I am new to the area and am happy to call the Club Pilates Tysons my home location. The General Manager Troy is lovely, always encouraging and prepared to answer questions and take feedback. And all the instructors I've had so far have been great. The environment is warm and inviting thanks to the staffs pleasant personalities and a variety of hygiene and beauty products available for members to use. You can tell the team is intentional about creating a positive community for members. Parking can be a little tricky so make sure to give yourself time to find a spot along the road or in one of their spots inside the Adaire garage. read more

I signed up for Club Pilates five months ago. I really enjoy this form of exercise. Not too hard. Not to easy. Adaptable. The instructors give us various options of difficulty to tailor our practice. This studio is included in my unlimited class subscription, and I often come here when my home studio is booked. Overall, it's great! The instructors are amazing, and the studio and equipment are pristine. The layout is better than most CP locations. There is ample room for everyone to access the cubbies, change socks, etc. The studio itself is spacious, and you cannot see/hear the front desk during class. The parking garage can seem slightly overwhelming at first, BUT there are plenty of spaces reserved for Club Pilates for FREE! read more

I wanted to get back into fitness, and start a new fun way to work out with a friend. We figured that doing a free introduction class was an awesome idea and were really looking forward to it. Then the both of us got multiple calls, texts, voicemails, you name it to discuss our goals and fitness journey? As a recommendation for ya'll to actually get future customers, don't do that. Out of all of those times that they tried to communicate with me, they waited until the day before to tell me that I need to purchase their grip socks that I've heard are $20+. This felt like such a scam and I canceled immediately. the "free" part is so... misleading. read more

I am struggling to enjoy this location. I am early in the required three month commitment and likely to cancel. The good: studio is well equipped and they've fixed the parking situation so it's easy to get in and out in the reserved spaces The bad: 2 of the 3 classes I've taken so far had a sub without prior notice. The instructor quality is not consistent and classes rarely feel challenging to anyone with a history of physical fitness. I think this is probably great if you are rehabbing an injury or need a more gentle workout, but this isn't a place that can offer much beyond that. The 1.5 flow class is suppose to be a more challenging class, I think? The 1.5 class I took today was taught by a sub and of the 50 minutes, 10 minutes was a warmup, 10 minutes of light exercises broken up by 20 minutes of random stretches (with no correlation to the exercises) and 10 minutes of cool down stretches. My heart rate got higher walking back and forth to the car than in the class. read more

GM did reach out, but did NOT reimburse me the full amount owed. I replied to him about it the same day -- haven't heard back as he again went missing, and has been for weeks now. One thing I also realized since posting the last review combing through all the bank statements: club pilates @ tysons corner raises the price without letting you know, and mine went up from $206 to $229 -- they just started billing at a higher rate, in addition to billing illegally in the first place. read more

Terrible experience. My very first class was at 7 AM and nobody showed up to open the studio and we all had to go home after freezing outside. First and second class were too easy so I tried to register for the third level and found out they have to approve you by watching you in the second level I took the second level and workout often and they would not approve me. I'm an older woman, 64, and this is my first experience with Pilates, have been at it over 6 months. The Tyson's studio has always made me feel welcome and heard. I particularly appreciate Debbie and Kim who put much thought and effort in "designing" their classes, and Rex for his easy demeanor and control of the class. Classes with the best teachers flow smoothly and it's time to stretch before you know it. 4 stars because 1) I wish they'd offer a 6x/month package deal because 4x isn't enough and 8x is too much and, 2) Corporate needs to mandate baffles over all the studio lights so they're not glaring in (y)our eyes. I was a member for almost a year, but was targeted by a specific instructor for some reason? I tried to avoid his classes, but the studio changed instructors last minute before I can cancel, so I attended his class again. He targeted me again and complained to the studio owner. The studio owner decided to cancel my membership. I am attaching my emailed response here. Overall, I enjoyed the classes, but am very disappointed in the new instructor and how this whole thing was handled. PS My email is responded with an out of country notice, so the owner made this decision without even being in office. That is very professional indeed. "Hi Clarissa, Thank you for at least refunding the last month. I will say that I did consider writing a complaint as well and was not going to. But I might as well detail my experience. I've experienced at least 5+ instructors since joining, and all of them are ok with us adjusting springs for the reformer to heavier if we want. I have done so in multiple classes without instructors having a problem. If instructors noticed my leg springs was too heavy, they typically ask if I know it's on (to make sure it's on purpose) and let me continue. Rex is the only person who removed a spring without asking anything. I noticed this months ago and decided against attending his class. Due to scheduling reasons, I wanted to attend a class in the middle of the day Monday, and checked to see that Rex was not the instructor (Corryn was on the schedule as of last night). By the time class started, it was too late to change. I made sure to not use max springs when doing leg work. The only time I "didn't listen" to Rex during today's course was when we were at the spring board, and we were told to clip the straps to our shoulder height. I'm 5'6" and falls between 8 & 9. Rex specifically told us to go up if needed, and I did, I chose 9, as I did with all courses whenever we use the spring board. No other instructor has ever said anything. Rex tried to get me to lower it to 8. Again, I've always used 9, and I informed him so. He backed off. I assume this specific incident is what he told you. While we resumed working out, I did notice there was another attendee of the same height, and she had hers pinned to a 9, and Rex didn't tell her to change her strap position. This is when I noted and considered filing my own complaint, considering I feel specifically targeted. Maybe this is because of my race or whatever physical quality, but I definitely noticed. Rex also informed the lady next to me to adjust her strap position while we were doing leg work on the springboard, and she defied him also, citing "she wants to listen to her body." Is she also being canceled? Now, if there were notes from other instructors about me, I will apologize as I didn't notice they were bothered if I didn't want to change my springs. For complaints from Rex though, I will defend myself, as well as post a copy of this response to review websites. It is very disappointing that a studio decides to only ask instructor's for their feedback without asking the clients' side. In addition, change instructors last minute, so even if we have preferences for instructors, we cannot avoid them. Thanks, Megan" read more

