Though it doesn't remind me of the same cluck u from back in the day, the Food was still good. I would definitely come here again. Next time I'll eat my honey bees on the way home instead of waiting. They were ok but would have been better piping hot from the grease!

Hey do y'all remember the chicken spot called Cluck U? I do, there use to be one Uptown on Georgia avenue. Well, this brand never went anywhere...they just changed their name, & made everything halal!! Let's GO!! . Where I am: @clucksters_lanham . Location Reviewed: 9426 Lanham Severn Rd, Lanham M.D. . Items Reviewed: The food I reviewed was all Halal! DELICIOUS!! Their Boneless Wings ($6.99 5 boneless lathered in their Atomic sauce). Not super hot or spicy, more saucy. Could've been fried harder for me. STAMP!! Their Bone In Wings ($7.99 5 wings with their Atomic sauce). Not super hot or spicy, but well fried, & meaty!! LIKE THAT!! Their Tenders ($4.99 Three chicken tenders). Well seasoned, crisp, & tasty with their special sauce!! LIKE THAT!! Their Ranchero Wrap ($8.99 with chicken strips, lettuce, tomato, & their signature sauce). Lite, crispy, & fulfilling!! STAMP!! Their Fried Mushrooms ($6.99 a small with their signature sauces). A tasty batter, no dip needed!! DELICIOUS!! Their Pulled Chicken Sandwich ($8.29 with bbq sauce, & slaw I added a drink & fries for $4.29 extra). Good, thick, I would've preferred it w/o the slaw. DELICIOUS!! Their Fish & Chips ($8.59 fried whiting with fries). Good, that's it. LIKE THAT!! Their Rodeo Burger ($7.99 with pickles, onion rings, tomato, American cheese , bbq sauce, & lettuce). Smoky, with a nice grade of beef!! STAMP!! Their Churro ($2 with caramel sauce). Warm, sweet, & tasty!! . Parking: Decent. Recommendations: Get what I STAMPED...try the burger. Accessibility: Wheelchair & differently abled persons come on in!! The Inside: Clean, with seating. 5 Stars=STAMP 4 1/2 Stars=LIKE THAT 4 Stars=DELICIOUS 3 Stars=DECENT 2 Stars=PASS 1 Star=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

From the moment we sat down, our server Chad took great care of us. He was attentive without hovering, kept our drinks refilled, answered all of our questions, and even helped us find the perfect sauce pairing for one of our appetizers. When you're out catching up with friends, having a server who helps the meal flow smoothly makes such a difference, and Chad absolutely did that. I started off with the Fleur de Lis. And it was perfect! For Apps, we started with the fried green tomatoes topped with crab and balsamic glaze, the calamari, and the crab dip. All appetizers were delicious and disappeared quickly from the table. For our entrees, our group ordered a variety of dishes including the salmon, steak salad, seafood pasta and a trout dish. Everything that came out looked beautiful and was enjoyed by the person who ordered it. We spent just as much time admiring everyone's plates as we did eating them! Of course, I couldn't leave without dessert to take home!! The caramel macchiato cheesecake sounded delicious and turned out to be a perfect ending to the day while watching a movie!! What we enjoyed most was the overall experience. Good food, great conversation, lots of laughter, and excellent service from Chad. It was one of those afternoons where none of us were in a hurry to leave because we were enjoying ourselves so much. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, Chad, for helping make our Queens' lunch such a memorable one!

I'm sure when it's peak time it's live in there so I'll have to come back for an event. Went around noon on a Sunday and it was fairly empty so we sat at the bar and were serviced immediately. Strawberry lemon drop - 10/10 - I love a good lemon drop but a I'll never pass up a flavored one. No notes. Shrimp & Grits - 5/10 - don't get me wrong it was GOOD but it was too rich/cheesy to me. I don't know what I was expecting in terms of cheese but I've never had soooooo much cheese in an order of shrimp and grits. I legit pulled a mound of cheese off the top and it was still too much. I couldn't finish this unfortunately, even taking them home for another day didn't work because I couldn't take the richness. Not a slight to them, just a no for me. There was a great amount of shrimp in the dish and the consistency of the grifts were amazing. Just need something to cut through the richness. My friend had: Omelette - 10/10 - said they enjoyed it and would get it again Side of bacon - 10/10 - you got 6 pieces with the order and that was solid to me. I'd definitely come back and try something else on their brunch menu if given the chance. It's a bit out the way so I couldn't see myself traveling for it but if I was in the area I definitely would come back.

The skin is crispy and the wings are properly seasoned and cooked. We also got the burger. It was good, but slightly over cooked from the "medium" I requested. The pizza was very good and cheesey. It almost tasted homemade (in a good way). I'd get it again. Ambiance: It's a local bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. We had a 10 minute wait which wasn't bad. I ordered the Texas size combo with Chicken critters and Sirloin with a side of mashed potatoes. The plating was a bit off putting because the juice from the steak got on chicken tenders and I didn't like that. I asked for onions and mushrooms on the steak but it was drowning the steak. Most of it got pushed to the side because it was too much. Honestly, the only part of my entree that I enjoyed was the chicken critters. Not a huge issue, just a bit fast-paced right out the gate. I ordered the 8 oz New York strip with a sweet potato and green beans. The steak was cooked perfectly i asked for medium and it was flavorful. The sweet potato was good, but there was a bit too much brown sugar for my taste. The green beans were fresh with a nice hint of bacon, which I really enjoyed. My friend got the smothered chicken with just gravy and cheese (no peppers, onions, or mushrooms) and a side of loaded mashed potatoes, which she really liked--they were fully loaded and satisfying. She also got a side of corn, which she didn't enjoy as much because it tasted a little frozen. Her blue crushed drink was also very sweet--heavy on the syrup and not diluted enough with water. That said, the overall experience was still great. We love the atmosphere, the music, and the energy of the place. Other than feeling a bit rushed at the beginning, everything else hit the mark. I appreciate the packaging and presentation of their burgers which is always professional consistent. The Bacon Double (beef bacon) is excellent accompanied by the Akh Sauce. The Cajun Fries are delicious, however, the cook is too inconsistent. At times, the fries are over fried. Crinkle cut fries are unforgiving, so even a few extra seconds in the fryer and you're dealing with more crunch than crisp. For the price and that reason, I simply stay away from the fries. The flavor is excellent, but the execution is too much of a risk. The milkshakes are also delicious, however, these aren't your conventional ice cream shakes. They are more on the creamy and airy side. I've tried a few and although delicious, the ingredient ratios seem off and the creamy texture and whipped cream leans too close to a frothy mix. The mocktail mojitos are delicious and refreshing. The customer service is OK. RECOMMENDATION: Order ahead at least 20 minutes in advance and especially on Fridays and Saturdays when they are busier. There were times when they were understaffed and ordering in-person was over a 40 minutes wait.
