To start my round trip ticket was only $55 dollars which is comparable to other buses that do the DC-NYC route. There was free WiFi, water, access to movies. The driver was very friendly and courteous and ensured that all passengers were respectful of those around them. Lastly, this was the cleanest public bus I've ever been on. The floors were wooden, the seats leather, and the bathroom actually useable without cringing and holding your nose lmao. Despite how amazing the service, and how nice the bus is, people are still gross, so I would recommend bringing wipes and hand sanitizer. A woman had her bare feet all over the arm rest, and another was clipping her toe nails.

Plus from Bethesda, we all had to wait 40 minutes because the bus driver was late, then he almost got into two accidents as he was speeding driving recklessly. You can file a complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) here -- this covers both service failures and safety violations.

The bus number in the app and the bus showing up may NOT be the same! $150 for a family of four who had to scramble to get from NYC to Philadelphia after an Amtrak emergency canceled the trains all day. It's an alternative option compared to flying and it's not the fanciest, but gets the job done. Traveling on a budget you can't have it all so don't expect this to be perfect and relaxing. It was hectic trying to understand if it was the right bus to begin with. Also be prepared to load and unload your own luggage. The things I noticed/encountered: -The seats were a little smaller, but fairly comfy. -There were seat belts available -Depending on the seat, outlets were in the bottom/front of the 2 seats or side of the window seats. -There were large, panoramic tinted windows, which made the ride better. -Large garbage bags were placed throughout the bus, which helped keep the bus cleaner (assuming people used them). -The bathroom was small, but decent and clean...at least at the start of the ride. -There were foot rests, but they weren't very useful. I took the 5:30 pm bus on a Wednesday, so it wasn't as packed as a weekend bus may have been. The driver was friendly, check-in process was seamless...we just gave our names. I didn't have any large luggage, so I didn't have to use that extra compartment on the outside/bottom of the bus, but it was available for self-loading/unloading. There was additional storage available above the seats (similar to an airplane) and below the front seats. Even though there was traffic and heavy rain, we made it to our stop (stop #2 out of 3) in perfect time. There are multiple signs for Go Bus, luckily the bus driver walked over to us and let us know that the bus is actually stopped 2 signs ahead. Would I take this bus again? Yea, absolutely.

First of all, the bathrooms were disgusting and unsanitary, clearly hadn't been cleaned! Then, also, the specific ride we took advertised that it would make a stop to get lunch..but what? The bus driver was some old guy who was clearly senile, he was extremely rude as well, and he should lose his CDL. He didn't stop the bus. You get what you pay for. This was a scam. Don't do it unless you REALLY need to save money, just take a train for a bit more. He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.

When we contacted customer service, we were told the bus had already left at 7:47 PM, which is simply not consistent with what we experienced. Instead of investigating the situation or showing any empathy, customer service insisted the bus had departed and refused to offer a refund or any meaningful resolution. It's extremely frustrating to be told we missed a bus that never appeared while we were waiting at the designated pickup location. Reliable service and responsive customer support are essential for travelers. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this service and hope the company improves both its bus tracking and customer service processes.

The trip took approximately two days and involved four bus transfers. Everything went smoothly until our final transfer, when we encountered a driver whose behavior was rude, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. From the moment she began boarding passengers, she was yelling at people to have their barcodes ready before approaching her. After scanning my QR code, she instructed me to place my luggage in the third compartment for Newark. I immediately explained that I had told the ticket agent I was traveling to New York and had paid $560 for my tickets. She insisted that my ticket showed Newark and that I would need another transfer. Since it was around 1 a.m., I tried contacting customer service but couldn't reach anyone. However, after the driver announced that New York was her final stop, I hung up and tried to get some rest. We had already been traveling for two days, and both my mother and I were exhausted. Unfortunately, the driver's behavior continued. At one point, another passenger politely asked if she could sit next to her husband. Instead of handling the request professionally, the driver made a scene and threatened to kick the woman off the bus. Her lack of patience and compassion was disturbing. Later, the driver woke me up and informed me that we had arrived at our destination. I calmly explained that my mother and I were traveling to New York and that the ticket agent had mistakenly put Newark on our tickets. I showed her that I had paid $560 and pointed out that it made no sense for us to get off in Newark when she had already announced that New York was her final stop. Rather than listening to my explanation or attempting to resolve the misunderstanding, she escalated the situation and called the police. She told them that we were refusing to get off the bus because our tickets said Newark. I explained to the officers that my mother is 70 years old, that we had been traveling for two days, and that the situation resulted from a simple booking mistake made by the ticket agent. The driver showed absolutely no willingness to listen or help us find a reasonable solution. She seemed determined to force us off the bus, regardless of the fact that we were exhausted travelers simply trying to reach our destination. Thankfully, the police officers showed us the kindness and compassion that the driver lacked. They understood our situation, helped us with our luggage, and arranged to take us to the PATH train so we could continue to New York. They even paid for both my mother and me to take the train and made sure we boarded safely, explaining that we should get off at Penn Station after two stops. I was honestly in tears on the train. I could not understand how someone could show so little compassion toward two women, especially when one of them is a 70-year-old mother who had already endured two days of travel. As a Black woman myself, it was particularly heartbreaking to feel that another Black woman was treating us with such hostility rather than showing us understanding and kindness. I genuinely believe that a male driver would have shown more compassion toward us. What made the experience even more disappointing was that the police officers, who had no obligation to go out of their way for us, treated us with far more kindness, dignity, and respect than the driver did. Their actions reminded me of the importance of treating others with humanity, regardless of the circumstances. Overall, this was an unacceptable and deeply upsetting experience. I felt disrespected and humiliated after paying $560 for a trip that should have brought my mother and me safely to our destination. No customer should have to endure this kind of treatment, especially after such a long and exhausting journey. The way my mother and I were treated was unacceptable, and I would not wish this experience on anyone.

She made everything from signing the contracts to helping with the itinerary right through excellent communication with the depot so easy. I'm someone who values true customer service, which in my opinion is basically non-existent in today's world, AnneMarie is a true gem!
