I've been wanting leather ever since I bought my 2014. What made it easier was that both my front seats had been the recipient of some nasty unintentional stains. Got my estimates and checked yelp ratings and decided to go with Coach Auto. They actually came out on Thursday and removed my door panels, front and back seats. Came back on Friday....24 hours later and reinstalled. Great job, went with a two tone and the perforated seat and back area. My seats and interior rocks! I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra TRD and my Son has a 2020 Tundra TRD and my Son took his truck over to John and had the seats done in Black Leather and red stitching with the TRD logo on the head rests and it turned out beautiful that motivated me to take my 2001 Tundra in and they did the leather in leather to match my interior, added the TRD on the head rests also even did the door panels and they did a fantastic job. By far the worst. They got the interior in my truck wrong twice. Took a week and three different leather kits to get it right. The first kit was perforated but the right color. The second kit was not even close to the right color. The third time was the charm. I guess the only guy who knew what he was doing showed up to work today. read more

I was referred to Coach Auto to replace the sunroof in my 2006 Tacoma (there was a manufacturer's recall on the sunroof). I was very pleased with the whole process! I was able to get s description of the process over the phone and set up an appointment to get the replacement done. They were ready for my at my appointment time, and took even less time than anticipated (1 hour, 15 minutes). They have a simple waiting area with several black leather chairs that worked great for me. I was recommend bringing a book or phone or something with you to help pass the time as there isn't a TV or anything, but it is a comfy enough area. I would definitely recommend Coach Auto! CAUTION. BE WARNED. I write this for the sake of potential consumers/clients. An employee worked on my driver's seat and caused $500+ in damage to my airbag system. The owner was unwilling to pay in full for damages. (Public be advised: if someone damages your property, you could have a 1-3 year window to claim damages in court.) Unfortunately, the owner questioned whether I had ever been to his shop (even though his employees remembered me). More unfortunately, he charged me in cash for the original job and I agreed to pay in cash...as a result, when I brought my car back to the shop to get my airbag fixed, the owner claimed to have no record that he worked on my car. Strangely, he also acknowledged that his employee remembered me. In the end, I brought my car back to his shop about 3 months after the job to ask the owner to repair my airbag. (I was out of town for school and unable to bring in the car right away.) This is when I learned that the damage to my airbag was serious. I had hoped it was a computer error. Instead, I learned that an employee at Coach Auto had cut critical wires in my airbag when they worked on my car (which involved removing and reinstalling the seat). In sum, I would not recommend doing business with this owner. His employees are nice and the lumbar in my driver seat works well. But if an employee seriously damages your car in the process, do not count on regular business dealings. The owner seems to think this is an ethical practice. I will leave that to the reader to decide. To the owner (if he reads this): I forgive you. Update: I recently learned that I am entitled to a federal stimulus check, so I guess I will use that to buy a new airbag. read more

