Five Stars I stopped by Seaside Bagels after missing McDonald's breakfast, and I'm glad I did. This place reminded me why local businesses are often the better choice. The everything bagel with sausage and egg was outstanding. One thing that immediately stood out was that the seasoning actually covers the entire bagel--not just the top like you find at so many places. Looking around, it appears they do the same with their sesame, poppy, and other specialty bagels. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in every bite. The restaurant was clean, bright, and welcoming. Their chalkboard menu is easy to read, there's an impressive variety of bagels, breakfast sandwiches, cream cheese flavors, and even a full vegan menu. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. What impressed me even more than the food was the staff. Everyone I encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming. They noticed I was a military veteran and applied the veteran discount without me having to ask, which was a thoughtful gesture that I sincerely appreciated. Whether you're grabbing breakfast on the way to work or just looking for a great bagel, Seaside Bagels is well worth the stop. This bagel shop has lots of unique bagel and cream cheese options, so I had to try a fun one! I went with the spinach pepper jack bagel, which has a nice crispy layer of the cheese on the outside and a fluffy inside. I also got the sundried tomato cream cheese which had great flavor and big pieces of tomato. The ambiance is very cute inside and has some seating, as well as a drive thru option. So good we came back 2x on our ~2.5 day trip to Carolina Beach. Absolutely love that they have a convenient drive thru (so did our dogs, they got treats!) and these were some of the best bagels we have had in NC. We loved the everything bagel, but the jalapeño cheddar was a showstopper. Get it as a bacon egg & cheese and add a cream cheese of your choice. You won't regret it. read more

I came here for a morning breakfast bagel sandwich not too long ago. It was my first time coming here after frequently visiting a different bagel place nearby. I can tell you I will definitely be back! The food was so delicious! I also really loved the service - it was very clear that the vibe inside of the café was calm and there is a lot of regulars. While I was there waiting for my bagel, I saw a lot of employees greeting customers by name and joking around. Everybody seemed to feel very comfortable there. Yes I would recommend. What I don't recommend is that when someone says they are vegan and you have a vegan menu yet you look at them perplexed. Then you mess up the order entirely and talk crap because I'm asking you to fix the order that was messed up to begin with. But for non vegans, it's a pretty good spot. This was a great place to pickup Lox bagels at 11:45am on a Sunday morning before going on a family hike in Carolina Beach State Park. Lots of pluses. First of all, this place has an informal and welcoming interior. It's popular on weekends! Although only plain bagels were still available, the combination of cream cheese, capers, and lox was satisfying after a 2 mile hike. Second, it has a drive-thru window (convenient if you're on the go). Third, the staff are really friendly (at least on a Sunday morning). Even though I could tell they were slammed with many customers earlier in the morning, I really appreciated their friendly service. As far as bagel places go, this is it. Open from 6:30 (I think) to 2:00pm, they offer fresh bagels and a dozen sandwich options to choose from. You can also build your own (with Boar's Head! The best!). The most impressive thing though, is there vegan menu. Attached below, it has sandwiches that meat lovers would appreciate. We went at 1:30, so we didn't have a lot to see, but the bagels we could see were beautiful. We got the lox on an everything bagel and a mozzarella tomato on Asiago. Wowwww Total was $18 before tip, so definitely priced like a sandwich. They were filling and tasty, so I can't disagree there. I'm glad I don't live closer or I'd be there every day! read more

I used to frequent Seaside Bagels in high school. I no longer live in Wilmington but every time I visit it's a must have. My favorite sandwich is the caesar on Asiago and I also like honey walnut cream cheese on cinnamon crunch. They also have many vegan options and offer a gluten free bun. Insuring everyone regardless of diet can find something for them. It's not just the delicious food and beverages that keep me coming back. I absolutely love their mission and values. Admittingly, I'm a self-proclaimed bagel snob. I think that the bagel selection in Wilmington, NC is severely lacking -- producing dense bagels with little to no flavor. What I can say about Seaside Bagels is that they seem to be doing the best job out of those that I've tried. There menu selections are far and away more appealing than other places and their staff seems like they're actually focused on providing something that tastes good! I've been to Seaside Bagels twice and have had really positive experiences both times. They have a really extensive menu, filled with options for vegans, gluten free people, and people with dietary restrictions. They come up with new types of bagels all the time and are always crafting new cream cheese recipes to go with them. In my last trip, I got the asiago bagel, with egg and cheddar cheese. It was very reasonably priced. I used a coupon from the Attractions book so that my friend could a breakfast bagel for free. I also got a soft drink and had free refills as I sat and chatted with friends for over an hour. My food was prepared quickly and delivered to me by one of the employees. They were well staffed, so we were served quickly in spite of it being very packed. There was also a steady stream of people moving through the drive-through, so I was impressed as the staff kept up with orders. At Wilmington VegFest, I got the bagel chips from their booth and they were a crisp and tasty treat. They were basically thinly sliced bagel slices. Another thing that I like about this place is that they have a program for job training and work opportunities to individuals on the autistic spectrum. They are also actively LGBT friendly (and especially trans friendly) and a great place for LGBT folks to gather. If I lived closer, I'd be at Seaside Bagels all the time. read more

We had 4 different items to order and didn't wait more than 5 minutes before getting our food. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese bagel with pepper jack cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel and it was the perfect amount of flavor and heat. My daughter got the cinnamon crunch bagel with raspberry cream cheese and if she hadn't been paying attention I would have swiped it, because it looked and tasted fantastic.
