This bagel shop is located in a little shopping center and seems to have a drive thru but when we attempted that it r were a bit confused on how to worked so just decided to park and go in. They offer some coffee options and a slew of bagels with flavored cream cheese. They have breakfast sandwiches and lunch options as well. I noticed they had honey walnut cream cheese which is one of my favorites so would love to try that some time! They have a drink cooler with some soda, coffee cans, and energy drinks. I grabbed a bloom! I ordered the works which is smoked salmon, onions, capers and tomato's with cream cheese on a bagel of your choice. I got the everything bagel. There's way too much cream cheese on the bagel though so I would ask for light cream cheese next time, and light onions. It was a bit overpowering. The bagel has a TON of seasonings which I loved! I'm from New Jersey and my husband is from New York and we love these bagels, especially the bacon egg and cheese. Our kids do too! And we always get one of their donuts if they haven't run out. One time they forgot our donut in a pickup order and when my husband called they offered to drive a donut over to our house, and threw in a cookie, too! We came early Sunday morning and there was a line. There was only one register but another staff member came out to take our order on the side. It seemed really fast. We ordered 2 bagels with meat, egg and cheese and a cinnamon roll to go. They had a lot of bagels and dessert options. When we got home our sandwiches were tasty. I only had 2 thin slices of ham on mine but it was very filling. The cinnamon roll was good but didn't exactly look like the ones in the window. Wasn't as puffy. Honestly, I'm shocked the rating is so low for this place! We really enjoy going here for bagels in the morning. I love the fact that they have a pick-up drive thru. I call on my way to daycare drop off and I don't even need to get out of the car. I pop over it the window and DONE! I've always had a pleasant experience here and the bagels are delicious. We usually like to order a few for the week to eat if we remember to store them. Love the sesame, French toast, everything bagels! Staff has been friendly too. I hope their ratings get better!! Decided to give this place a try , looking for a great bagel. The place is clean , neat and the staff pleasant. Two bagels were ordered, one a salt and the other an everything bagel. Both looked great , I only have a picture of the salt one. The salt on top was plentiful and the everything mix was also plentiful. The bagel is soft , had great flavor however lacks the very important crispy texture of the outside. I was hoping to find the type of bagel that I grew up with . I only ate half of it , saving the other half for the day after. Usually the day after salt bagels are soft from the salt . Not this one , the salt intact and the soft bread still present . I have been repeatedly disappointed by coastal bagels in the past and I should have just passed on by. The girls at work wanted breakfast sandwiches and so I thought I'd give it one last chance and try a sandwich. I ordered a BLT on wheat. What arrived was more like a mountain of funky tasting yellow lettuce on bread with tomato and 3 strips of bacon. I am grateful they sent the mayo on the side so that the bread didn't get soggy in transport. But $10 for a sandwich that has 3 strips of bacon and soggy fries? As a native New Yorker, bagels are essential to a life worth living. Anyone from the tri state area knows that other bagels miss the mark - too bready, not chewy... it's just not the same. I stand corrected as Coastal Bagels have 100% nailed the New York bagel... I took a sigh of relief with each bite, and will be returning. This is our favorite bagel place in town!! The service is always great. The bagels are wonder and fresh. The Asiago bagel is my top choice. We always grab a sugared donut. You'd think after after opening his 3rd, or even 4th bagel shop they'd get better, but by far the bottom of the barrel out of all of them. This would be my 2nd time at Coastal Bagels, since the first time "they couldn't toast the bagel", so I thought id give them a 2nd shot. Nope. Weak on the meat. Doesn't ask how you want your egg. This place does not understand customer service. I arrived at 1:50 pm and they close at 2:00 pm and wanted to get a sandwich. I was told it was to late and all they had was a bagel. Now I have been in the food service business and other business and if your open and talking to a customer you do what ever you can to meet there needs. This place does not seem to get that. I had been there once before and had a bagel at it was soft and tasty but not what I would call a good bagel as a good NY style Jewish bagel should have a tough outer crust and be chewy and there bagels are certainly not that. read more
