I took my 1 year old here to do a swimming class that only cost $6 to do. The pool was warm and nice and the class was fun.

I love the Clyde Rec Center! They have lots of fun activities and events that are going on all the time. The employees are super helpful. I there almost every day. And I'm impassed by how quickly they they fix equipment if there's ever an issue. The classes are super fun and they have a wide range of options for all ages. A super convenient place to exercise if you live on the west side of Springville. It can get a little crowded in the prime morning hours or right after the work day ends, but I have never had much problem finding machines. The staff is super nice and helpful and the pool is great for kids! read more

It never ceases to amaze me what governments and their outlets choose to implement. The #ClydeRecCenter in Springville Utah has removed the door handles to enforce a rule for unidirectional entrances and exits while other rules and maintenance issues go unenforced. I congratulate the fact that they enforce a rule. I have used the rec center at the busiest times of the day and there was no traffic jam. I guarantee that they have just invited one or more such problems by this decision. Just wait for the next swim meet. The issues that I feel that merit a higher priority are: 1- enforcement of general rules regarding the basketball court, weight area and track. 2- maintenance of the locker areas, upstairs and ground level. 3- listen (I mean really consider ideas) to members of the subscription Those of you who know me, understand that I don't speak up unless I have a resolution to match and I don't raise frivolous points. This is dumb. I know it. This annoys me just enough to cause me to write this. I'll return to more important things like listening to my beard grow. Have a great day!! read more

The low reviews here are cracking me up. For $465 a year, you can get a membership for 2 adults and up to 4 kids...potentially costing between $13 a month per person for a family of 3, or $6.50 per person for a family of 6. Expecting world class service, day care, the venue to always be available to you, and more is a bit unrealistic. My niece had a birthday party here, so my wife and I made the long drive down ready to swim. They had one of the party rooms reserved, which seemed a little on the small side, but did the job. A day pass here is $5 and gives you access to everything. They had a decent sized gym with a bunch of treadmills, ellipticals, and other machines, weights, a biking room, basketball courts and hoops, and two pools (one more kid focused with slides, the other with lanes and diving boards). I really like that they separate the pools. If you want to swim laps you can do it in peace. The locker room was nice. They have a big communal one as you first enter, with large lockers you can share with your family. Then they also have separate women/men locker rooms with showers further down (also with lots of lockers). Having a locker my wife and I could both access at any time was nice. We spent our time in the family swimming area. The slides were both pretty great for indoor slides at a rec center. If you go down the steep yellow one you can skip across the water and send a big wave to the people in the hot tub. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make it all the way to the hot tub wall, but I couldn't quite get it. Some other guy did though. I had to settle for sending huge waves at them. The water was also really nice, definitely not heavily chlorinated like some pools. I was able to open my eyes in the water without the stinging of chlorine I get at most pools. This is a great rec center and a good place to work out or swim. If I were a resident I would pick up a family pass in a heartbeat. read more

I love the crc i am there 4 times a week and enjoy doing the slides when im there it is fun to see the little kids get so excited when i make a splash for them some of them even rank me on a scale of 1 to 10 the life guards that run it like jacob megan faith derik and of course kylie make it very fun and enjoyable i know i am missing a few names but they all do a great job it is not easy to be in that cold water at the bottom of the slide not being to move around but they all ways keep a great attitude and kylie is fairly new to the crc and has fit right in to the c.r.c family she has gone above and beyond on her energetic behavior making people laugh and smile as she sends them down the slide great job crc lifeguards keep up the great work read more

