To all those shopping for an upholsterer, don't be swayed like I was by the 5 star reviews. Read on if you'd really like to learn the underlying attitude of the person working inside of your vehicle. Let me start by saying that I either have to feel really impressed or really offended before I take to Google and spend time writing a lengthy review like this, so here's my first negative Google review... Until today, I have been a repeat customer for at least 3 years now which translates to thousands of dollars in upholstery projects. Between myself, my relatives or friends whom I've referred to in the past, we have had Reyes Upholstery handle many different jobs ranging from headliners, armrests, seat covers, steering wheels etc. The real moral of this story/review is, I wanted to have a nice working relationship with Andy (the owner) in hopes that he would recognize my loyalty and return it in kind by giving me occasional price breaks here and there when the fact is, he doesn't care if you're happy or not, so long as you pay up. A feeling he proudly revealed to me today after picking up my truck from him. Frankly, I feel like a fool for giving these guys so many chances. It seemed that every time I showed up there, he treated me like a stranger by the way he would essentially "shoot for the stars" when he quoted me prices and it always seemed to get magically more expensive every time I brought him work to do which forced me to "haggle" back down to something reasonable (which I hate having to do). Today's experience was the final straw. Andy made it abundantly clear to me that he didn't care at all if I ever came back or not and according to him, at the prices I pay, he makes almost no profit. Even going as far to say to my face "I mean, its whatever. Its not like you come in here every week." He went on to label me a "dealer" because of the quantity of cars that I bring him and he said that he "kicks dealers to the curb all the time because they demand 'the world' for nothing." I am not a dealer and I have never demanded "the world" just a good job at a fair price, like most people, I would imagine. I'm honestly appalled at the language and choice of words he used when talking to me (see text exchanges in photos). It made me regret ever going to him in the first place and took away any good feelings I might have had in the beginning. He demonstrated that repeat business and loyalty mean virtually nothing to him and if that is how he feels about a paying customer, I would be seriously hesitant to let someone like that near or inside any of my vehicles. The lack of common sense and general ineptitude is astounding. He made sure to tell me that he didn't care about being "friends" or even being "friendly" and for the record, I never sought friendship, but at the very least, a cordial familiarity. It's clear to anyone paying attention that Andy and the rest of the people that work here are completely devoid of any passion or pride in their craftsmanship. The warm and fuzzies that should normally come included with putting life back into the interior of your vehicle won't be found here. They don't care. If perfection is what you seek, don't be fooled. They are a part of the "looks good enough, I guess" crowd. If you've read this far, chances are you think I'm either being unfair in my judgment or that I saved you a trip to this place. Either way, Andy needs to learn that a price must be paid for apathy and indifference towards a customer (repeat or not). I suppose if he doesn't need my business, he doesn't need yours either. What's sad about this is that Andy told me in passing once that this was a family business and that he is a 3rd generation upholsterer. If that's true, I give my condolences to his father and grandfather before him who paved the way for him to have what he's got. A lot of us aren't so fortunate to have something special like that. It's a shame he's chosen to willingly tarnish his family's legacy with such an impetuous and thoughtless attitude by disregarding a loyal customer. What a waste.

Went to Reyes upholstery thinking the back of my wife trucks driver seat wasn't going to be able to be fixed. I was surprised and impressed what Reyes did. Affordable pricing and good quality work performed. Highly recommend this spot.

They were able add new cloth to top interior in 1 day and with amazing quality.

Fast and great work on the top interior lining that came back for the leather chair to be fixed

I want to give a shout out to Jose who did a great job re-upholstering my two front leather seats on my sons 2008 Acura TL. As you can see by the before and after photos the passenger seat was in bad shape. Thanks, Jose for a job well done.

Pleasure working with Reyes Upholstery. They did such a seamless job with my car seats. I went in on a Thursday to get a quote, dropped off my car early Monday morning, and they finished it fairly quickly. They were even kind enough to drop it off because I live fairly close. Highly recommend. Tip: it helps small businesses if you pay cash to avoid high processing fees, so try and do so. Check out the before/ After photos.

