I love working out here! If you have a hard time staying consistent or motivated to work out, pilates may be the answer for you! If a pilates class here feels easy, check your form, and then good luck walking out of here! Lol. Taking pilates classes here have made my neck stronger after a whiplash injury, and has helped me improve my core strength. I even started liking planking, which is gross haha. All the instructors I came across in my last 8 months working out here have been helpful and mindful of my injuries. I absolutely adore Maddie B and she is very helpful with describing the move and the things to be mindful of as you're completing it. When you stay consistent with one trainer, I think it's easier to make faster progress. If possible, I would come in with some prior experience of lifting weights, and maybe even some yoga experience, although it's not necessary. I found that while the instructors are observant of those completing the moves wrong, without speaking up it's sometimes difficult to get the smaller modifications needed, like keeping your neck straight while planking. At the end of the day, you're responsible for finding what feels good in your own body. If something feels off or wrong while attempting to perform a move, speak up so that the instructor can best assist you. Arriving early to class helps prepare you for modifications that may be needed in that class specifically. I signed up when there were class specific monthly memberships going on, but their specials change month to month. Okay, in all transparency I've never really liked working out. On a whim I tried this place out seeing a 'free session' from a Facebook ad. I had never done Pilates before, but have wanted to for quite awhile. The result: loved it! All of the instructors I've had so far have been so knowledgeable with an appropriate attention to correct form. I really like how you have your own little space for a full body workout, and just have to follow the instructions. Easy to say I'm almost hooked! The classes are smaller, at a dozen or less per class. If you've never tried it before and want to, take them up on the free offer-so worth it! read more

I am embarrassed that I have not written this review sooner. I took my first class in September of 2020 with Chandra Greene. I was told by Mayo Clinic that I needed to focus on core strength but not in a rough and tumble way. Without getting sappy, I never thought I would get my life back. Club Pilates is exactly what I needed. I love Club Pilates because there are three total studios. It leaves no excuse for not getting into a class. I think the reason I haven't written this review is because Club Pilates has become "family" to me. The people who attend class are focused on themselves. It isn't a competition. It is truly a place where you can just do Pilates. I can reach out to Club Pilates and they will immediately return my call or my email. Club Pilates offers a range of mental health benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood, enhanced focus and concentration, and increased self-esteem. These benefits stem from the practice's focus on controlled movements, breathwork, and mindfulness, which can promote relaxation, and boost positive emotions. I do Club Pilates with my husband. It is a great relationship builder. If you are military, Club Pilates offers a service discount. For me, being even a wee bit recognized for my military service, represents a business is grateful. If you feel like you can't do an exercise, the instructor will modify for you. I have heard the excuse, "Pilates is too hard." It isn't. It is hard work but it isn't a brutal, painful class. In closing, I have found that Club Pilates offers the widest, most extensive list of classes. Their instructors are phenomenal and really care. Pilates is awesommeeeee I went here on a yelp elite event, to he south Reno location, for a 30min Pilates class. Classes are typically 50moms so this was just a preview of the different exercises. The trainers are awesome here, they kept explaining to us the exercises we were doing and what the effect on the body was. They also corrected us if we went wrong and kept motivating us, keeping the mood positive and fun. The club was well lit and had positive vibes. One thing though, don't let the equipment scare u I would definitely want to join it. Had an awesome time. read more

After signing up for a free introductory class, I met Kristin my instructor who gave me a waiver to sign. While signing I asked if she was vaccinated for COVID and she said no. That was when I said "no thank you". Although I was interested in finding out more about Club Pilates and having a free introductory lesson, I was not going to expose myself to someone being that close to me unvaccinated ( even with us both being masked). Corporate CLub Pilates: Obviously your instructors do not need to be vacinnated in order to teach at your club. Not cool. I love this place. Not only is pilates amazing but this place, the community and the instructors are so welcoming. I love the the care the the instructors give. Even tho there are others in the class, I feel that they pay attention and help people with their form and answer any questions. I never feel like I don't know what I'm doing or lost at all. They are super helpful to make sure I understand exactly what I should be doing. The schedule of classes is awesome too. Soooooo many options!! And with 3 locations in town, you there are no excuses to not go to class. I highly recommend you check out the CP studios. The price is amazing compared to other pilates studios in town. read more

Truthfully I signed the contract and so therefore I have to pay $100 to cancel. I didn't like this place as much as others. The teachers were very nice. I just like my Ball Fitness better. I guess in order to cancel I have to pay the fee but I think they should have made it right and let me out of the contract I only took 2 classes and have decided not to continue. My bad. Expensive lesson. Note afterward. Just got the credit card bill with the 100 early cancellation fee. Stings. I went to 2 classes. Another point I'm going to make is that they wouldn't of let me join if I didn't sign the darn contract. I think that they should refund my money. read more

