Absolutely horrible experience and i want my money back. To start off, i got all the way home and realized she gave me the wrong order. Which is crazy because i was the only one in there so how could that get mixed up? I went back to get my actual order which I regret because it wasnt even worth all that hassle. All the order taker said was "my bad", after giving me the right food. The wings were DRENCHED in oil that tasted like it has never been changed. The bag had about a1/4 cup of oil at the bottom from it leaking out of the foil platter it was in. The fried chicken was dry and had ZERO flavor. Fries were 3 out of 10. Never ever going back. Ever. I ordered the sweet chili wings with a side of honey bees and BABY it was de-li-cous. Sweet chili Wings were saucy but still well done and cooked to a crisp. Flavorful and fresh. I have been coming to this restaurant for years. Often things are missed on an order but they generally are good about fixing any issue. I ordered 10 wings and when I got home I realized it 6 in the container. They gave me a hard time about it. I first call to explain but couldn't get through so from there I went to the restaurant. I explained what happened. The owner basically said he didn't believe my account but was gonna give me the four wings but in the future bring the container back for proof. He was acting as if he was doing me a favor by giving me the wings I paid for. Basically accused me of trying to scam him out of 4 wings. I am highly insulted. Good food terrible service. read more

Boy, was I wrong!!! Expectation: I ordered 10 wings/fries and a drink thinking I'd push the food around a bit... and end up taking it all home to the dog just so I could get through this meeting. Reality: I ended up licking my fingers embarrassingly throughout the meeting on some deliciously BIG 'n JUICY well seasoned wings with Caribbean sauce and MEATY Old Bay fries!!! Wowsers!!! Despite having shrimp on the menu, when asking to substitute shrimp for chicken it seems like pulling teeth. Understandable it's a chicken spot that sells shrimp, but why offer jumbo shrimp with sauce instead of making Buffalo shrimp? Contaminants. However, why is the establishment selling shrimp if they're unprepared to make buffalo shrimp due to the lack of separate buckets? My first visit here was a few days ago with a new friend. He wanted some wings and was willing to go on my recommendation. I had heard they had a 911 sauce which some locations asked you to sign a waiver. Just my style. Walking in, their menu is strategically duplicated in four areas. Basically, even if there was a crowd, you'd be able to figure out what you wanted. The friendly woman at the register brought us a sample of the 911. It had a zing but was nothing. My friend tried a dozen less heat wings while I went for six 911. We also had to go for some fried pickles. Now, I don't know what it is about Maryland and fried pickles but I've yet to find anyone who does them well! This weren't sliced thin enough so you get more pickle with some good crust. One warning with hot sauces: they are always worse when heated. Thus, the 911 on the cooked wings was like biting into Satan's toe. Honestly, I've never had a hotter sauce. That may have been close to Flashbang at PepperPalace. Pacing myself and with the help of lots of iced tea and blu cheese dip...I managed to finish them. The reviews and the ratings are exactly what is expected! Did an order online for pickup. The cost was $58.96 we had a group. The ONLY thing we didn't like was their cinna bees. Maybe it was the biscuit. They were ok but we came for the food! The presentation for to go was perfect! The containers are recycled and sometimes that leads to soggy containers. They lined them (food folks!) with parchment paper brilliant guys! Parking wasn't an issue it is located in a strip mall with other businesses, 7-Eleven and a Sherwin Williams paint store. We were greeted and gave my name got our food and left. Wait for the cashier/counter was like 5 minutes there were two other people ahead of us. The name on the front is Cluckters instead of Cluck U. I compared the address and it was the right spot, however no big deal. The online ordering was seamless and easy to use and would do that for the next visit (yes there will be another visit!!). The order was buffalo nuggets, shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fish and chips, cinna bees, bone in and bone out wings one with BBQ chipotle sauce and the other garlic parmesan and fried pickles! The food was packaged very well for travel. The staff was friendly and two were staffed at the counter. The inside was clean and TV's were playing shows Practical Jokers and a sporting game not sure which sport? The volume was not way loud either. There were two tables dining in and just overall a good vibe! Food was done right frying can go wrong and this was not the case. ---3.5 Stars--- I've done some serious damage to my stomach over the years. Since i wasn't much of a drinker in college, I figured what my classmates were doing to their livers, I should do in kind to my stomach. Tabasco sauce shots, chewing on whole peppercorns, putting 1/4 - 1/2 a bottle of cock sauce into my pho, Cluck U's 911, chewing on shards of metal were all things I did, well, except for the last one. And this was perfectly ok b/c I love spicy food. Random musing: you know, spicy food is kind of like the level of naughtiness in the bedroom. Some people just like it mild, which is perfectly ok. Others like to spice it up a bit. Some like to spice it up a lot. Others like to use whips. For me, I like things spicy but I don't like pain. It's just a personal preference. And much like what you do in