This has been a great place to come work out, until recently. The upstairs air conditioning has been broken for two weeks. It's been 84 degrees every time I've been there over the last two weeks, and I haven't been able to go in and use the facilities for a week straight now because of it. The entire reason that I go there is that they have an indoor walking track. That is the only reason I bought a membership and the only reason I go there. I haven't been able to use it for two weeks, and the staff is completely unhelpful. I spoke to the staff at least three different times and each time I got varying information about what the problem was. Finally, after this last week of not being able to use the faciltity, I tried to get a hold of the manager, Penn. After several attempts to connect with this person and several staff members telling me varying stories, we were able to get in touch. He confirmed that the AC is broken and they're working on it. When asked if there was any form of compensation he dodged the question, told me he could give me a couple of "day passes" (How is that going to solve anything!?!!?!) or just cancel my membership. He wasn't willing to fix the problem or make the customers happy. His solution? "Just come earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon, it's not an unreasonable temperature, and there are other amenities you can use. I feel your pain, I have to field all the calls and complaints about this." Absolutely terrible, and I feel awful because this was a great place and I enjoyed everything about this place. Until now. Either fix your broken equipment in a shorter time span than two weeks or satisfy your customers when they are needing help. read more

Clyde recreation center is poorly designed and poorly managed. They have weight lifting machines and equipment crammed in th middle of the jogging track, so anybody walking or running down th track has to dodge the people constantly stepping around using the machinery. Their water slides are too close to the hot tub. So everytime somebody comes down the slide a big wave splashes onto anybody trying to relax in the hot tub. As for management, they often have the lap pool closed due to a staff shortage, and drove clear down there from a neighboring town only to be told the rec center was closed because it was rented out to a local business. They did not post any notices on their website though they tried to tell me they did. Also their hot tub is often closed due to water quality problems. I won't be renewing my membership. read more

We just moved here and our family loves this place!! Swimming is awesome, indoor slides, indoor lazy river, indoor kiddy play area, indoor hot tub, separate indoor pool for swimming laps, pool obstacle course on certain days and outdoor water play area. The gym has lots of equipment to choose for you to work out on your own, or classes with instructors like cycling, zumba, yoga and so much more. Locker rooms, basketball court, indoor walking track and child care for an extra fee when you need. They have a free app to use to reserve spots and keep track of attendance. Cost is very affordable for what you get! And my favorite is the scale you can use that has an app to track your weight, BMI and so much more. read more

This gym (clyde recreation in springville) in not good for moms with little kids that want to work out. The child watch won't allow children under 18 months old. Although they have a track that strollers can go on, the only thing you can do is stay in the walking lane. My wife has been really annoyed. After a year of walking around the track she is done. She either has to get a babysitter or go late at night when i'm home. We've complained a few times but they don't seem to care about moms with small children that are trying to improve their fitness and stay healthy. It's obvious they aren't concerned or willing to work with that demographic. Also the equipment is limited. There are only a couple squat racks and even at 530 in the morning i'm unable to use them because people are on them for a good hour. I am going on my 3rd year attending this center. There are so many fun classes. The facility is clean and the employees/instructors are very kind. I have a positive experience every time I attend. An all around great place. I am fortunate to have this available within a 10 minute drive. Though I pay a non-resident annual membership fee, it's worth every dollar to have SO much to offer and for cleanliness. The several shower rooms are a plus, too. read more

Just moved to the area coming from a fabulous gym that I payed way less. 3yr olds need membership, not sure why because you'll still be paying for any lessons offered+ daycare. equipment and space are limited. No one cleans the equipment other then members after use so they are dusty. From my experience it is way over priced for what you get. I will not be keeping my membership. read more

I went to the rec center go swimming with my daughter and I was told that it was closed for a private event. Why am I paying taxes for the rec center, plus a monthly fee? The private business can rent the one of the party rooms, not the entire facility. The rec center is a public facility that was paid for with public funds and donations. The private business can rent seven peaks which is a private business. I am extremely upset about this and I am going to pursue this further until this rental policy is changed. The directors of the rec center should be ashamed of themselves. Plus you made a little girl really sad. read more

Very disappointed every time we have gone. We have 6 kids, so there are 8 of us. Lifeguards are so inconsistent with measurements for the slides. We have 5 of our 6 that are over 48 inches and with their 3 different forms of measuring and each guard using a different form only 2 of the 5 can go down with slides consistently without being harassed. It's never an enjoyable experience. Chlorine is never a good consistency and all we can smell after leaving is a bleachy smell, all of our eyes burn.There is no lifeguard watching the hot tub so it's always over crowded. We had passes but have chosen to not renew because it's always heart break for one of the kids. read more
