As you can see from my more than ten past reviews over 4 years and my last review in August 2025…read morethis is now one of my top three happy hour restaurants during the off season. I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. The staff here are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On Black Friday I purchased another $1k in gift cards for the off season from Off The Hook and Hooked in OC. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.

We also totally lucked out without having a reservation and got two seats at the bar. The hostess was super nice and gave us plenty of time before a reservation was due at 7pm. Shout out to the two, super-awesome bartenders who made our dinner even more enjoyable. For a small restaurant, it seemed like they made 1000 drinks while we had dinner! I wish my phone didn't die and I would have had more pictures. But I'll tell you that the food here is amazing and you can see they really put a lot of work and care into every single ingredient. My husband even noticed the micro cilantro in the carrot tahini hummus! The ingredients are all busting with flavors. I had the swordfish, which was brown butter basted and very tasty and prepared with caramelized baby turnips & fennel- so good! My husband even noticed enjoyed his caesar and steak salad and we both ate every last drop. While we were kinda in the heat of everything.. busy bar and right next to the kitchen, the energy in the restaurant was amazing and you could tell the whole restaurant was working hard for the busy holiday crowd. I'm grateful we got those two seats at the bar. 14 Global is a wonderful restaurant with a scrumptious and ecletic coastal cuisine. Next time I will definitely make a reservation!

I will summarize my three most recent visits in March during the off season on Friday's at 4 PM. We arrived at 3:50 PM prior to their open at 4 PM. Already two people were online. We waited in my Audi waiting for other customers to arrive. Other vehicles arrived around 3:55 PM so we exited my Audi to get in line behind the other two customers. When they opened at 4 PM we secured our favorite table for 4 to the left of the entrance. We were happy that Mike from his former Catch 54 served our table. We first met Mike here at Bluecoast back in 2021. Also Kelly from her former Off The Hook also stopped by to say hello. We enjoyed our dozen Chunu Virginia oysters. I also enjoyed my usual tuna poke for $15 with white rice, carrots, pineapple and jalapeno peppers. I ended my meal with a pineapple martini for $8. We returned here for our second visit with our friends. Since there were five of us we sat in their second booth on the right. Again Mike stopped by to say hello. I started with my margarita with salted rim for $9. Kelly delivered our dozen of the Chunu Virginia oysters for $12 to also say hello. I also enjoyed my two pineapple martinis for $8 each. I also enjoyed my tuna and salmon poke for $16. We also shared a bottle of Trefethen chardonnay for $58 with the Friday 1/2 price wine reduced down to $29. My total bill was reduced down from $143 to $114. Lindsay S. served us very well as usual. We returned for our third visit on Friday. We sat at the table to the left of the entrance. Kelly and Mike stopped by to say hello. I started with my margarita for $8 and ended with my pineapple martini also for $8. Again, I enjoyed my dozen Chunu Virginia oysters and my poke. Alexis D. served us very well. Customer service and friendship are most important. We will continue to return here for the off season happy hour.

It was a pretty good atmosphere and there was live music outside at 6pm or so. We were inside and could still hear it some. The food is all over the place and more sports bar than Mexican restaurant. I ordered fajitas triple (steak, chicken, and shrimp. The platter was on a sizzling dish. The portion of meat was acceptable but as the old lady from the old Wendy's commercial said "Where's the Veggies". Im not sure if they were running low or what but honestly it was hard to find the onion or peppers. And astonishing but no rice and beans. So for the $25 or so price it was too small for all the wrong reasons. The wife wanted chicken casadilla. But it had buffalo sauce. We had a nice waiter from Romania but not sure why he didn't recommend no sauce but she wound up with shrimp & crab. Honestly I tried them and it was just weird. They were topped by some kind of yum yum type sauce.

We had a very nice experience: it's adorable inside, with a very inviting interior and strings of lights all around. We ordered margaritas and were told it was happy hour pricing, so they were $7 instead of $9. Tasty! The server brought complimentary chips and salsa - you could tell everything was fresh/homemade. For a Mexican restaurant, there are a surprising number of non-Mexican items on the menu. We both had items labeled "new" on the menu: tuna nachos and a Cajun grilled chicken sandwich served with homemade potato chips. Everything was delicious! The nachos were made with fried wontons versus corn chips - a clever decision. I forget all the toppings on my chicken sandwich, but it was all delicious. Service was quick and efficient too - we'll definitely return!

We were first here with our friends around 4 PM on Friday for happy hour at the bar. I enjoyed my two pineapple juice with vodka for $5 each. I also enjoyed my whole one pound steamed lobster with drawn butter and a choice of two sides for $30. I enjoyed my two favorite sides namely the asparagus and sweet potato fries. My total bill was $70. I redeemed my $25 Toast birthday credit to my bill so my net cost was reduced from $70 down to $45. I also applied my balance to my gift card from November 2024, excluding gratuity. I returned here again around 4 PM with my friend for happy hour on lobster Tuesday. I enjoyed my two rum and cokes for $5 each. I also enjoyed my two Big Oyster Midnight Kraken draft stout beers in a snifter also for $5 each. I also enjoyed my lobster tail jambalaya for $22, which I was able to finish this time, since the quantity was decreased due to inflation. My total bill was $41.50 excluding gratuity, which again I used my gift card. We agreed we will continue to return here for happy hour.
