go to is always the chipotle chicken quesadilla with rice and plantains. Unlike the other Mexican cart on campus, not sure the name but it's painted orange, Papa Mingo is very very generous with their protein. My quesadilla was oozing out cheese and chicken...just how I like it! I also tried the steak burrito previously and without fail, every bite had an equal proportion of steak, rice, salsa and hot sauce. Perfection. If you order an entree, you get all of the sides available. With a quesadilla you get 2 sides and no sides with the burrito. My favorite side is the plantains. It's not overly sweet and love the texture. I tend to get too excited with the hot sauce. I pour it on everything. The owners, who are hilarious by the way, warn me every time but of course I never learn. The heat is not unbearable for those who like spice but beware, it's a building heat. Next food truck friday, go try it out!

When we got there, the drive-through line wrapped around the parking lot, when we walked in, the one inside was equally long. They were so busy that they had to pause orders for a little bit, but the major hold up was with the wings. The way the counter was incredibly nice and helpful. Because we opted to not get the wings since we were hungry, our food came out very quickly. They were kind enough to also include an extra piece in both! The size of the pieces were also very generous, and between the three of us, we had plenty of leftovers. The chicken itself was crispy and delicious, and I loved the wide variety of sauce options that they had. the potato wedges were also great, though I found the mac & cheese and green beans a little bit forgettable. The cashier had told us that the apples were one of her favorite signs, and they were definitely delicious!
