I even drive 45 minutes after work to get here (it's that good)! The instructors are unparalleled- making class engaging throughout (especially the sculpt classes)! The manager, Jami, and the receptionist team are very welcoming and are happy to answer any questions you have. They have classes for every level- and encourage modifications and making the class align with your specific needs. They offer Sculpt & Flow classes (strength training), Signature Hot, Power, Restore, Slow Flow, Mix, Mobility, and 101 classes. They've also been offering themed classes, which are so much fun, and clinics- which I have yet to try but hope to soon! Located in the Burke Centre Shopping Center with plenty of free parking. As soon as you walk in, they ask you for your name to check in and then direct you to one of the two studios in which the class will be taking place. The studios were very clean and well maintained. There were lights lining the floor around the room. I'm not sure if this was for the holidays or if this was a permanent lighting.... But it was still nice! I loved that the classes were held in the dark... With the just the lighting along the floor. The the two classes I attended were in the evening, candlelight one was R&b music. The other one was rap music. I'm not going to lie, the music with lyrics is very distracting when it comes to yoga! Especially because the music was pretty loud and the yoga instructor did not use a microphone. As soon as Ginuwine "Differences" and Anoop Dogg "Drop it like it's hot" came on, yoga was over for me LOL. I like that they offer locks at the front...for free, but I had my own lock. They can be returned either in the basket in the bathrooms or at the front. They also provide other toiletries and sanitary products. Also, for first timers, they provide a mat for free which is then returned at the end of the class. There's parking surrounding the building but it can get a little tight. Would I return? Sure, absolutely if it fits my schedule!

Two months ago they decided to close the studio with one day notice to their clients. The management swiftly transferred everyone to the Burke studio. This was unfortunate because the travel time with construction was not feasible. I asked to freeze my account for a month while we traveled, but they still managed to charge for another month! While I was away I decided to cancel my membership instead of freezing for another month. I was told they would refund the charges to my account. However, the story changed once I cancelled my membership fully. They seem to change the rules to their benefit with no regard to their loyal customers. Mind you, I stayed with the studio during COVID and joining workouts in the parking lot! I never froze my account, and actually encouraged my family and friends to join Pure Barre. In the end, my dedication to the company of Pure Barre meant nothing to them and they stole a full month of charges without any regret. I would never deal with a company like this again, and I hope you don't either, because they don't care about you or your fitness journey, they will change the rules and the days they charge your account so you will always lose and they will win. Pure Barre should be ashamed of themselves for running the business with such disregard for those who have stayed loyal to them thru the years. I RECOMMEND NO ONE JOIN PURE BARRE NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.

I love their staff and how hard they push their students to grow and dig a little deeper while still focusing on proper form. I love the wide variety of classes they offer and the fact that they have the occasional special and even offer some free classes on the plaza. I love that they hold community events and seem to genuinely care about their students. To be honest, I haven't ever found such a feeling of community at any of the other Pilates or Yoga studios I have been to. Fairfax is very lucky to have such a wonderful studio and I am very glad I stuck it out through that first barre class. Since then, I have had so much fun going through the intro equipment classes, getting to know different teachers, fine tuning movements, and getting pointers on how to take my practice to the next level. I have also thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of the Dog Days of Summer package they offered in August and taking unlimited barre classes. A+

Olivia is great at helping us adjust our poses so we get the most out of our practice, with consideration for injuries (or things like weak wrists) and different abilities! In my experience, each class is only as difficult as each of us is just capable of pushing ourselves because she always has recommendations for adapting the poses, up or down, to our own levels. My back is no longer achy like it used to be before I started yoga-- rather than get regular chair massages I now regularly do yoga. I get a much better value for my time and money strengthening and stretching my back, legs, and supporting muscles through PEY. I started as a beginner, and it is really rewarding to feel myself getting stronger and more flexible, suddenly doing poses I hadn't previously been able to do. I also love Olivia's DVD. I even got S to start doing it with me, and he loves it too. (Though it is better in person.) ' Positive Energy' is really the perfect name for what Olivia is and does.

It was a super good class (work those hips) and Zahra was awesome dancing side by side with me. My fave part was definitely dancing with the veils (super sexy).It just so happened that it was a rainy night so I was the only person there but that didn't bother me. She even texted me a few days later notifying me that a class was cancelled due to weather (how awesome?). If you're looking for a nice sweat from a little independent and inexpensive studio then I recommend this place! Will be going back for yoga class.