I am so pleased with the classes I take at Club Pilates Tysons in the Adaire building. Lisbeth has been very helpful to me as I had individual issues that she addressed and as a result I left class feeling so much better. I had had sciatica after a recent long airplane ride. Thanks to Lisbeth and Rex that problem is over. Also I have always had trouble trying to do "Teaser." Well, Asuka showed me a way to do it and I was successful. I couldn't be happier with the instruction I receive here and highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants to pursue Pilates. read more

We would have stayed but a rude employee (Mena) approached us as we parked our car in 1 of the Pilates parking spots - was not friendly & said, "the spots are only for the Pilates Studio"........ What makes her think we weren't there for the CP Reformer Flow class? We found her RUDE with no class! read more

I have been attending classes at Club Pilates since June 2019. They have been incredibly careful with reopening after a hiatus because of the pandemic. My flexibility has greatly increased and I am currently working on increasing my stamina by attending Cardio Sculpt classes. My favorite instructor is Robin. She always makes sure to show all accommodations available to modify exercise for both injuries and skill level. She is personable and genuinely cares about people, always reminding us to be kind in and out of the studio. The front desk is always helpful, and I feel confident recommending the studio to anyone looking for a judgement free place to get a full body workout for all fitness levels. read more

I have been a member of Club Pilates Tysons Corner since Nov 2019. Ever since, this has been my "Happy Place", consistently attending Robin's class, for she is an amazing instructor. My doctor highly recommended Pilates to help ease my debilitating lower back pain. Taking Robin's class has helped my lower back pain in check and now am able to walk long distance without limping. I've never done Pilates before, so I was pleasantly surprised at how unintimidating the classes are. The instructor always gives several options for a harder or lighter workout. The facility is clean, the vibe is upbeat, and I feel great after each session. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to book the classes I wanted, but I needn't have been. Clarissa's cardio sculpt class is what got me to join this studio. She's fantastic and that is by far my favorite class. She's very thorough in explaining the proper form, technique and which muscles you should be using, so you're really maximizing your workout. I have been taking Pilates for over 15 years and am a certified Pilates instructor myself, and I am very impressed with the level of instruction and care the the instructors take at Club Pilates-Tysons. I take most of my classes there with Robin and Sarah. Robin is incredibly good at knowing modifications that work for your body. She also is so sweet and kind and loving to her clients, the class feels like a group of friends working out together (which it kind of is) and you are still being challenged along the way! That is a special gift. Sarah is also a new favorite. She has extremely clear cues and really enjoys giving us creative (but still true to Pilates flows) routines to work on, and you will find yourself progressing in her class over time. It is a beautiful studio, too. People should make sure to budget time to get parked in the garage, which is a bit tight and confusing, and set up with anything they need at the front desk (like proper socks which are cute and you have to wear). If you budget a good amount of time for that, you can actually come and lay down and get your reformer set up and relax and stretch and decompress before the class starts. Each teacher is a little different which is nice and I look forward to attending the variety of classes. Robin is wonderful with helping people understand their modifications and that it is important to do what is best for your body. This is one of the reasons that I mainly go to her classes. Would give zero star if i could. Signed up for their 30 minutes free introductory session Which would start at 11:20 and I was super excited. Got to the entrance of the parking garage at 11:17 and the parking garage is just confusing for a first timer. By the time I made it inside the club it was 11:27. Needed to buy grip socks which took a couple of mins. By this time I already knew I was late and I apologized to the nice front desk lady and the other nice lady who took me to the class. Robin the instructor looked at her watch huffing and puffing, held her hand like a "stop" and in a very rude tone and rolling her eyes out loud said '" wait - I can't now"! I asked the nice lady if I should come and she said no, it should be fine. Then Robin took me to one of the equipments and talking