One Piece drag show!

really great atmosphere- kind people, great service, great drinks. they also have the best events and BEST drag shows

Love that this is a queer space, especially in this specific neighborhood where there isn't a very robust LGBT presence. I think that's important for representation, etc etc. However... one of the bartenders that I interacted with the one time I was here was verrrrry dismissive and condescending and had a general air of unapproachability. And of my friends, I'm apparently not the only one who thinks so. So that's not great. But the drinks were also pretty expensive for the size. $6-7 for a can of something! Also not great. What I did enjoy was the performance space in the back. I was here to support a friend of mine that is a musical artist. It was a sold out show, but the space still didn't feel crowded. Overall, I give it 4 stars as an entertainment venue, and 2 stars as a bar, averaging out to a very average 3 stars.

I, to be honest, was really (pleasantly) surprised by my experience here. I really thought I'd get ridiculously over-priced drinks with no liquor and terrible music. Now, don't get me wrong, maybe the drinks could have been cheaper, but I know I'm in New York so I know what to expect. The bar itself was really fun. It had a small bar to sit at which I did while I waited for some friends and had some friendly bartenders. They also had a coat check if you need to use that In the back is the smallish dance area and off to the side is an area with more seating and standing options. It's not a huge club, more of a bar with a dance floor but I liked it. The vibe was cool and friendly. If you're in Brooklyn check it out for sure. I'm glad I did.

Started going to C'Mon Everybody for the drag race viewing parties this summer hosted by drag race girls like Scarlet Envy and Jiggly Caliente. Local drag host Essa Noche is always entertaining and puts on a good show. Drinks are delicious! Also nice to see queer people working in queer spaces. Haven't been yet to just hang, but it's in the neighborhood so I would love to come back on a casual night. Seems like they always have events going on which is cool too. Love to support cool lgbtq+ spaces!

Nice space, good drinks/beers. Came here for a friend's 40th birthday party and had a nice time. The bar area was narrow but we were on the other side where there were plenty of seats. My friend had a DJ, who was awesome. The service at the bar was good and I liked the beer. Based on the calendar of events they have on the wall, they do a lot of fun things here. Pretty cool place.

Double Gin & Tonic $14. Gotta love Brooklyn prices.

It is a great bar, sure. Nice friendly service with a chill, loungey vibe... but that's not why I keep coming. It's like the Tardis of music venues. The stage in the back is something else. It ends up feeling bigger because the lighting and the sound are at pro-league levels. Then there's the mini bar. If there was seating back there I'd never leave. But I'm glad there isn't. More space in which to dance! And whomever is booking the talent... you're going to bankrupt me with reasonably priced double gin & tonics and cheap tickets to double billed shows, because it's not like I can go every. single. week. It's insane. I go to see paris_monster and find 2 more bands that I have to follow like the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The music starts and I lose all free will. Ugh. My life is SO hard. There are too many cool things happening in this neighborhood. Y'all gonna make me move back to Brooklyn!

This was a great night!!! I fully enjoyed myself at their Whitney vs Mariah night. Drinks were strong and on point. There was also live entertainment. Overall the vibe was wonderful and I would absolutely be back!

Great music spot! Apparently it's a venue for all types of events. Last night DJ Manchildblack did a Sade tribute. It was awesome. I have no idea how the drinks are. I'm anti-bar cuz I haven't found one that makes a really good drink worth the small fortune they want for it. Lots of locals are here. I love that. Yes the area is gentrified but I'm not trying to fight against the machine in this review. I'm posting this because I love the new decor. It's reminiscent of the dicey places I would go to in my youth but much cleaner. LOL

My favorite spot. If you love good people, a welcoming and safe atmosphere, and of course the best dance parties, well, this is it.

Rude bartenders...all I can say. For a divey bar there's not much appeal in coming back to a place with rude bar staff.

So it really pulls you into this sort of portal where you're fully locked in on games and then you look up and its been 3 hours, love it. Drinks are fine but they are a great price. Got the Waaaluigi which was really tasty and pretty unique! The wonder punch was a classic tropical rum drink and good but was a little watery. Absolutely LOVE the music here, both live and regular music through the speakers once the live shows are done. They also have a backyard outdoor courtyard that is perfect for a quick break to touch grass before going back in and screentimemaxxing again

This place is pretty sweet as you enter and feel the inner child/nerd come out. It's great place to bring the boys out to hang out, a place decent date night with your partner and for anybody in general. The employees were nice to introduce me to their specialty drinks and other items. I ended up getting the Appletini which had a somewhat sweet yet sour taste. Pretty good 7/10. I do recommend playing the weather simulator game since it has a bunch of options to play solo and coop. Then there's the box bird game that pins two players to collect as much points as you can. Pretty simple. I did enjoy this fighting game that doesn't require much knowledge. It has your simple lows and heavys and an auto combo. Pork was a great character to play with. Definitely recommend coming here

I'm shocked it took me this long to make it to Gowanus' most famous vegan bar. And when I finally…read moredid, it was for a special event vegan BBQ in their outdoor space. It was far too hot and humid, and I made the mistake of coming directly in office clothes. But the vibes were excellent, and the faina with mushrooms was incredible. My last experience with faina was having it as the base of pizza a caballo in Buenos Aires, and I had spent many years looking for this delectable chickpea pancake. It was even better than I remembered, here served under charred lion's mane mushroom.

Maybe it's because I had a special pop-up menu instead of the regular one, but this just didn't…read moreland for me. Most of the dishes followed a simple and clean kind of flavor profile, but were hit or miss. All of the dishes were quite small. Celeriac - probably the best dish of the night. The celeriac was cut into strips and seasoned with soy sauce, vinegar, sesame seeds, and a mild but floral Sichuan peppercorn oil. Larb - also nice, with a bright fish sauce stand in and crunchy lettuce alongside spicy and soft mushrooms. This was the most expensive dish on the menu though the portion was still quite small. Rice - definitely just a step up from plain rice due to the scallion oil. But this somehow managed to miss the mark as there were several uncooked grains. Also priced at $9, which seems a bit much for what it was. First frost cozy - kind of unbalanced. It tasted a bit like a jungle bird cocktail to me as the yellow wine and cocchi Americano mixed with some of the fennel cordial gave a tropical fruit kind of effect. However, the taste of the wine totally overwhelmed the sesame washed whiskey. This is what I ordered to start, but felt like I needed another dish, so I added the roasted peppers and tofu. This one was a total flop - the roasted peppers were just that, and the tofu was totally unseasoned in places leading to an almost chalky effect. It was a little better when some chili oil entered the mix, but still was pretty underwhelming. I had a pretty slow experience with service sitting at the bar - it took 20 minutes for someone to even give me a menu, and the rest of the meal moved at a glacial place. The space is pretty, but the DJ's volume turned up quite a bit towards the end of the night and made the place start to feel like a loud cocktail bar. All of this came to $102 after tax and tip, which felt unreasonably expensive for the mixed experience. Maybe I'll go back for the standard menu someday, but I'm not in a rush to try it.
