When I later inquired about exchanging the unused lenses, they denied the possibility, only for my insurance to confirm that I should have been given my preferred contacts from the start. Rather than informing me of all my options upfront, they withheld crucial information, causing unnecessary frustration and financial strain. They only changed course **after** my insurance contacted them, which makes it clear that they had the facts all along but failed to act in my best interest. Whether due to negligence or greed, this experience was unacceptable. Patients deserve honesty and providers who prioritize their well-being--not ones who make things harder for them.

Not only were we treated like a VIP but it beats the big 2, Lencrafters and Vision works in care and service. The only drawback is the selection of glasses. However, we were pleased with our new frames that we get every 2 years. In the future, contact lenses might be an option, but I can not put the lenses in my eyeballs. I guess it is a fear of poking myself in the eye. I had one reservation about Coastal Clear Eyecare since my eye prescription changed every year, I could not retain my old prescription for my Rayban sunglasses. I would have to pay an additional charge. They did advertise some sort of special. If you are in the mood for an eyecare lab that is low key and will treat you as a person and not a number run don't walk to Coastal Clear Eyecare. Tell them Jerry sent you!

Everything was very efficient and easy to follow. They only allow a few patients/clients in the place at once. Since there was only one doctor working today, I had to wait a bit in between my exam. After dealing with the hassles at Eyeglass World for the last two years, I decided to try a different approach. These folks know the value of excellent service. Despite my teenage daughter browsing their selection for nearly 2 hours without choosing frames from them, they maintained their friendly, non-pushy attitude and really seemed to care more about my daughter's happiness with her choice than about making a buck. She's 15 and must have taken 20 pictures with different frames and "twitted, or twitterd, or whatever" to just about every friend she has... "Do you like these or these?" At the end of that timeframe I was ready to scream, but they just offered us juice, water or soda. Our family will make this their first choice every time.

Yesterday I had a bit of an eye emergency. I've been dealing with a stye since last week and it got…read moreworse over the weekend (it grossed me out). My eye was swollen, my vision started to become blurry, and it was uncomfortable. I called Atlantic Eye Institute to see if they could fit me in for a same day appointment. I was NOT holding out hope, but when I called I was pleasantly surprised they had something open that afternoon. When I arrived I filled out virtual paperwork, and then waited in the lobby until my name was called. I can't remember the nurse I had, but she was pleasant, asked a bunch of questions regarding the state of my eye, did some observations, and then walked me to an open room. Dr. Diaz came in happy as a clam. Greeted me with a nurse. I told her I was sorry that my eye looked disgusting and she smiled and said these are interesting to us. So that made me feel somewhat better. After looking at my eye, she decided to drain the stye, due to the size, the discomfort I was having. It didn't hurt, she prescribed me a steroid antibiotic cream, and made me a follow up appointment and I was on my way. I was happy and grateful they could fit me in on the same day, because I was miserable before I came in.

The lady at the front desk asked me for my name and phone number to "put me on the schedule." I told her that I was just looking and did not want an appointment. She pressed me further and told me that they wanted to know who is in the building, which seemed odd. So, I gave her my name and phone number. Then, she asked for my birthday. I'm more or less flabbergasted at this point, since the business is located in Orange Park, not Beverly Hills. I told her to just put down 1/1/2020. Another staff member came out to request my birthday because they want to know who is in the building. Good grief, do they have a lot of thefts in that area? I have never had anyone ask for my personal details in order to look at eyeglasses frames.
