This happened on the night of the Knicks Championship game. The bouncer that night was Andy. Two of…read moremy friends and I rsvp'd to the watch party where we were rudely turned away at the door. The reason was fake IDs. We are 28, 26, and 24. Also, we were sober and properly dressed; Andy specifically said our IDs were fake. I have a Michigan license that I renewed to get a Real ID this January, my friends have a Wisconsin and Arizona license that were also valid. Andy barely looks at our IDs and says "nope, nope, and nope." We're stunned to say the least and they asked if we wanted a second opinion. We of course said yes and we saw them walk in, not talk to anybody, walk about, and said "they said I'm okay (to turn u guys away)." We also thought it was because of our out of state licenses (which would've still been shitty), but then Andy did this "fun" little show and tell game where they took this persons ID from Colorado and compared it to ours (again our licenses were from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona). Andy could not give us a straight reason on why our IDs were fake because yanno THEY WEREN'T! So we left! If they really thought our IDs were fake then why weren't they taken from us? After that, we went to a bar maybe 300 ft from C'mon Everybody and got in just fine AND got drinks. Same at the bodega down the street because crazy enough; our IDs are all valid and real! I will happily come back to show my ID again to educate the staff at Cmon Everybody on what a valid license looks like from Michigan. I am also seeing other reviews of people getting turned away for "unacceptable IDs" so this is obviously a continuing issue. Do better.

At the door, after my ID was checked and I was let in, I was stopped inside and told that the entrance fee was $10. I showed the woman a couple of listings clearly stating "Free Entry." She showed me a different page saying "Free before 11 PM" and simply said, "They made a mistake. Ten dollars." I asked to speak to the manager. She replied, "I am the manager," although she appeared to be working the door and collecting admission. Once I showed that the event was publicly listed as free, this could have been resolved immediately by simply honoring the advertised admission. Instead, the response was essentially that someone else had made a mistake, but I still had to pay for it. There was no apology or attempt to resolve the situation. If an event is advertised as free on multiple platforms and someone makes the trip based on that information, the reasonable response is to acknowledge the mistake and resolve it -- not make the customer responsible for inaccurate information they had no way of knowing was wrong.

I didn't get their name but it was a white male presenting person with long tawny brown blond hair and a septum piercing. 6/15 around 11:30 pm at the very end of the event I was attending a wonderful event for Tales of a Cocktail x Espolon and at the end of the night I was trying to get my friend to register with Campari academy // the QR codes were all over the bar... I asked "Hi do you guys still have any of the QR codes that were on the bar ? For Campari academy" and this person laughed in my face sneered at me like they were mocking me and said "i don't even know wtf that is" I clarified "oh the Pink QR codes that were all over the bar are they gone ?" Again they repeated " i don't even know what you're even talking about .. so no" The interaction was so rude and really put a bad taste in my mouth I went further and asked "oh yall probably threw them out already" , i asked him "you work for elsewhere right? And not espolon" - he laughed in my face again and said no ... I was trying to be nice and remain positive so I told him "oh you should look into it then! You're a bartender right ? They do lots of free parties and events like this one" His response was so nasty he smiles in my faces and said "yeah I don't wanna do that I don't really care" so I kept my composure because at the end of the day this was an event for all industry professionals, bar owners, bartenders LIQOUR reps, hospitality leaders etc- and this was the demeanor this person had.... I replied "oh you don't care huh? Well the information is there if you want it have a goodnight" and as I was walking away he said "I really don't" This was such an unfortunate and unexpected interaction just a few days short of the NBA playoffs party I attended with NYx Cosmetics at Elsewhere. - I work in hospitality because I genuinely want to be there and I want to give people exciting memorable experiences- not mock them to their face and try to make them feel small...
