The food tasted great, there weren't many waiters, and the service wasn't particularly fast, but the environment was simple and clean!

My family and I came to Cobani in Half Moon Bay for Father's Day dinner without any expectations, and we were absolutely blown away. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. We tried the combo gyro wrap, a platter, and all of the baklava varieties, and every single item was outstanding. The ingredients tasted fresh, the meats were perfectly cooked, and the baklava was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Last Tuesday I was just sick of cooking and wanted to watch basketball anyway. There were a bunch of things at Cobani that I wanted to try so we got take out. It arrived right on time! Here's what we got: chicken shwarma plate - a tad dry but some of the best flavored i've had mixed grill plate - outstanding. The kebabs are still my favorite, chicken especially. Greek Salad- excellent. not too much feta, some interesting additions like little chunks of pickle Eggplant salad- this was not a repeater, unfortunately. It was woefully underseasoned and very oily. Too bad. I usually love the vegetables that were in it. The portions were huge. We actually had 2 dinners and 1 lunch from this order. I'm going to lunch there again tomorrow! read more

Amazing Mediterranean cuisine in the heart of Half Moon Bay!! Super friendly service and unbelievably tasty food. And such a great value for money! The outside of the building may not look fancy, and it isn't super fancy insides. But it's clean and bright inside with a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, small plates and desserts (including several varieties of baklava). If you're not sure what to get, try the appetizer sampler plate, and the mixed grill platter. You have to try this place. We loved it!! read more

I was a bit sad to see that this restaurant had changed ownership but due to the positive reviews we decided to try lunch here - We ordered the fried calamari and the shrimp plate = I have to say that this is the first time that we just didn't find this worth eating - the breading came off entirely as you ate it = no tender pieces of calamari flavoring coming through and after hiking for a few hours -we were hungry = so mostly uneaten - Shrimp plate has 7 or so seasoned small size shrimps which were ok = one piece of warmed store bought pita bread and a salad with a oily dressing - the salad took over most of the plate - and best part was the rice actually - no hummus or anything comes with this ....very pricey meal for meh results. read more

My first visit. Lunch on a weekday I had the fried calamari it was absolutely perfectly fried. I had the tartar sauce and it was very good as well. I would recommend this although it's a little pricey but so is fish in general. I will come back to try the Falafel next. read more

Stopped the new Mediterranean restaurant on 92/Main St. it was great for just a few days being open. They even have alcohol available. We have the appetizer plate and the mixed grill. They also had Vostra Prosecco for me and Josh Cab for Kev. Everything was delicious. Something's were spicy for me. An interesting display of desserts that I was not too familiar with. That might be our next visit. But, it was a great place to stop at a the rain started to pick up. read more

Exceeded my expectation. I had the beef shish kebab platter. The meat was tender, the tzatziki sauce was perfect for the meat, the salad was very crisp & fresh. Me and my group of 4 were looking for a place to eat on a Sunday, around 8,9 pm basically everything was close, we were loosing hope to find a good warm meal and we came across this place. It basically was heaven sent. I called and the owner was really friendly and accommodating to us being a little on the late side. We got to the restaurant and the food was delicious. I grew up eating Mediterranean food that my mom cooked and consider myself a good judge of that cuisine. Our meals at Cobani were absolutely delicious and very traditional. Everything was fresh, seasoned perfectly, great portions. Myself and my companions had dolmas, falafel, stuffed eggplant, chicken kebabs, hummus, flatbread and baklava. The tables are nicely spaced inside, beautiful decorations and paintings, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back. I've already decided what to order next time!! And it is easy to get to; right at Hwy 92 and Main Street, across the street from the 7-11, painted turquoise with a big parking lot out front. I'm an HMB local and love having another excellent restaurant to add to my list of go-to places: Cobani is definitely on the list now. A friend and I each ordered the mixed grill. Portions were beyond generous and the food itself was very tasty. Especially loved whatever the pickled vegetable was in the salad--so tangy and refreshing. The only negative for us was how loud it got when the place was full. I think when voices are loud the music can be turned off...it just adds to the noise. Otherwise, all was great including the competent and friendly servers. Was very glad to see the place full and that it's so popular for a place that's new. See you again soon! read more

Our family of 7 just got takeout here, with a variety of different items, and every single one of us thought it was delicious! (And we have some picky/judgy people too!) The servings were plentiful, and everything was extremely flavorful, fresh, and well seasoned. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and incredible. The side salads were very fresh with great dressings. Both the chicken shish kebab and chicken gyro plates were incredible (I'm not sure if I have ever had tastier chicken then their chicken gyro!). Falafel, dolmas, salmon plate, and Alexander kebob were all enjoyed by others too. The ezme side was rich, spicy, flavorful and unique. This was a top notch place and we plan on making it a regular spot. So happy that they opened up this new spot in HMB! read more

This place was amazing all around. Service was outstanding, food authentic and incredible! I had chicken kabob plate which was delicious. The pita bread was fresh and warm.
