My husband had a great experience and delicious bagels yesterday morning so I was looking forward to the opportunity to try for myself before we left town... I was greeted with an eye roll and frustration when I walked in the front doors because I interrupted her eating. I have NO problem with someone making sure they are fed but when my entering the establishment is met with frustration and annoyance, I chose to say "never mind" and leave after she asked "what do you want?" walked across the street from my hotel at 7:45, lights were on and a young lady was visible, but closed sign was on the door and the hours said open at 7. The door opened, young lady said they were open and changed the sign. I asked for one iced coffee and one hot tea, was informed no hot tea. Strange but I ordered a hot coffee. I ordered a wheat bagel with cream cheese and a asiago bagel with butter. I started fixing the coffees when I was informed they were out of butter. No milk or cream for the coffee so I asked for some, I was given 2%, and asked for regular or 1/2 & 1/2 to be informed 2% was all they had. Not sure how they get repeat customers. read more

I don't have a depth of bagel experience. I do enjoy a salmon all the way- this was my second time ducking in after a nearby appointment. The salmon helping is generous and modifiers are asked for- I chose a toasted Everything bagel, light capers. Everyone was friendly- I got an extra bagel to take home. Like my first visit? This is a one man shop so don't expect the fastest service but they are delicious bagels. Right on water Street you can grab a bagel and go sit out on the pier on the water. They didn't have a very good coffee menu so I did grab my bagel, then go across the street to a coffee shop. read more

The lady working at the front was miserable, did not say hello just said "what do you want", we ordered and she just flipped the screen around to ask for a tip and walked away. I always tip as long as you're nice I don't care if the food is bad. Only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 is because the food was good. Ordered a breakfast sandwich from this place. For one the girl working had an attitude I was tempted to leave. The bagel on my sandwich wasn't cooked but raw in the middle full of raw dough. you would think she would have noticed when she cut into it but nope. The bagels are great! The only reason this place isn't 5 stars across the board is because the coffee is just okay. (Even then, the coffee was better than I expected for a small grab and go bagel shop.) I had a French toast bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. This was a very nice combo, and calming to my stomach after a huge dinner the night before. My husband had a bacon, egg, and cheese on Asiago bagel. He said it was really great! He wasn't a fan of the coffee at all. We really appreciated that they let us get coffee in our own reusable travel mugs, and they have half & half, milk, sugar, syrups, etc. for the coffee. I am hoping to return before our vacation ends to try out the spinach pepper Jack bagel! read more

So glad that Bagels on Pointe opened a downtown location! They seem to have taken over for what was previously Tug Boat Tony's and I welcome the change. The bagels are always super fresh and they don't skimp on the cream cheese (which is always OK in my book). We love the spinach and Asiago bagel as well as the jalapeño cheese bagel. They do tend to run out of bagel options (at least in our experience on the weekends) so try to get there before 11 if you can. read more

Driving for Lyft it is a rare instance when I can stop for food during the day. Well, I ran into a favorite place for a smoothie and was headed back to the car when the ride I'd had canceled. I just happened to be in front of Bagels on Pointe, so decided to give them a try. Very nice, clean place and has a great selection of bagel sandwiches. I ordered the egg and cheese on a toasted onion bagel and it was really flavorful. By the time I had finished half I got another call (reminds me how busy I was as a paramedic in Charlotte!), so I finished the other half in the car. Very nice and I will be back. read more

I love bagels made by the business sells them! This business has 2 locations and other is where they are made and that's awesome! I came in on cool day and all I wanted was a bacon egg and cheese bagel!! They were so nice and helpful. The menu is pretty nice. Lots of choices from breakfast to lunch.. different meats and selections of cheeses to put on your bagel selection. I ate mine in my car because o was hungry!! There's not a lot of seating at this location but across street is waterfront so you can get your selection and walk along riverfront. Not many bagel places can ya do that!! I was very happy with my selection the everything bagel is my favorite and it was nice and soft on inside.. I bought some of that and some jalopino cheddar to give to my hubby..prices were very reasonable especially considering the area.. Highly recommend Bagels on Pointe if you're in Wilmington and need a yummy breakfast or lunch on the Riverfront! Coming from a Jersey girl, these bagels are darn near close to as good as the bagels in Jersey (I'm not allowed to say otherwise about jersey bagels ). The best part is their delicious bagel sandwich menu though. We're talking options that include the typical breakfast meats, but with additional toppings like jalapeños, hot sauce and even French fries! Also plenty of other types of bread and wraps available! I wish I had a photo to post but I scarfed that bagel down too fast. You won't be disappointed! read more

Stopped by here because neither local restaurant wasn't open. Turns out it was my good fortune. It was kind of busy but the two young ladies working were fast, accurate, and nice. Hidden gem!! My husband and I stopped in on our way out of town today. I had a toasted everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and my husband had toasted jalapeño with jalapeño cream cheese. Plenty of crunchy seasoning on the outside of bagel with proportionate amount of cream cheese on both. Delicious!!! If you have a chance to stop by, you should!! If not for the bagels then for the the one woman show behind the counter!!! I was worried when we walked in and saw just one person working. We almost walked out until I was frozen in place watching this "powerhouse" multi task between taking orders, cooking and working the line solo. She was absolutely amazing and mesmerizing!!! I hope the owner (if not her) realize how lucky they are to have such experience behind the counter. She was totally unflappable under the stress and with a smile on her face!