in her mic, she kept on referring to me being late. I apologized the first time and said I was trying to figure out the garage. Then she explained the machine to me and said again "do it a couple of times. I've already been through this with everybody else but you are late and I shouldn't hold up others because you've been late!" At this point, feeling embarrassed for being called out so many times in front of everyone else, I was literally in tears. So I said, I don't want to interrupt your session, should I come back? She said yes, people do that. You can always come back next Sunday!! REALLY WOMAN?! You are teaching pilates, not quantum physics and although I was unintentionally late, you have absolutely no right to treat anyone like that and with that b....chy tone and attitude, especially when your sales team tries so hard for the nicest first impression. You definitely flushed all their efforts down the toilet! A bit a kindness, understanding and being nice ALWAYS goes a long way. I'd heard that people who are empty inside think they are really big when they are given authority. I saw a living proof today! As a reminder, the competition in this area is high and there are many other Pilates studios in the area. I'll take my business elsewhere! read more

Amazing, clean facility, great instructors, and fun upbeat music during class (although a little loud sometimes depending on some instructors to the point of not hearing their cues)! The Club Pilates instructor I recommend most is Robin Perine! I've taken classes with 3 instructors so far and she has been by far the most understanding and professional about members with injuries or chronic issues that cause movement to be more difficult. If you are hesitant about trying Pilates because you're worried about re-injuring yourself, hands down sign up for Robin's classes! She actually takes the time to do a quick check in with you before class if you've mentioned your injury or issue to her. She will give you alternative options for certain moves if you're experiencing any pain or concern about your injury that day, or will tell you how to challenge yourself more if you're feeling good. Robin is so motivating and does the best job getting to know people who come to her repeatedly - she remembers exactly what your concerns were. She truly practices the philosophy that Pilates is for EVERY body!! read more

one word. WOW!. I found this fantastic studio by living in the Adaire building it's attached to and have been attending classes since its opening last month. I have been through many gyms in the area trying to find the "right fit" for me and after a severe injury had to rethink how I keep my body strong...enter Club Pilates. Never taking a Pilates class before I was a bit intimated taking my first free intro class, upon entering the studio I was warmly greeted by Julia who is the manager of the studio. Julia walked me through the studio, introduced me to the instructor there that day and explained what to expect from my first class. I fell in love with the studio, the classes and the instructors!. All are compassionate, kind and give off the best vibe. A month later I couldn't be happier with the studio, management and my instructors. The studio has multiple class times so the option to work out daily isn't a problem. I've been taking Pilates at this studio since June 2020, after two year of dealing with hip and back injuries this place and instructors save my life!!! I am back to be active and I am able to get physical active, regain my strength and flexibility has improved tremendously. They offer a variety of classes fro all levels from beginners to advanced and even private sessions. The instructors are very professional and very well trained, each has their own qualities and make them unique and complement each other. The instructors teach techniques, challenge the members to improve and the classes are amazing. Among the instructors ROBYN (who gave the passion for Pilates to my daughter during the winter break) she always explains the technique and give modifications for upper or lower levels, BRADLEY is a perfectionist and he inspire you to get better and better, ELLI is fantastic and her classes are never doll, never the same. SARAH is well trainned and there is not part of your body that she dose not make move. MELANY is very tough on her routine and make you sweet, you don want miss her class. Don't join their mailing list. They will call, text, and e-mail hassling you trying to sign up for a full membership. Had to block them. I can't imagine the place is built very well, they barely had walls up two weeks before opening. I live in the building they are underneath. Don't bother because the building already has extremely limited parking, unless you are coming in via metro just pick another Pilates place out of the dozens out there. read more
