Been coming here since 2013, and I must say this is my go to place for Bikram hot yoga. The temperature is hottest here, compared to all the oTher yoga studios I've been to, so this is the place to go to sweat! When I first came to this sttUdio, there used to be carpeting. Now, it's been renovated and it's like a laminate material in the exercise room. There is also a good heating HVAC system here. Insel is the owner and he teaches some of the classes too. The staff are friendly, the location is close, and the prices are fair. Check it out and give hot yoga a try in Tyson's!

15 years and I still can't get any of the postures correct. Average of 4 to 5 classes a week in that time. I don't recall missing many weeks. Almost 68 years old. I am down to 190lbs and close to my high school weight. Been thru Heart Attack, Afib, high blood pressure, cured Hep C after 30 some years, possible diabetes, arthritis in guitar hands, hearing aids, eye contacts. I will say: I believe I am still alive because of my passion for Hot Yoga. I had to give up my love of cold beer, but not quality red wine, prepare the correct food with daily intermediate fasting. Hydration is SO important. Most of us walk around dehydrated and don't know it. I've worked with Alkalized water for 10 years to drive hydrogen into my cells so my body can hold the water and hydrate. By late October I'll post another picture. I hope it will look better and healthier. I am starting back with my Pilates Reformer and light weight training to increase strength. Once in my life I was 245lbs. That weight for me is a path to the dirt. The reason for this post: In the future I want to talk with others about what I have learned in the hope I could help them find a better quality of life. After all I have been thru I am still very happy and trying to stay positive in our crazy world.

    HOT YOGA.

Amazing class with a knowledgeable instructor. The temperature in the room is spot on and the facilities are very clean.

It's dirty in bathrooms, the sinks are always dirty, all bathroom floors are wet, and showers are covered in hair. Disgusting! their cleaning people pass over issues rather than handling. Not to mention the fact weights are always missing and we have basketball courts making it so loud your noise cancelling headphones still won't block it out. You also can't get through to equipment unless you cross behind the courts so hopefully you can catch a ball. Also pretty sure the AC doesn't work at all. The one good part is the GM there is always kind but their upper management seriously needs to fix these issues or just close the gym at this point. It's embarrassing

The pool is also very nice especially since few gyms even have a pool let alone a steam room. One of my favorite aspects of this gym compared to others, is it isn't filled with personal trainers hogging up all of the equipment or asking "how many more sets do you got?" People do give this location a bad rap because of the bring your own lock situation but I personally love it. In the locker rooms, they have a leave your lock section where you can have your own locker each time you come visit which is so nice having extra clothes available. I have also dealt with way more issues with gyms having built-in lockers where they can easily get jammed, and you have to call the front desk on the phone. Is this the best Equinox location I have been to? No, but it still super nice. My one complaint is I do wish that the gym had a little bit more space available. At the end of the day, it's still a great gym, and I'll be back many times.

(See pic) - it is like a maze: hard to navigate easily and it reminds you of your public school set up - group classes itself were nice, but the AC AND the fans on the ceiling don't work, so imagine how hot it gets.. like 77 on my group class day. It was so uncomfortable. - if you need tennis or other courts: this is your best bet! They have so many tennis and other sport courts. So choose this location if you like tennis, squash etc. not a good fit for those who just wanna workout in group classes or swim in comfort. $90 a month plus $100 or so for initiation fee. 3. When the manager, Bill, approached me, I tried to be reasonable. I introduced myself and attempted to deescalate the conversation. That is when he called me a child, said he could kick me out due to my conduct, and told me he would be watching me from now on. Separately, a woman at the front desk named Marina (who handles memberships) jumped into the conversation and brought up an unrelated prior incident where she claimed I had cursed at the front desk before, as if that was relevant to this situation. Both employees came across as aggressive in their tone, language, and body language. I've been coming to this gym for a while, and the other staff members have been great. My issue is not with the gym itself, but with how these two employees handled a minor situation in an unnecessarily confrontational way. I'm sure they'll try to find minor infractions and attempt to remove me unjustly.

I love the coaches in the Mosaic location (I haven't been to other locations). I am a total beginner to pilates-like classes and the reformer machine. I took ~3 foundation classes to get started and I felt like the instructors were all so great at helping me improve my form to get the best workout possible. I feel pushed but not shamed into challenging myself. They sell towels and water if you happen to forget to bring either. I feel like a sweat a mild-moderate amount and I don't think a towel is absolutely necessary. Water is probably a good idea - but the class is pretty fast-paced so not a ton of time for water breaks anyway. Now that I'm hooked, I typically do ~2 classes/week. I like the early AM classes (but they fill up fast!). I feel like this gym is clean and compact. I get exactly what I need out of it. There aren't showers so plan accordingly if you have plans afterwards (it's a good sweat!) I like their Public Goods toiletries and have even bought some myself after using them at this gym.
