The Coach House has been on my list for a long time. We finally made it & I'm a little mad at myself that we waited so long. We had a wonderful experience. We sat at the Chef's Table and it was so much fun to get a front row seat and have the chance to chat with Chef Jacob. The food was fantastic. So many interesting flavors & spices. Most importantly, everything was delicious. Usually you have one course in a tasting menu that falls flat but that was not the case. My husband's favorite was the duck and mine was the scallop. I can't tolerate high heat levels of spice so I appreciated that I could feel some heat but nothing blew my taste buds out. Finally, the service was fantastic. They worked as a team so well - everything was seamless. I felt like I was hanging out with friends at an intimate dinner party rather than at a restaurant. Can't wait to return.

We were bummed Zubair himself wasn't there (got a flight delay) as that's a main reason for attending but this is a delightful tasting experience with a fusion flavors that really work. The only real letdown was food temperature--we were in the middle back section and by the time food arrived to us it felt lukewarm at best. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions with advanced notice. Highlights were the sable, mushroom faraa, and duck which has been a recipe passed down for generations. Servers were kind and even brought out a special dessert when they found out we were celebrating a 40th birthday. It's a small, intimate space and a special night out for sure.

Amazing tasting menu with reasonable prices and intimate ambience. Zubair and team do a great job of describing each dish - especially the rich history behind Duck Numidian. I felt like the quality got better with each course, with the final dishes being some of the best I've ever had on a tasting menu! The seasonal menu's give everyone motivation to go back every few months to see Zubair's new dishes.

Excellent service and food. We had the 6 course meal. My favorite course was the Chilean seabass. It was extremely savory and paired with the best okra I've ever had. Every wine and dish was introduced by our server. Our water glasses were always full. The wine pairing nicely elevated the meal. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and classy without being over the top. The music was more low key and contemporary. We would be happy to return for another pleasant dining experience!

They are REALLY good at making well-crafted and beautifully spiced chai. (This is coming from a self-proclaimed chai aficionado who crafts their own homemade spiced chai on the regular) I've been visiting here since 2023 and have been deeply satisfied with every beverage that I've ordered! The ambience of is relaxing and is great for both catching up with friends and working remotely. There is plenty of seating in both the front and back of the space. I LOVE how expansive their chai options are and how they also offer ayurvedic blends. My go-to is the cardamom pistachio which is DELECTABLE. I love the chewing on the crushed pistachios after sipping the hugged-by-cardamom-chai. What a combination!! My goal, eventually, will be to try every chai on the menu - I just can't seem to stray away from the deeply flavorful cardamom pistachio! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Chiya Chai to all chai lovers looking for an authentic chai experience! You've GOTTA go here!!

We first started getting the calzone takeout, and they were very unique and delicious. Their pizza also is very unique and top-notch crust and toppings. I prefer to eat in here as the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, food is hot, with a beautiful presentation. The bar always seems busy and they make delicious homemade drinks, with a nice selection of beverages, including local offerings. All their appetizers are delicious and creative. Our favorite are the Manchurian potatoes. We love that they use local small farms and seasonal produce, all so fresh. They have a great selection for vegetarians, and a nice range of options for main course and tasty desserts. Their weekend buffet menu is unique and a winner for any occasion! The staff and the owner Yoshi, are all so friendly and welcoming. Yoshi is an amazing cook, and sometimes you'll find him working hard in the kitchen when not running the floor so smoothly. We are fortunate to have such top notch restaurants, without pretense, of this high caliber in Chicago.

If there were Thai chilies involved, they were absolutely in the witness protection program. The coconut chutney was good but competed for attention with the bland pancakes. The pancakes were crying for some kind of vegetable topping, some heft, some flavor, and some heat. The mimosa drink was both too sweet and too pricey, like it was designed for someone who forgot to read the menu before ordering (me). I came in with high expectations based on the reviews; I left wishing I'd microwaved an Amy's Tofu Scramble.

I had the J'adore 75 cocktail which had vodka, Prosecco, lychee and hibiscus served as a martini. I was nervous it would be too sweet but it was perfect. I ordered the sheet roasted cauliflower for an appetizer and had the vindaloo curry with braised lamb and asked they make it spicy. Usually when I've gone to Indian restaurants they don't make it spicy enough but Kama made it spicy! My friend had the paneer tika masala that she said was really good. Each entree came with a side of basmati rice. We also ordered garlic naan for the table that was very tasty. We went to Kama on a Saturday night so it was busy but our food came out quick. Laura surprised us with a birthday dessert for the table that was a kulfi dou ice cream that was flavored pistachio and had a blueberry chutney. I've never had that kind of ice cream before it was very unique. They also brought out lit up candles so we were able to sing Happy Birthday. This was the best Indian restaurant I've been to and I can't wait to go back!
