"Pav" Pavan, the owner, is a nice humble guy (I didn't realize he was the owner until I took a few classes), and will pop into class once in a while.

F45?! More like F35!!! I love group fitness but I could…read morebarely bring myself to try a second class. I'm sorry but watching a tv screen and rotating through stations just doesn't do it for me. I may as well workout at home! I timed that the actual minutes I was working out for was 33! F35 might be okay if you are new to working out and need some kind of direction. The weights are decent but again I could do this at home. But avoid if you are an experienced athlete and want an actually challenging workout! The instructors didn't seem very knowledgeable either. Having done gymnastics at an elite level, I know the qualities of good athletic trainers. The instructors at F35 would just cheer and point to stations that the tv was showing. Kind of ridiculous! I think I'll take my money elsewhere! Other cons include: -absurd cost -no towels -claustrophobic studio -parking in tight garage

I am usually a big fan of group fitness so it's painful to me to give this such a bad review…read more However it is a major waste of money and I want to advise others to stay away for the following reasons: -Time: you go in thinking you are going to get a full 45 minute workout. However, it should be called F35 bc after the instructor shows what each station is, there is only 35 minutes left and this includes warm up time and time between stations -instructions: basically a tv shows what each station is. And the instructor really only goes around cheering for people. One instructor looked so young and didn't really seem to be that knowledgeable on fitness. -Price: a drop in class is $35. Given that the workout is only 35 minutes after the demo, that's a $1 a minute. -workout: the sets were really short and simple. You may as well just do your own workouts bc you are looking at a tv for instruction on f45 anyways -other: the space is really small and not very nice. They don't even give towels which is absurd for $35 a class. And also they won't stop bothering you to join after you try a class. F45 Is a fad. If you are interested in group fitness try a cross fit studio or literally any other gym. They will rob you of your money here and you won't get that great of a workout.

Falls Church City

I purchased a Groupon for CrossFit Falls Church to try it out; I had never done CrossFit before and…read moreI wasn't sure whether I would like it enough to make a long-term commitment. I registered for their Elements classes with Jordan and absolutely LOVED every minute of it! All of the coaches at CFFC are extremely knowledgeable and patient. They take the time to teach proper form for every movement to help avoid injury, but they know how and when to push you to reach your full potential and make progress. After completing Elements I purchased a monthly membership (which includes yoga and various workshops, as well as the opportunity to take classes at their sister gym, CrossFit Adaptation in Shirlington), and promptly cancelled my "traditional" health club membership -- no more treadmill for me! The gym is clean, full of a variety of equipment, and reasonably priced (compared to many other CrossFit gyms in the DC area). They offer a ton of classes each day (from 5:30am to 7:30pm) and there is a real sense of community among the members. I am always amazed at the variety of CrossFitters in each class -- all ages and all skill levels, all shapes and sizes. Thanks to Linsey and all of the other CFFC coaches, I can honestly say I look forward to each workout and I am actually a bit sad when my body tells me to take a rest day. I have enjoyed my time at CFFC so much that I purchased another Groupon for my husband -- he just finished Elements and is hooked!

I love going here! You will definitely get a great work out. I love that there are flexible…read moreoptions for joining (I'm a punch card member right now). Linsey is great, she's a good coach and helps me figure out what in the world I'm supposed to be doing (lifting what, how???). If you're not sure if CF is right for you, definitely check out the free Saturday class.

HOTWORX - Vienna

I am extremely disappointed with how HOTWORX Vienna handles membership cancellations and customer…read moreconcerns. Trying to cancel my membership has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with any fitness studio. I spoke directly with the owner of the facility, and instead of taking accountability or assisting with my request, he repeatedly deflected responsibility by saying that "corporate" makes all the decisions. It felt like a constant game of passing the blame, which is completely unprofessional for someone in an ownership position. Additionally, they intentionally leave out certain information to get you to sign up, and once you have a card on file to pay for the membership, they charge fees and have rules that are hidden in the contract. When asking questions about these fees and membership terms, I was misinformed by multiple employees, including the owner. Furthermore, when signing up they also state you "must" buy THEIR mat and towel (which are insanely expensive, over $100) to use in the sauna, but in overhearing a guest tour during my session, another employee stated "any kind of mat and towel can be used in the sauna, even one off Amazon." I would NOT recommend HOTWORX Vienna to anyone looking for a reliable or honest fitness experience. This kind of misleading practice is disappointing and untrustworthy. Lastly, the facility itself also leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom is consistently unsanitary, and there's often visible sweat on the inside of the sauna glass doors between sessions -- which is unacceptable for a place that markets itself around health and wellness.

I workout here regularly and have had a great experience. I love having a more private space to…read moreworkout and always feel safe to do so here. Sauna workouts during the long, cold winter are a game changer!