your bedroom is no one's business but your own, the level of spice you can handle is perfectly acceptable. I wonder if there's any correlation? Hmmmm... Anywho, thankfully, Cluck U can accommodate all levels of naughtiness...errrr, spiciness. The sauces go from mild, which is mostly utilitarian, to the 911, which is like full blown S&M. Food - The wings here are breaded a la Hooters and unlike the Cluck U in CP, the wings were drenched in sauce when I ordered. The wings were very meaty and breaded perfectly. The prices for the wings are as follows: # of wings Price Unit Price (rounded) 5 $4.19 $0.84 10 $7.99 $0.80 20 $15.69 $0.78 30 $22.99 $0.77 50 $36.99 $0.74 You get 1 bleu cheese or ranch for every 10 wings (i.e., a major *whomp whomp* when you order 5). I usually stick with the BBQ sauces and Thermo BBQ used to be my favorite, but I must be becoming more Puritan in my love for spicy as that thing was kicking my butt. After 6 of them, I was sweating profusely and inhaling massive amounts of air to soothe my tongue with a gentle breeze. At this point, I think I would lose all feeling in my tongue if I tried the 911. It seems Nuclear or Atomic are a happy medium. The sandwiches ($4.99) are pretty good, as are the boneless buffalo wings. The fries have that crispy, starchy coating a la Burger King and aren't very good on their own, but excellent when dipped in the wing sauce. A few gripes. First, we had a massive take-out order, and we didn't get any celery. Second, there were no fried mushrooms on the menu, which is one of my favorite things to order at Cluck U. Still the wings here are very good and definitely worthy of 4 stars, but 0.5 stars off for lack of celery and the location. Location - the interior is much more spacious than the Cluck U in CP or Laurel. The shopping center it's located in, however, sucks. No traffic lights at any of the exits, so if you need to head East on Lanham Severn Rd, good luck on making the left turn. Parking is also pretty bad in this shopping center. Service - Our order was ready on time and the service was friendly enough. Excellent wings in Lanham/Seabrook. If you're in Greenbelt, I would recommend this place over the one in CP. read more

I had a pleasant experience when placing my order. It's my first time visiting. Jay was helpful and let me try the signature sauce while waiting for my food. He gave me the dessert donuts while waiting because I checked in the offer. I told him I try it next time because I didn't use the offer yet and they were closing. He asked if I can wait few minutes. I said sure they cooked the donuts and gave me the honey flavor I've asked for. It was delicious. Overall, my food was great. My husband and I came to Cluck U Chicken (located at the Seabrook Station plaza) for dinner. I've heard of Cluck U before on TV shows and as a chain that originated from New Brunswick, NJ. It was created by a college student that believed that his college campus needed more than pizza and burgers. Their menu consists of appetizers (fresh breaded mushrooms, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, etc.), chicken sandwiches, burgers, wraps, buffalo wings, boneless chicken, fried shrimp, etc. We ordered the breaded button mushrooms, the onion rings, fried pickles (recently added), 9 wings, and 5 fried shrimp. The wings are offered to be dressed in a variety of sauces: 911 (must sign a waiver), Thermo Nuclear BBQ, Cluckster's Hot, Atomic BBQ, Cajun BBQ, Caribbean Jerk, Traditional, Mild BBQ, Honey Hickory, Teriyaki, Mustard BBQ, Honey Mustard, and Old Bay. The cashier, Julia, was very sweet and very patient with us when we were deciding on what to order and also gave us recommendations. The male employee also stated that we could do one sauce of each individual wing if we wanted, as they are quite laid back and generous like that! I thought that was pretty cool! We settled for 3 Atomic BBQ, 3 Honey Hickory, and 3 Traditional. The wings themselves were large, but I wasn't a fan of their sauces. The traditional buffalo sauce seemed to be the most tolerable, as the Atomic BBQ was more vinegar-y, and the Honey Hickory being extremely sweet. I did enjoy the fried pickles and the mushrooms (slightly watery); the onion rings were okay as well. Service was friendly, the place was bright and cheery, and I really liked their Cluck U graphic posters. There seemed to be a lot of locals coming in for take-out orders. I hadn't stepped foot in a Cluck U in forever. I'm PG-raised, so these places were staples of my diet, from College Park to Laurel. This one opened up in my family's neighborhood, but I moved away shortly afterwards. Living all the way in HoCo (where we can't even get a decent imitation), I've missed them. I walked into here not knowing what to expect. My old stomping grounds have changed greatly, and many of my favorites have gone under from poor management, staff, or just the area. Luckily, that's not what's happened here! I placed my order and the staff were friendly and polite. I even chatted up the manager (owner?) for a while, as we waited. Everything smelled so good and I couldn't wait to get my food. When it came out, it was piping hot and just the way I asked it. I don't think half of it made it home. I did manage to save part of it for my wife (she'd kill me if I didn't bring her any Clucker Bees), but it was just too good. I ordered the original sandwich with mozzarella cheese and honestly it's really good. I'm disappointed on the Mac & cheese though. It's really plain. It's not bad but it's also not good. The mozzarella sticks are ok but the sauce that comes with the mozzarella sticks smells like alcohol for some reason?? I'm really confused but it doesn't taste good either.