Unfortunately the leather installed on my car had gotten deformed and just didn't look good after being installed after about 2 years. The people here at coach auto restyle took my concern very seriously and helped me get not only my leather fixed but they replaced both front seats having the issue. Please be warned that the owner of this establishment is devoid of basic business ethics or customer service skills. He will over charge you and then scream at you at the top of his lungs if you encounter any kind of problem. I had my sunroof repaired by this company. I was charged just under $400 in labor at $80/hr. When I asked why the high amount of time for replacing one broken plastic piece, I was told that the liner needed to be removed and it all takes a lot of time and they know exactly how long it will take. A short time after the installation, I notice my ceiling liner was drooping in the back and that the rear break light cover over the light was hanging off. When I checked on it, I noticed that the break light cover appeared to have just been pushed up and not even re-attached because the screws and washers were still on the cover itself and not screwed into anything. I made an apt and brought it in today to get fixed. As I waited for two hours in the waiting room I over hear the owner angry that he's not making enough money off of an oversized van he's working on and I literally overheard him say that they'd only make money if they charged the people for 2 days labor and did it in one day. Yikes! I was surprised that he would be so loudly admitting to billing ethics violations like this while a customer was feet away. As I wait, one employee tells me that they had my liner looked at and they're waiting for the guy who did the install to get in so they can ask him if it can be fixed or if the whole thing needs to be redone. After waiting some more, the owner comes out and tells me they did nothing wrong because they never touched the liner. He then brings out an old sunroof and shows me some screws and says "see this? We just switched out the tracks. It's quick and easy. We didn't have to touch the liner." I asked him how long it should take if that's all he did and he said 2 hrs. I explained to him that none of this makes sense because first I'm told that it takes a long time to do the work because of the liner and then when something is wrong with the liner, I'm told that it was a quick fix and they didn't need to remove the liner. So if that's the case, why was I charged so much for the labor? Being caught in this obvious catch-22, instead of the owner admitting there is a lie being told at one or the other end or at least being smart enough to try and make the customer happy, the owner flips a switch and completely looses his marbles and starts screaming at me at the top of his lungs, red in the face, with clenched fists. I'm a psychologist and I know an unstable person with serious anger management issues when I see it. Heck, you don't need to be a professional to understand this owner has issues. i calmly try and talk the owner down, gently calling him "sir" and trying to remind him that as the owner of a company, he should not be yelling at a customer in his business the way he was. I calmly told him that I understood that he was disavowing any claim to the mess on my ceiling that has never been there since I bought my Challenger new from Dodge and that was fine, but I would be exercising my right as a consumer to leave a fitting Yelp review. This caused the owner to have throw a temper tantrum that my 3 and 6 year olds would be embarrassed and ashamed by. Seriously! As a psychologist, it's interesting to see a grown man unravel so quickly and thoroughly as this man did right in front of my eyes. He then said to go ahead and try to bad mouth his business. He said he stands by his yelp reviews and that he will challenge my review and sue me if I left him a bad one. I calmly told him that I had seen his reviews. All of them. The good and the bad. That stopped him dead in his tracks and actually got him stop stop yelling for a second. The look on his face was priceless as he's processing how poorly he's handled this situation and how he can't bully or intimidate me out of leaving my review. He asks me on what grounds I have to leave him a bad review. I explain to him that even if I believed that he didn't touch the liner, he still deserves a bad review for over charging me on the estimate and then screaming at me when I ask him about it. He then started screaming that any place will take the extra money if they get the work done faster than they say it will take. I explain to him that any UNETHICAL business would do that but that that he just admitted to a serious break in business ethics by admitting to over charging for time because he thinks "that's what everyone does." The owner screamed at his employees to pull my car out and get me out of here because I'm going to bad mouth him and leave a bad review and he stood by my car and stared me down to try and intimidate me out of leaving him this very well deserved review. We brought our Chrysler van in to have the seat covers changed from cloth to leather. From our very first contact to the completion of the job, the service and quality exceeded our expectations. We live in Temecula and we're going to have the job done locally. We contacted Coach to get a second estimate. Had heated/cool seats leather seats in my car and first time was great John was nice and the whole staff was welcoming, when I came to pick it up I noticed my driver side indoor frame was dented and told them it wasn't there but I let it slide so I left, a couples days later the heated/cool seats motor went out and had to go back and they fixed and then few months later the same thing happen and at this point it was frustrating so I was talking with the owner John at that point he was annoyed with me, when I talked he was giving me attitude and raised his voice at me over the phone and his employees did acknowledge they heard him but not my fault the equipment is going out, so it got to the point where John wasn't talking to me it was the staff which were beyond friendly and supportive, the owner never called back after I got the issue fixed finally, he never called back to apologize or check if the seats are working properly nope, just cares about the money, if the staff owns this place and ran it I would give it 5 stars but since this owner is not professional and jerk by making me drive there multiple times to get it fix so customers beware what you get yourselves into. read more

I bought a Ram 1500 at Glenn Thomas Ram in Long Beach. I ordered a Katzkin leather kit, and stressed I wanted my original "brand new" never sat on them premium cloth upholstery boxed up and returned to me, which they did. I am now getting a new Ram and I would like to keep my "well taken care of" Katzskin upholstery and reinstall the the original upholstery, and guess what? The seats Coach gave me are the wrong ones, used, and full of pet hair. The dealer nor the upholstery shop will not take responsibility. So, please double check what is returned to you because you might not get back your original upholstery. Shame on you "Coach" for ripping me off!!! read more

He sent out one of his workers to replace all three seat rows in my SUV to leather. These guys took out all my seats and changed them into leather within 5-6 hours including door panels. I am extremely glad that I found these guys! The sunroof tracks on my 2008 Trailblazer SS practically imploded on me leaving my sunroof completely inoperable. All the Chevy dealership(s) could offer is to replace the entire sunroof assembly at a cost of over $2G! Coach Auto replaced just the track parts that broke and it cost me a mere fraction of the cost. Furthermore, they did the repair in a matter of a couple hours while I waited!