Andy at Reyes upholstery took them, fixed them the same day and charged us a very fair price.

However, I followed up a couple weeks later asking if a certain date worked. I even explained that I had been busy and said the only time I'd have to bring in the car would be the following week. I paid $450 for this wrap and an extra $100 for the wrap itself. When the first job was done poorly, I went back to the shop to address the issues and they said they would fix it. I texted on a Tuesday expecting a response, and I waited until Sunday to follow up again. Instead of Lisa taking accountability, she told me I "did not reach out," which is extremely unprofessional and untrue. I had apologized for being busy, and I did reach out; she just did not respond. When I reminded her the job was poorly done and how there had been no response, she took zero accountability and tried to use my words against me. Lisa ignored my response when I explained how the situation should have been handled and how she failed to reply in a professional manner. As the customer, I should not have to teach someone how to treat me correctly or how to run a shop professionally. I wasn't trying to start problems; I stated the truth about the situation, but she did not like that. I went back because I had already paid and just wanted the work corrected. I dropped my car off again on Monday around 11:30am. The shop texted me claiming the wrap "wouldn't adhere," which I knew was an excuse. I told them to proceed because the material was fine, and if they couldn't install it, that was their shop's error. The rest of my car's wrap was perfectly fine. To double-check, I contacted the previous shop, who confirmed this shop was making excuses, saying, "The wrap sticks just fine. It sticks on the rest of your car fine. They're talking nonsense." I knew they no longer wanted to service me, and I no longer wanted their service either. I paid a good amount of money for this treatment. I made sure the job would get done. The shop told me the job would be done by Wednesday late afternoon. This was the second time they confirmed a deadline and failed to meet it. I made it clear from the start that I have a busy schedule and cannot afford delays, yet they did not respect that. Removing and rewrapping a front bumper is a 1-2 day job, it is not like I was asking to wrap half the car. I set a boundary that if it was not ready by 5pm Wednesday, as they confirmed, I would request a refund. My whole car was wrapped, had parts added, brakes caliper color change, and badges blacked out in about a week. I took it to another shop before taking it here. (Dependable Guys in Santa Ana) I am not a professional, but I am not stupid. There were no photo updates either, I had to ask for them. When they finally sent a picture, the wrap looked freshly slapped on two days after I dropped the car off. The day I dropped it off, they said the wrap did not adhere. It looked like my car sat there for two days until I asked for the photo, or it took them two days to remove a month old wrap and throw on one big piece lol.. My car is a small sedan, a CLA, not a supercar or SUV. Her words were: "Ok we will remove all the wrap and give you your money back. Come and pick it up today." She added, "You are demanding the refund so come get it. We cannot accommodate the time frame for you. Thank you we will be gone by 5 so please make it in time so we can process the refund." However, Mark (the installer) had reached out to me and told me him and his co worker would come into work early to finish the job. This was the second time they broke their own deadline, and instead of taking accountability, she tried to flip it back on me. Lisa took everything personally when this situation should have been handled with professionalism. I never asked them to remove my wrap; I just wanted the job done properly. The installer Mark was professional, but Lisa was disrespectful, dismissive, and extremely immature in how she handled the situation. I told them to leave the wrap and keep the money. This was their mistake, which took up the free time I rarely have. Even after I explained my situation, reminded them of prior mistakes, and was patient with the delays, they still couldn't get the job done on time. I didn't want or need the money back; I needed my car back lol. It was clear they didn't take me seriously, and I was forced to escalate this further, which she didn't like either. This was waste of time and caused unnecessary stress. I was frustrated because I had to deal with unprofessional and immature behavior. All I got were excuses, missed deadlines, and poor communication. This business does not stand on its word or its service. Don't bring your car here. Many shops in OC offer far better service and professionalism. I recommend Dependable Guys in Santa Ana! It turns out the wrap sticks just fine and clearly they were making excuses... 3 weeks no issues.