It's been frustrating now to return to the mask policy but I know that CP Northern Nevada has followed strict cleanliness protocol all throughout this COVID-19 "season" (through closing, (READ: NO INCOME to owner/instructors!! Reality check for all you complainers!) providing online classes, reopening in phases, continued check-in with members to provide various levels of "safe return" (or NOT returning in-person for those who are more health sensitive or cautious) - please remember, we all have a CHOICE to vaccinate or not, so don't put it on the business owners to monitor or force anyone's choice - if you don't like that the owners are offering their members/staff "choice", then do not return in-person, there are LOTS of options for you (purchase your own reformer, amazing online courses with guided instruction, online mat classes, etc.) I missed in-person classes terribly (Hello Covid-19 lbs!!) & being back has made our core CP Pilates "family" stronger (physically & mentally) by being SUPPORTIVE of one another through the trials, tribulations & triumphs of life. I have been going to this location for over 5 months. I have shoulder, lower back and knee issues. Since starting I have noticed a change in muscle tone and flexibility in my back. The instructors are really good about providing modifications, when they know you have issues. Other patrons are also nice, friendly and helpful. read more

They official opened on March 7th 2015 but there is a Club Pilates Grand Opening Party on Saturday, June 6 at 10:00am in PDT. Thanks to GroupOn, Yelp and their introduction package (sale end June 5th - I think) I was able to score some classes at an amazing rate. The place is brand spanking new. My 1st few classes, the mirrors were not installed. The reformers are separated by spring boards that give ample room on the floor for mat exercises and a chair (not for relaxing it's another method for inflicting a killer ab workouts). They also have rollers and weights that are so new I almost expected to unwrap them. Pilates is not always known as a cardio work out but they offer several Cardio Sculpt classes per week. In this class they use the jump board to really get you sweating. I've done Pilates on/off for the last 10 years but this was the 1st studio that explained the difference between east coast and west coast training. Since the first class was small (just 2 of us) and I had "good form" the instructor perhaps sensing I was home sick treated us to the "100s" in straps and "roll over." I must keep in mind I pay for this treatment. It was great! My next visit (and several after that) the instructor was Jessica Roberts. I've trained with Jessica at many other studios around town. She has made Club Pilates her home base. Don't let her friendly nature and petite stature fool you; once her class starts hold on to your straps it's going to be a serious workout. As hardcore as she can be, everyone is invited to work at their own pace - adjust springs and take breaks as needed. Yet, she has a knack for making me actually work out at my level. Stacey Ziegler is new to the team. I only got to train with her one time so far. She runs a nice tight class. Allison Beardsley, another Reno Pilates vet, is also on the line up. Only trained with her once at this studio. She another very friendly but gives a great workout instructor. She starts you out high by saying "You're strong you can handle it" but adjusts the machines as needed. The classes are getting larger each time I attend. Which is great. They are planning to expand their schedule and bring on more instructors. I hate to type this but I hope they add more cardio classes and maybe an east coast class. read more

Lovely environment and teachers. The machines allow for a lot of different movements and it's a good choice for working out if you enjoy group classes. I came here originally for a yelp event and won 3 free classes. Lucky me! I took a friend with me to the stretch class with Kyl. It was slow paced and a good stretch. As a newbie, it was a little hard to fully relax and get into my body as I was very focused on figuring out how to follow along with the class. I've also taken reformer flow 1.5 with Chandra (this class fills up fast!) and cardio sculpt with Jessica. Neither were too fast paced but they got your body moving well. Both teachers are fun and friendly. I bought 8 more classes through a silent auction (donated by Club Pilates to benefit St. Baldricks's foundation! :) ) and redeemed my classes with Jessica (April 2). I was excited to have a bank of classes to use throughout the next few months. I was texted yesterday (May 2) that the classes expire after one month. Well that's too bad that I wasn't notified until the day they expired!I really only bought the classes with the desire to use them throughout the year (I feel that the classes are a little slow paced for me to use them as my regular workout). I called to hopefully work it out with the studio, and all they can do so far is "possibly extend the expiration date for some of the classes." I still have 7 classes to use. I was told that there is a note on my account stating that I was told about the expiration date. This was not expressed to me by Jessica when I redeemed my gift card nor was it written on the certificate that I bought. I understand that this is a chain studio, so they might have stricter rules (I have never bought yoga/pilates classes that came with expiration dates), however I am extremely dissatisfied that I wasn't made aware of the expiration date from the moment I chose to buy the classes (let alone the day the classes expired). Update: I received an email that my classes have been extended for another month, though there is still no written clause that the classes would have expired at all. I am happy that Club Pilates has been prompt to get back to me on this. read more

24 weeks pregnant and trying a new class at an entirely new place, let me just say I was a bit nervous, but I had the best experience ever. Mimi was great and really took the time to help correct my positions and tailor the workout to my changing body. I am so excited to have found affordable pilates reformers classes in Reno. The gym is brand new and all the machines are as well. At the end of class I felt rejuvenated and elongated, best of all I could finally breath, something you take for granted until you are pregnant. Here are the highlights of regular practice (in my experience) I've been practicing Pilates the last 8 years (on and off) and even have my own studio reformer at home. I'm a huge fan!! Before I started, I saw the above quote & some studio tagline about looking better naked. SOLD! I committed to 30, 1 hour sessions as a test. I started with private sessions and moved to group. The result: :: Tight, flat tummy (for real). Never knew I had those muscles in there :: All my adult life, achy knees. All joint pains = gone. :: Posture. Strong spine and core = better posture :: Beautiful, sculpted tank top ready arms less the non flattering bra fat all girls know & despise. The arms came soon for me. Like a nice early win. :: Taut, toned, lengthened muscles - not bulky! :: Increased energy. For me, it's the concentration on proper deep breathing, closing my eyes on the reformer and really focusing in on doing good for my body is a meditative experience that leaves me feeling refreshed and really, really good. :: It's fun & addicting. It took me some experimentation with teachers and classes but soon I'd look forward to 2 back to back 1 hour sessions. Crazy, I know. :: It's everything without ever getting boring or overworking your large muscle groups as a lot of other exercise methods do. Cardio through the jump board, strength training throughout and almost every move incorporates some type of stretching. All in one. And you would not believe the variety - which brings me to..... Part 2: Club Pilates!!! I did not start Pilates in Reno so it's my first studio here. I totally lucked out & picked the best one, I know it! Here's why: :: It's affordable. Shop around. $149 month unlimited. You won't find a better price. (They also have non unlimited, per class pricing) :: Very clean, light and cheery atmosphere with new & well maintained equipment. :: Variety of class types and volume of available classes. Everything from a nice restorative Stretch-ilates class to a hard core 2.5 (hardest) Cardio Sculpt to a Reformer/Barre mix class. :: The teachers. I've taken classes from all and have my favorites but they are all really good and each gives you a different workout which really adds to the fun, experience and challenge of it all. :: The Club Pilates method. Personally, I don't love a 100% Classic Pilates workout. I prefer the newer methodologies with some classic moves added in. Club Pilates classes do all of that PLUS: TRX Suspension, ballet barre, the Exo chair & Spring board (additional Pilates equipment), magic circle, small ball, foam rollers, slides, blocks, mat work and more! Each reformer station has its own equipment. Brilliant set up! It's always a mix and you never know which tools you'll get to play with!! :: Hand weights during warm up. Genius! You're doing your foot work why not get those arms working at the same time. Why doesn't everyone do this? :: All club access. It's a rapidly growing franchise (the founder lives here and drops in to teach on occasion!). I don't know how many but guess it's 50+ so you can visit any club with your membership. :: 7 days a week, holidays included, with classes from 6 AM - 6:30 PM I love working out at home on my reformer but when I get bored with myself and need to really step it up, this is where I go to get inspired and toned! read more

This is the 5th studio I've tried and my new favorite. The studio is SO nice. I love that they have lots of props to mix things up and that the instructors know how to use them through out the class. Hand weights are commonly used at the same time as lower body reformer exercises-- I love the total body work out. The instructors are really experienced and give great tips through out the work out while paying attention to your form and giving personal attention. All of this plus a great location has me switching my membership to this studio. read more

So happy I signed up for Club Pilates. As a total newbie with a leg injury I was in really good hands with Allison. She paid close attention to my limitations and my form and guided me through alternative moves when I was unable to perform the standard ones. It's clear she loves what she does and her enthusiasm is infectious! The prices are really reasonable and there are lots of options for monthly plans or purchasing multiple sessions. I started here a year ago not even knowing what pilates is. They are welcoming and their demo class gives you a taste of what to expect without committing yourself. I have been enjoying various classes including Cadio jump, barre, stretchilates, and classic reformer pilates. They have classes all throughout the day. And the GM here, Jessica, is very knowlegable, helpful, and such a happy person to be around. They're also opening a second location in Sparks too. This place is amazing! The facility is extremely clean which is a refreshing change of pace in comparison to some other studios I have attended. The reformers are in great condition and look new.
