I responded to the text noting that the excessive amount of phone calls in such a short period was not appropriate or a good way to gain business and did not receive a reply (but the phone calls did stop, which means the text was likely read and there was simply no reasonable excuse that could be made for four phone calls in a two minute period). I have not visited this location and it may very well be amazing - but I'll be finding a different studio to join after today's display of how potential future members are hounded to schedule their first class.

Life Time seems to have popped up overnight and taken over the luxury gym space. I first saw an ad…read morefor a free introductory class at this location which is how I learned of them and then I saw that they also have a location at Penn station. For my introductory class, I signed up for their Core Pilates. It was really difficult to sign up. I had a hard time getting in contact with anyone (it took about 4 attempts). But when I finally did, the sign up process was easy. They had a lot of classes to pick from, including Pilates, Barre and cardio classes. I didn't realize when I signed up that this was a reformer class. I usually do mat Pilates, but there were a few other beginners in the class and the teacher was very patient and nice. The great thing about the reformer machine is that you can turn up or turn down the intensity of the workout according to where you're at. It does take more coordination than I'm used to being on the machine, but it was fun! The teacher helped make adjustments so I could get the maximum benefit, which I appreciated. The Hackensack facility was really nice and big. They had complimentary lockers and towels and the changing room and restroom were both clean. The membership is kind of steep at $279 per month, but they do have discounts for 26 years old and under an 65 years old and over at their other locations.

I said NO PROBLEM...I was leaving, asked him for my ID back, and he started taking pictures of my ID with his phone... I initially bought 10 sessions and has been a regular since then. First, layout is beautiful and fancy (chandelier lights). Second, it's clean (cleaning sprays and sanitizers everywhere). 3rd, all great instructors (BettyAnn, Matthew, Steve, Nancy and Natalia. There was 1 that was a challenge but she's gone now). It's semi-private, maximum of 9 but you still get that personal training feel. 4th, awesome owner and her assistant.
