A hidden gem in the hamlet of East Hartland CT, this restaurant oozes with history, a welcoming aura, and wonderful aromas. I hadn't been to this location in over 15 years, and probably two businesses ago. The current owners have been here about six years, I'm told, and judging from the number of cars in the parking lot, are putting out some really good food. I can attest to that. I sat at the bar, where Julianna took my order of a MW Station Burger with crispy fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, and had a definite charbroiled taste. 8 ozs of perfection between a substantial (not flimsy) bun. And loads of Heinz ketchup, because ketchup is a vegetable (and I put ketchup on my ketchup).Fries were nice and crispy. Good beer selection. The vibe was a low murmur, lively but def not deafening. The crowd at the bar was very friendly. One lady to my right seemed to be a regular, and rated her chicken francaise 5-star. She even allowed me to take a picture of it (posted). Another friendly group of three (definitely regulars) seemed to really enjoy their pizza. All of us shared tips on where to go in the area for bbq, Mexican, etc. Julianna provided great service with a smile. Overall, really good food, good value. Very clean. Lots of outdoor seating. Hours are currently 4-9, Wednesday thru Sunday.

First time dining here, beautiful restaurant & amazing wood entryway with patio seating. The atmosphere is cozy & charming. The waitress was very friendly. They were short staffed in the kitchen so she explained we couldn't put in an app or meal order for 30 minutes. We were fine with that, she brought a basket of bread & drinks to get us started. We ordered the Brussels sprout appetizer, Chicken cordon bleu and chicken francaise. The portions were large & the app and meals were great. Very fresh & flavorful. Unfortunately, the dessert was below average a we tried the cheesecake & carrot cake. The carrot cake had something in addition to the carrots, raisins & nuts - possibly pineapple?

You will see mixed reviews and I think that is due to lack of consistently lately. The menu has changed twice since January, so it's understandable that they're just trying to figure out what works with the rising cost of food. With that being said, The Coach Stop is a little hot spot on Friday and Saturday nights...so yes, you will wait a long time for your food and service perhaps. We have loved the food and service and we have not loved the food and service.....but it's the neighborhood spot, so like any relationship, it might not be 100% all the time. We have loved our food more so than not in general and last week we loved it ........and I will say that their wings are better than the Royal Coachman's wings.

I loved the excitement from the guests and the staff. This is a happy place! I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich on an everything bagel, that included homemade sausage, two over easy eggs and cheese, with their homemade hot sauce on the side, to go. I also ordered a regular coffee The place was jammed packed, with a super positive buzz, as I could see very happy customers, and the staff looked like they were pleased to be serving! I received my order rather quickly, in a little bit over 10 minutes. Considering the restaurant was super busy, I could tell the back of the restaurant had their act together, and the total process of this restaurant was really well organized. At eight dollars for this perfectly toasted everything bagel, with homemade sausage with a little kick, two eggs cooked perfectly over easy, along with this cheese that just melted in my mouth, I was sent into heavenly Bliss. The explosion of the different flavors was perfection. The homemade hot sauce was delicious , it was like Tabasco sauce on steroids. Drago's you need to bottle this and sell it! The coffee was fresh, lovingly made on the strong side with half-and-half, and no sugar. This coffee was on point! The treatment to me by the staff was second to none. I just really really appreciate the service and the product. Will I be back? Heck if I could, I would move in! I can see why residents of both Granby and Simsbury are making this not only the local hotspot but a staple in the community Parking is a breeze out front. Keep in mind Dunkin' Donuts sandwiches are six dollars a pop for nothing special; for two dollars more I got this amazing sandwich twice the size, on a lovingly made, toasted to perfection bagel, homemade sausage, and an amazing cheese like I've never had before, and this kick butt hot sauce to top it off! Thanks again Drago's for a wonderful experience. I wish you the best of success here, and good fortunes. You totally earn it, every day, and deserve it

The servers were friendly and quick, and the decor is very rustic and clean. Good sized tables and chairs. It took us maybe no more than 5 minutes to get seated, not a big deal. As for the food, I cannot recommend that chicken and biscuit sandwich more!! The chicken was so tender and crispy, and it paired perfectly with the biscuit, the sauce, and the egg. I will say, it said on the menu it would be an over easy egg but I think it was more medium, but honestly it was SO DELICIOUS it really didn't matter. We also tried a BYO omelet and that was good! I think the broccoli was cooked very well, nothing felt raw in the omelet. I might have liked a smidge more cheese to help it all hold together, but again, not a big deal!! It was a standard omelet, I probably wouldn't get that again but I would 100% get that chicken and biscuit sandwich!! Also their prices are very good!!

EXPERIENCE; What did come as a surprise to me was the popularity of this rural tavern on a fall Friday evening and the quality of food and service experienced. Jason P. had reported excellent fish and chips, noteworthy wings, and selection of local beers at the tavern in his review. I ordered the fish and chips alongside the server's suggested Norbrook Farm-brewed Mount Pisgah IPA. The fish and chips dish ($20) was as Jason had described -- "TOP TIER". I look forward to exploring the menu further (although it will be hard to pull me away from the fish and chips). Kudos to the tavern's Head Chef Austin Ouelette and his crew! AMBIANCE: There are three dining areas -- an outdoor patio, a newly renovated, modern dining room, and the original dining room filled with colonial-inspired furniture. TIP: Parking lot size was insufficient the Friday evening I visited, necessitating parking on the shoulder of State Route 20 . This possibility may be circumvented via a visit on an earlier weekday. The tavern is open to visitors and inn guests Wednesday through Sunday.

Their menu has a lot of different options to please everyone in your party. They've got the typical go-to's (burgers, sandwiches, pizza) but then you get into some house made comforts like chicken pot pie and bacon wrapped meatloaf. The service is great, but since it's a pretty small place the waitresses might be pretty busy so just be patient. With that said, seating is fairly limited on a busy Friday/Saturday night or if they are having a special for dinner, so definitely make reservations! We came for late lunch on Saturday and it was fairly quiet. Needless to say, since it's off the beaten path we sometimes forget this gem is here but when we remember we never regret it!
