I've gotten chè from here twice -- to-go and dine-in. I like their chè bắp, Ha Long Sunset, and Hanoi Mist. The corn in the chè bắp is crisp and not too mushy. The Ha Long Sunset reminds me of chè Thai and wasn't too sweet even without any adjustments. The Hanoi Mist was an interesting variation of, what I'm assuming, is chè thập cẩm. The Hanoi Mist was my favorite because it wasn't overly sweet along with having yummy purple yam, which I hadn't seen before. Service was fine. We ordered on the screen and they diligently brought everything out but we put it away ourselves after. The actual space itself was cramped, in my opinion, but doable. The chè flights were so aesthetically pleasing but it felt cramped on our table. The best place for Che and Waffles. I had this place book marked for a while but never got around to trying it until recently. I got the Sunset with less sugar and side ice. I really like that they let you customize the sweetness and ice level as i feel like other che places always puts too much ice. The toppings all have really good texture and feels like higher quality when compared to places like bambu After trying it, I couldn't stop thinking about it the rest of the week and had to come back to get more! The waffle is also surprisingly REALLY good. I was hesitant about the waffle at first as the price point is a little steep but it's just too good to pass up. I think I found my new favorite Vietnamese café and matcha spot in the neighborhood! Their Cloud Matcha at 50% sweetness absolutely hit the spot. It was creamy, refreshing, and had a subtle Vietnamese chè-inspired flavor that I really loved. My husband ordered a kumquat-based drink and finished it within seconds, so that was clearly a hit too. The Pandan Waffle was too mochi-like for my liking, but came with a nice coconut dipping sauce. I decided to get the flight so I could try their three most popular chè: Hạ Long Sunset, Saigon Pearl, and Saigon Mist. My favorites were the Saigon Pearl and Hạ Long Sunset. Both were refreshing and not overly sweet, and I really appreciated that you can adjust the sweetness level to your liking. The other dessert had mung bean which I personally don't like. The overall vibe of the place was very chill and relaxing. I found this place on Yelp and made whoever I was with take me here. I got their Ha Noi Imperial ($11). It's a warm dessert that contained grass jelly, pandan jelly, red pearl, coocnut, purple yam, boba, and white bean. It came with some coconut sauce that you pour on. The che was lighly sweet and not too sweet. I felt like it had way too much grass jelly than anything else. It also lacked flavor. Not worth the 15 minute wait. It was an individual size but probably can be shared with maybe one other. I finished though. Besides warm desserts, they also had cold desserts, vietnamese coffee, matcha, fruit teas, blended, and milk teas. They also had cakes and waffles as well. I would come back and try their cold desserts. The inside is smaller but they have tables and chairs. There were lots of aunties in there hanging out enjoying their desserts. I got the pandan waffle ($7.95) and the NEW Tra Vinh Velvet warm specialty ($10.50). The pandan waffle was SUPER crispy on the outside, so much that I didn't think it would have a good pandan flavor. The inside is filled with actual coconut pieces which was a huge shock to me because the pandan waffles you can get at Vietnamese bakeries aren't filled with anything! The mochi-like texture of the batter was chewy and bouncy while the coconut added a nice slight crunch. The warm coconut sauce on the side was a PERFECT addition to the already not too sweet waffle. REALLY GOOD, but I do wish it had a stronger pandan flavor! The Tra Vinh Velvet is one of their warm specialties that has ube and pandan taro dumplings, ginger syrup, coconut flakes and coconut sauce you get on the side but you're supposed to combine it with everything else. This was reminiscent of taho or dau hu nuoc duong, because of the ginger syrup and coconut sauce together. It was served piping hot and was SO DELICIOUS AND COMFORTING! I wish I could say the same about the ube and pandan taro dumplings. They lacked flavor and were TOO plain. The pretties and the most aesthetic Vietnamese Dessert spot that I have ever been to. The music they played also very good, you can tell the owner has their own style. First of all, they are so creative with their menu, if you have ever travel to Vietnam you might recognize some cities name in their dessert specialties. I got Sapa Delight and Kumquat Royale. Sapa Delight is chè bắp, a well known warm dessert in Vietnam, might looks simple but in order to make it taste good you need to gave certain skills and pay attention to multiple details (my mom tried to make it at home from time to time so i know lol) but Co Ba definitely nailed it, it was one of the best chè bắp i had in a while and they coconut milk sauce was perfect. But I'm even a bigger fan of their Kumquat Royale; so refreshing and tasty with the right amount of ice and sweetness, the coconut jelly is the highlight for me. The photos make this place look far more elevated than it actually is. In person, it feels much more like a small neighborhood coffee shop with nice furniture and one painted "moment" wall, rather than the high-end, luxe café the imagery suggests. It's also located in a pretty unattractive strip mall, which isn't a dealbreaker--but it is jarring if you're expecting something destination-worthy based on Instagram alone. If you brought out-of-town guests here expecting a chic experience, you'd likely be disappointed. That said, the matcha was excellent--easily top five I've had. Truly well done and the main reason I'd return. We also tried the coconut cloud coffee, which was overwhelmingly sweet. It seems like most of the drinks are geared toward that sugary profile. My boyfriend has already declared that if I drag him back, he's ordering a plain black coffee and nothing else. Service, unfortunately, was very poor. The internet wasn't working at all, despite being told it was "fine," and it didn't work on any device--so this is not a place to sit and work. There were very few tables, and one sat dirty for quite some time despite no rush. I eventually cleared it myself so we could sit. I don't mind bussing a table when needed, but it was noticeable given that no one else was coming in and the staff wasn't occupied. Overall, the space feels designed more for photos than for comfort--colorful waffles, a pink wall, and a few Instagrammable touches, but not much intention behind the actual customer experience. The interior decor is so cute and inviting if you're looking for a place to hang out while enjoying your dessert or beverage. My go to is their Ha Noi Mist and honestly it is one of the best che i've ever had. I love the various jellys and beans that come with it that you truly cannot get it anywhere else. A huge bonus is that they open LATE to satisfy late night cravings. I also had the chance to stop on a different occassion for their coffee and my goodness, it was just as good as their desserts.
