First of all our server, Miss Lynn was amazing. However, the front of the house there was a young lady. I guess she's a hostess. She was rude and disrespectful. She always had attitude, so I'm gonna need her and them to retrain her however, there was a young man at the front of the house that helped me and my family because it was my birthday. He was great. We did not have reservations but he accommodated us so we waited 45 minutes for a table. The young man that sat us at the front of the house also gave us two orders of bread, fresh hot ready to go. We sat down at the table. He bought us our plates and it was wonderful and we ate bread. Then we met Miss Lynn, which was our waitress. She was amazing. She was like do you guys already know you need a few minutes to look over the menu at the time one of someone from my party needed to use the restroom so it was fine. Me and my best friend knew what we wanted to order so Miss Lynn took our orders for water. Then my best friend ordered a drink which was perfection and then I myself the birthday girl and another person in my party ordered a mocktail. They were delicious. We ordered our food along with our mocktail. We didn't want any appetizers. I had wonderful wonderful food everyone in my party did not complain once someone in my party had a wonderful massive 8 ounce ribeye cooked to perfection. The steak skewers were amazing. My best friend had those I had the grilled shrimp with sweet potato and corn and my goodness great great great kudos to the chefs. The ambience was a little loud, but it's kind of typical for that setting, however my party told Miss Lynn right before we left that it was my birthday, so Miss Lynn went and got Mr. Jose and they saying happy birthday to me and it was really loud and really really fun and then the table behind us had a birthday as well. It was amazing. I wouldn't trade it for the world so thank you Texas roadhouse thank you thank you thank you Miss Lynn thank you to Mr. Jose as well. He is a waiter for another table. I have been to Texas Roadhouse plenty of times but the most recent visit was after attending a performance at BCPA. It was a Tuesday around 8:30 pm and it was packed. We had a 10 minute wait which wasn't bad. I ordered the Texas size combo with Chicken critters and Sirloin with a side of mashed potatoes. The plating was a bit off putting because the juice from the steak got on chicken tenders and I didn't like that. I asked for onions and mushrooms on the steak but it was drowning the steak. Most of it got pushed to the side because it was too much. Honestly, the only part of my entree that I enjoyed was the chicken critters. That doesn't include the bread and butter because that is always the star of the show here. The customer service was pretty good and fast. I do wish she would have let me know that certain things like the onions were an up charge. I haven't been here in a while and maybe it was for a good reason. I remember the food tasting better but that wasn't the case this time around. I will likely go back at some point but it won't be anytime soon. read more

We went to Texas Roadhouse, and overall we had a really good experience. The ambience was great, lively, fun, good music, and exactly the kind of energy you expect when you come here. The service itself was good, and even though we were quoted a 20-minute wait, it ended up being closer to 10 minutes, which was a nice surprise. Once we were seated, though, things felt a little rushed. Our server seemed ready to take our order almost immediately, before we'd even had two minutes to sit down and look at the menu. Not a huge issue, just a bit fast-paced right out the gate. I ordered the 8 oz New York strip with a sweet potato and green beans. The steak was cooked perfectly i asked for medium and it was flavorful. The sweet potato was good, but there was a bit too much brown sugar for my taste. The green beans were fresh with a nice hint of bacon, which I really enjoyed. My friend got the smothered chicken with just gravy and cheese (no peppers, onions, or mushrooms) and a side of loaded mashed potatoes, which she really liked--they were fully loaded and satisfying. She also got a side of corn, which she didn't enjoy as much because it tasted a little frozen. Her blue crushed drink was also very sweet--heavy on the syrup and not diluted enough with water. That said, the overall experience was still great. We love the atmosphere, the music, and the energy of the place. Other than feeling a bit rushed at the beginning, everything else hit the mark. I should've read the reviews here prior to coming on my parents' anniversary. We've never been to Texas Roadhouse but heard such amazing things. Unfortunately, this location was not it. Our server, Damien, did not come by the table after being seated for 15mins. Sure, it gets busy, but at least let us know - he did not come by our table once after. Instead, Shelby was the one that saw we weren't being helped and came by to take our orders and get us water and plates. The food did not arrive for another hour later - no exaggeration. We got seated at 6:46 and food was served at 7:54. While we received an apology - there was an issue with one of the burners - I felt like there was such a lack of communication or remittance for the inconvenience. The saving grace was the food, as our steaks were cooked right and delicious. Such a disappointment and we probably will not return. We might try a different location though. read more

THis was not my best experience. We typically love this location as the managers and servers are both relatable, personable and top tier aim to please. This visit was not the same. My daughter and I were dining to recognize my deceased fathers birthday. I ordered and. chose a 17 ounce ribeye from the display and my daughter ordered the grilled chicken kids meal. My steak which I ordered medium came out with no warm pink center. I said this to the lady that brought out the steak along with one of the managers as I cut the steak and she proceeded to select a piece close to the marbling and say a medium well is no pink. Was wanting some steak and remembered roadhouse in Pennsylvania was pretty good so decided to try it out. First of all everyone was very nice and welcoming. Greeted with a smile and took care of us every step of the way. Our waitress Gabby took care of us and suggested the best drinks and we definitely enjoyed everything. I do wanna say this is one of the few times I actually ate all my food. Usually I don't but if I do that means the restaurant did a great job in flavor. My husband and I don't eat out much. Two times, separated by three years time, we dined at the Bowie Texas Roadhouse. My family in Tennessee love this franchise and I buy them gift cards for it every year. Their local restaurants in four different Tennessee cities, must be really good because they appreciate good food. All I can say is my experiences over two visits leaves me saying I'll never go again to the one in Bowie. Both times I particularily instructed the kitchen to make sure my salmon was not overcooked. Both times it was. The vegetables were cooked to mush. The last server was excellent and we loved him, but the previous server left much to be desired. Both times we signed in to the wait list and were told 10 minutes. Try over 30 minutes both times. I'm saving my money and going elsewhere. read more

For Mother's Day, I decided to take my mom to Texas Roadhouse, a spot we had yet to try. I know what you're thinking--going out on Mother's Day is always a gamble, and yes, the two-hour wait to be seated was insane. But let me tell you, the rolls with cinnamon butter made the wait worth it. I think I asked for more rolls at least four times because they were just that good! Once we finally got seated, our food arrived within 15 minutes, which was impressive given how packed the place was. I ordered a 6oz hand-cut sirloin topped with grilled onions, fries, and a baked potato. Double potato for me! The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted and was seasoned to perfection. Despite the long wait, Texas Roadhouse delivered a fantastic dining experience. I'd give them 4.5 stars--minus half a star for the wait, but honestly, it was worth it. Be careful when using the kiosk To pay your bill. Last week my family went to TX Roadhouse, the server and the food was great. Unfortunately, when we used the kiosk to pay the bill, it overcharged me on the tip. I clearly chose %18 percent, but the kiosk charged me almost 23.23% ( a very unusual amount). When we called it to the manager's attention, she said that it was a problem that occurs when more than one form of payment is used; that the problem could not be corrected in the store; and that I would have to call corporate. When I called corporate, the woman I spoke with seemed almost annoyed with my call, but said that she would correct the problem and send me a new receipt. When I got my new receipt, it showed the same amount and did not show a credit to my Visa. My question is: Why would you allow your customers to use a kiosk system that has a known problem, and why does the issue result in an increase of the tip amount by over 5%? It makes me wonder how many times I may have been overcharged in the past. read more

Our INVESTMENT CLUB luncheon where we were CONSIDERING TEXAS ROADHOUSE STOCK AS OUR NEXT GROUP PURCHASE (and we'd said so) was off to a rocky start. The dough and rolls are fresh made/baked. Unfortunately the server needed reminding to bring them. By the time one of our members noticed the dusty ceiling fan, another member nicknamed this the Outhouse... Long wait for food 3:10 to 4:39. The server apologized and explained that she'd been on leave, which we appreciated. Overall, the food was standard for Texas Roadhouse but the hospitality and professionalism need work. Management needs to take a serious look at their staffing levels and recruit some team members. Further, management needs to deploy hospitality/customer service training ASAP. read more

I have very intentionally avoided dining at this establishment in quite some time. However, when your baby boy makes a request for his birthday dinner, you humbly oblige. I can unfortunately, but most assuredly say they have made no changes. Thank God for family and fellowship. Our wait time was considerably longer despite being on the waitlist 15 minutes prior to arrival. Entrees were brought out one at a time in 10 minute intervals. I can't believe I didn't take any photos! This was our first time here and I'm glad to say it lived up to the hype! There is literally something for everyone here. We put our names on the waiting list to skip the wait time (if you're going on a Friday night, I'd recommend this) and got a nice booth upon arrival. Our server Jess (JB) was awesome she welcomed us as first timers and let us know her favorite menu items. The manager came over and gave us some of their sides as a welcome--another perk! This venue offers good serving portions and variety of menu options. Overall the items are prepared well. The blooming onion is not as oily as outback steakhouse but it needs a bit of seasoning to add flavor. The apple pie would be better with actual chunks of apple and seasonings. read more

I recently visited the Texas Roadhouse location in Bowie and, unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. While I appreciated the ease of using their website to join the waitlist and being seated promptly upon arrival, the positives ended there. Upon being seated, I found myself directly under a strong blast of air conditioning, which made the entire dining experience uncomfortably cold. When I asked to be moved, I was told I'd have to rejoin the waitlist--an unreasonable solution, especially given the discomfort. My wife's drink took over 30 minutes to arrive with no explanation, and although a manager did approach us regarding the A/C issue, nothing was done to remedy the situation, leaving us feeling ignored and frustrated. To top it off, when our food finally came out, the busser initially delivered it to the wrong table. These compounding issues made the evening more frustrating than enjoyable. I've been to other Texas Roadhouse locations and have generally had good experiences, but this particular visit to the Bowie branch was disappointing from start to finish. I hope they take these concerns seriously and work on improving both customer service and internal coordination. Great for ordering take out because the food is amazing, but lacking in the dine in option, especially for datenight. read more

Yesterday my friend and I wanted something good to eat, and Initially, we were headed to get hibachi, but the wait was extremely long (1hr & 20 mins, to be exact). We started brainstorming, and my girlfriend threw out Texas Roadhouse as an option. We decided to dine here for old time's sake. I got us added to the waitlist & drove 15 mins to this location. I texted once we arrived & in like 3 mins, I received a text for us to head to the hostess booth, and we were immediately seated. Within a minute or two, we were greeted by Shai, our server. She was pleasant, had a unique sense of style (loved her eye jewels & heart nails), was very helpful to us indecisive folk, and had excellent customer service. We were undecided on which starters to try, so our awesome waitress, Shai, suggested getting the combo appetizers (you can select up to 3). We went with the mild boneless Buffalo wings, fried pickles, and twisted mozzarella sticks. Everything was delicious, an excellent choice on account of Shai. Shai, let us know that our bread was being freshly prepared & it came out piping hot! Let me just say; these rolls were so scrumptious that we had to get more for our table. Now on to the entreés, my girlfriend decided to go with a half rack of ribs, a caesar salad (with a dressing made from scratch), and a baked sweet potato with toasted marshmallows and caramel sauce. My girlfriend said her food was delicious, hot, and right on time. For my entreé, I went with the 5 oz grilled salmon; I went with the buttered corn, loaded mashed potatoes, and added a side of shrimp skewers. My food was delicious & just as tasty as the first day I stepped into this restaurant a few years back. Shai kept our glasses full and ensured we had enough condiments and anything else we needed. I'm big on customer service, and Shai was on point with EVERYTHING!! I had to let her know personally how amazing she was because excellent customer service is hard to come by. Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite places to go for fried catfish. It's my go to meal. Every time I go I say I'm gonna try something else, but I always end up with the catfish. This time was no different. I arrived at the restaurant, and went inside to place my to go order. I was told that to go orders can only be placed via telephone or via the website. So I headed it back to my car and placed the order through the website. After I placed my order, I received a text confirmation message instructing me to pull into a numbered parking space & text HERE & my space number. Thirteen minutes later, I received a text saying that my order was ready. Shortly after someone headed out to the car with my food. The process was so easy, seamless, and quick. They have really mastered this to go ordering/curbside pick up situation. I could tell based upon the number of parking spaces that were reserved for curbside pick up. There had to be at least 20 spaces. I'll definitely be back to order more to go orders. I just wish there was a way to purchase extra rolls & request extra sauce in the ordering process. They give you two rolls per entrée, but if I was dining in I would easily eat 4. As always, my catfish was delicious, and I love the remoulade sauce that comes with it. For my side I had a loaded baked potato and a sweet potato. I know that's a lot of carbs, but I split my meal into two servings and have one potato and add a salad with each serving. They make a really good baked potato. First of all the potatoes are always huge. I think there's a height & weight requirement. Lol. They're a little salted on the outside so I always end up eating the whole potato, skin and all. read more

The service in the bar was far from "legendary". The bartender Fallon could be found in plain sight chit chatting with two managers and another staff all seated in a nearby bar booth instead of checking on the well being of the paying customers with botched orders and bills. This place is only good for the rolls!! I think this establishment is single handedly ruining the brand. I placed an online order to be ready an hour after it was submitted. Due to their poor service, I did not receive my food until 45 minutes after the order should have been ready. This amounted to 1 hr 45 minutes after the order was placed. I obviously notified the manager on duty, Kendall, of the issue who advised I would get a refund and it would take 1-3 days. After a week, I did not receive the refund. After several days of me calling the establishment, I was finally able to speak with another manager, Kayla. I spoke with Kayla on 5/10/24. Kayla explained that Kendall passed the refund request along but it was not completed. I received an email shortly after speaking with Kayla stating the refund was processed and would take 1-3 days. As of 5/21/24, I had not received a refund. I again ventured to call the restaurant. After being on hold for approx. 15 minutes I was passed to the General Manager (who I later learned was the Owner) Jim. Based on the previous emails I had been sending, Jim was already aware of my complaint. He advised there was no way for him to process my refund to my gift card. As a resolution, he sent me a voucher. The voucher had an expiration date. Several issues are at play: 1) Other managers should have been knowledgeable of this and I should have been told this 3 weeks prior when the initial complaint was made to Kendall 2) it shouldn't take almost 3 weeks to resolve a customer issue. Someone should have responded to my numerous emailed complaints 3) the voucher had an expiration date. I used ACH to purchase a gift card. Gift cards do not have expiration dates. Therefore my voucher shouldn't be limited in the use either 4) while Jim did apologize for the inconvenience he was not sincere in his apology and he definitely wasn't empathetic. He failed to actually listen to the concerns and instead chose to rush the discussions. As the owner, he did not do everything he could have done to rectify the poor customer service or retain me as a customer. for an issue that lingered for almost 3 weeks, it is not enough to simply offer a voucher for what was lost (especially if it expires) but you must go above and beyond for the inconvenience. Word of mouth goes a long way in earning profits. I certainly will be doing everything I can to ensure the discretionary income of Americans isn't funneled to establishments that don't care whether they get your business or not. read more
