After reaching out to them, I worked with someone named Han to fix the issue. Although Han offered to fix the situation by sending me a shipping label to exchange the item, I decided to not go that route because I didn't want to get a bag that was in worse condition than the one I currently have. I ended up going to a closer location to me, which was still an hour away, to do the exchange in person. I have asked for a store manager to call me back regarding this problem and after 5 days I did get a call back. It was a short talk and they didn't deny the bag was swamped out but mentioned it could have been done accidentally not intentionally. Since I was on a quick work break I didn't want to prolong the talk and I kept it cordial but I dont 100% believe it and intentional or not, ithe carelessness did cause me an unnecessary inconvenience. I've known the husband much longer so I'd always get him an individual birthday gift and then a family gift for Christmas. I was on my way to Primm to place my college bowl bets so I decided to stop at Barstow to see what shops were there. Coach is popular in Japan so I popped in to take a look. They had a good sale and saw some cute purses that weren't too big so I asked my wife what she thought and she gave her approval. A wonderful lady named Virginia assisted us and said they had other colors in the back and would have someone bring them out. We selected a darker color since it would hide any scuffs or scratches better. They provided a gift box and tissue with the purchase and checkout was a breeze. Although the shop was a bit busy, it wasn't crazy so that was good. The shop is well maintained and merchandise isn't scattered haphazardly but very organized. The outlet has a very large parking lot so finding a spot was easy. It helps to go during the week because I've seen it get very busy during holiday weekends when I drove past to get gas in Barstow in previous years. Mission accomplished so I'm satisfied. read more

I bought my first coach bag late September 2020 and have only used it twice. The sides are changing into a different tone and when I went in for an exchange the representative used a leather cleaner and it did not work. I asked for options and was told I had no options because it was considered wear and tear. After a two use and the color changes on this bag. I do not recommend this color and would ask the sales person about the leather dye quality before making a purchase. I searched this store for a single item I would be caught dead wearing or carrying and found Nothing! All of the purses/bags feel like plastic. Same for wallets. Most of the designs are limited in the colors available and/or are gaudy. Almost every bag has ugly, shiny, cheap looking, gold hardware. Every bag has the company name slapped on it in bright, garish gold. Brand-slapping is tacky so if a company insists on doing it, at least it should be subtle and visually unobtrusive. No class at all. I hated all of the ugly, gaudy shoes. This place obviously is wildly popular with the Asian tourists on tour buses to Vegas, because they were inside excitedly shopping like crazy. Either they don't know Coach is selling them knock-offs of its own product, or they don't care. I'll never go back. The time I spent there was completely wasted. I've been ripped off by Coach Outlet.com/Coach Outlet Barstow! In December '22 I purchased a wallet for my daughter as a gift ($76.72). She didn't like it so I processed a return online. The confirmation said I could go to a store to complete my return. I went to the Coach Outlet Barstow and the employee did something on the computer and then printed me a shipping slip, I was to ship it back myself... (not sure why he couldn't take it?)... In any case, I left the store and shipped back the wallet. The following day I got a SECOND charge in the same amount ($76.72). I called the store and they "couldn't find" the charge and could not fix it.. told me to call the 800#.. I called them.. and they "could not find" the charge... This is called a Ghost Charge! Nobody took responsibility for it, so I disputed it with my bank, they reversed the charge. NOW, I'm still left needing a refund for the returned wallet.. Coach received the wallet and WILL NOT refund me because of of the dispute I processed with my bank! Mind you, the dispute was for a SECOND charge, a charge that Coach said they had no record of and NOW THEY DO? I have literally have spent countless hours and written several emails to Coach customer service and am in the same vicious cycle. I went back to my bank and they cannot help me because too much time has passed by... not my fault! Coach kept telling me they would "process the refund" and to wait up to 15 business days, I went through this process several times. And now it's end of July and still have no resolution. Coach Outlet owes me $76.72!! I must now just make peace with this loss, that I got ripped off! but first I had to at least put this out there in hopes that no one else goes through this! I love this store! On our way home from our last Cali trip, I made my boyfriend stop here so I could get my momma a wallet for mothers day. This store is located in the Tanger Outlet Center in Barstow. So we walked in and we were each given a 50% off coupon. This was valid for EVERYTHING in the store. If that wasn't good enough everything is heavily discounted anyways so I ended up getting 70-80% off on my items!! The employees were super helpful and were walking around with calculators so they could give the correct sale price for anything you wanted. It was so convienent. Everyone was nice and patient. I must have price checked at least 25 purses because I liked so many of them. So let's see we bought 3 purses and a wallet and it was like $400 for everything. That is a STEAL! Most regularly priced coach purses are anywhere from $200++!! All of the employees were so friendly from the sales floor to the cashier. Our cashier was great she spent a good 15/20 minutes wrapping and boxing up the purses we were going to give away as gifts. Of course I got one for myself and I love it! I haven't seen one like it and that makes me a happy camper. Great price and great service makes me a customer for life. read more

Beat the bus load of tourists!! Arrive by 10 am and you'll be just fine. It is a great little outlet that's half way between Orange County and Las Vegas. I typically stop here to stretch my legs, check out what bargains I can find, and use the drive thru Starbucks in the next door lot. If you don't want to deal with the asian crowds, but still want the outlet prices, there's also an outlet at the Citadel in LA or at the California/ Nevada border at the Primm outlet. However, inventory seems to be better in Barstow, as I found a wallet in Las Vegas, but this location had tons more to choose from. read more

I wish the Sales Associate were Courteous to all their customers and not racist. All the women were rude especially this half speaking old Asian lady. She ask me if I had a Receipt for the bag I was caring and was I ready to return after being in the store for 20mins. After advising I did have a receipt she then goes on and on about how important it is for me to have the receipt on me. I remain calm and continue shopping and over look her. The only nice person/employee here was a young guy who treated me like a person. Terrible managers who ignore customers and lie. On Saturday 11/14/2020, in the afternoon, I was standing in line for cashier in the Coach Barstow California store to pay what I was buying. There was only one Cashier. Only two customers in line ---- the customer ahead of me was a disabled woman pushing a baby. The cashier ignored us, was doing her own things, turned her back to us about 10 minutes. Finally, she called the disabled lady who took a very long long time. During this time, the store manager Victor came to the cashier counter, turned on a computer, did his own things, ignored me and walked away. Mayline, a self claiming store manager, came to the cashier counter and kept doing her own things, still ignored me, kept me waiting. This is not fair. This is an insult to customer. I complained, asked compensation or a remedy for what they did, but what I got was just an apology. Victor says the store is short of hands, but he obvious was lying. There were fewer customers than store workers in general during my one hour there. He was lying. They need a lesson! read more

Got a purse for a Christmas gift and brought it in to exchange it and told them it was not for a refund but an exchange. They asked if I had the receipt but I already told them it was a gift. This was just a week later. The manager said I cannot return or exchange it without a receipt. The website says you can if it still has the tags and a store credit will be issued. When I called to let another manager DJ know about the website policy she apologized for the other manager and said she'd be happy to issue a store credit. Zero star compare to the one at desert hills. No greet, no service, no smile, period. I don't know if it is because it was half an hour before they close. But none of the associates offer to help, NONE. this almost never happened during the past 20+ times that I visited any coach stores in different states. And they only had one register open 30 mins before they close, and it took forever to check out. The cashier who rung up my items was rude. (her name starts with "N") She was busy chatting with 2 male customers at the register speaking in spanish and just totally ignore that me and the other customer were waiting to check out. Theres nothing we can do, because that is the Only register open!! She was bad at calculations as well, took her forever to tell me the exact price of a single item, that always have different discounts and promotions everyday,etc. The only good thing is that this location has more styles and colors available compare to desert hills.
