I had trouble with using a led lamp in a halogen application which is required in Calif . CME helped me get the right transformer and led lamp to make things work. Very nice people with great knowledge of lighting and electricity. They also were able to recommend an electrician to help who did a great job. I will look to CME for any lighting needs including parts for older lamps. read more

When one has an old lamp that requires a long neck three way light bulb DURING COVID became a nightmare! Seems California no longer carries incandescent bulbs that would fir my lamp. I contacted this company via their email and could NOT be any happier with them. They were prompt in their response and because we are in lockdown to to exposure shopping is impossible. When asked if they could/would ship, I received another prompt reply from Doug, who has SOLVED our problem. And the LED will last FAR longer than our old bulb, so win win for me! But the folks at CME Lighting subjected me to such a stunning display of rudeness and incompetence that they forced my hand. I went in to buy 2 track lighting fixtures to match the broken one I brought in as a sample. No problem, says Tommy. Not in stock, but we'll have them for you in 2 days, and we'll call you. After 3 days I call them. Sorry there's been a delay. We'll have them for you in another 2 days and we'll call you. Again no call. Again I'm told it'll be 2 days. Rinse and repeat 7!!! times. No exaggeration. Finally they're in. I go to pick them up, and they got the order wrong. The fixtures are the wrong kind for my track. Not one word of apology, just excuses. Avoid these jokers at all costs. read more

Recently I went there to buy $760 worth of equipment for recess lighting but had to return 4 LED pot lights and instead get 9 more trims. A guy named Carlos who works there agreed to exchange the items and refund me the difference which was $280 after 6% restocking fee. He was not happy to do this but did it anyways. He told me that he had spend more than an hour (which he didn't) to explain things about recess lighting, and now it was not cool to return the items, I told him that I am not just returning but also replacing, and the items are not used or even opened from there original boxes. I didn't had my credit card with me to get the refund so we agreed that I will come tomorrow. The next day when I went there he increased restocking fee from 6% to 25% and his reason for doing so was that he and his manager believed that I will not be shopping from their store anymore and they should milk the cow as much as they can when it is still available. I asked him that if the refund amount is the same as we agreed on yesterday first he said yes thinking that I have forgotten but when I reminded him that it was 6% not 25% he started telling me his reasons. He also said that he had to send back the 4 LED pot lights back and pay for the UPS, but those were not special orders and when I bought them they were all in stock. At that moment I was felling disgusted by all his lies and the reason to charge me $80 more for the refund. (I still have the same feeling of disgust whenever I remember that). No person with even a little bet of self respect would not tell tons of lies for $80, and just because you think a customer will shop anymore from your store anymore because he has all the supplies that he needs, that does not mean you can steal from him as much as you can. This is his exact words "my manager told me he would never come back again why you did not charge him more" Disgusting is the only word when I remember those words. read more

First let me start by saying this is the 3rd business I went to, after hours of on-line research. The first was staffed by teens or barely post-teens that I'm pretty sure just decided there wasn't enough profit involved to help me out. The 2nd couldn't help, but thanks to them (Batteries Plus Bulbs in Concord) I was referred to CME. Carlos at CME went out of his way to understand my problem which involved fixing a stove hood light manufactured by a now defunct company. He suggested a solution and ordered a part in, then also suggested I bring the old part back in so we could look at it together. Long story short, thanks to Carlos and CME, the light is fixed! So I was on the hunt for 16 HUGE florescent light bulbs for our company sign. No idea where even to start I rummaged the Internet and after several calls and a few unique keyword searches I found CME. Not only where they pleasant, reasonable with a quick turnaround they were local and could deliver. That meant no crazy shipping costs from an online company.
