Every time I come here i am welcomed and taken care of quickly. Job is done perfectly. Today I called and asked if they would be able to get my smog done in less than 45 min since I was going on my lunch. He said he would do his best and that is all I could ask for. Went in I was 4th in line and got out in less than 45 min and the people before me also got taken care of too. Super fast and friendly. Love it! read more

My wait was about 45 minutes because 3 were ahead of me. The cost out the door was $55. I have a 2006 Prius. I believe newer cars and diesel cost more. The snacks were tasty. read more

@Kay H, I am appalled at your negative review about Clovis Smog. I am a first time customer and did witness your visit on Monday 5-4-20 You were very rude to the lady whome was polite in trying to talk to you about your complaint on all the customers who were not wearing mask, that's including me. As i walked into business .you told me no one in waiting area and none of the employees are not wearing mask, i stated to you in a nice manner, it's fine with me as i have faith your response back to me was "RUDE! Faith has nothing to do with it. I was very shocked to see a grown man be so rude and disrespectful to not only the woman of the business, but also towards me as I'm a disabled woman. We as Americans have a choice to do business anywhere. You could of easily, seen that no one was wearing a mask and leave. Instead you were very rude and loud so all can hear. read more

Setting the scene - Labor Day weekend, 8/30. I thought my registration was due 9/23. Turns out out it was due 9/3. So I needed to get it smogged ASAP. It was Saturday at 11:45 and they close at 1pm. I walked in and the service was fast and all my questions were answered. Waiting room was full of coffee, water, and snacks. Perfect for a wait (though the wait was not long at all.) Finished up by 12:15pm. So easy and very helpful! 10/10 would recommend. read more

They will not charge you if your vehicle fail smog. I was greeted by Smog technician/General Manager/Shop Attendant/Owner and his two friendly dogs who curiously rested their heads on the service counterIf you are looking for a trustworthy reliable hassle-free smog-check place I would like to recommend Clovis Smogs. Great find on Yelp! Remembered that I needed to pay my tags with 2 days left before having to pay additional fees. Ran to the DMV at 4pm on a Friday only to realize I also needed a smog. Searched Yelp and found 5 stars and great reviews for Clovis Smog. Planned to get my smog done the next day. Clovis Smog opens at 7am, but I didnt make it there until 730. I handed over my keys at 0735 and literally was paying and done at 0745. Cute little place. Super clean unlike most automotive type businesses. As other Yelpers have mentioned, there is a nice selection of coffees, teas, hot chocolate and creamers as well as some snacks which are a nice touch. Enjoyed the American pride decor inside which isn't unusual for Clovis, but is nice to see as current times try to make us feel bad and ashamed for being proud to be an American. If you need a honest and quick smog, bring your vehicles to Clovis Smog! read more

I found Clovis Smogs in a list of the best Smog Test facilities in Clovis. It was ranked number one and I was really excited that someone mentioned there would be free snacks involved. And yes, there were free snacks! Fruit snacks, granola bars, a candy jar. In the beverage department, various coffee and tea choices, and even hot chocolate (oh, and lots of creamer, if you're into that sort of thing). The building had a lovely interior, fifties theme and patriotic, complete with a prayer on the wall! Service was extremely swift (and they said they'd give us the test free if we didn't pass). And, on top of all that, this was the best price of the Clovis stations I called. $44 including the certificate, unless you have a motor home :) read more

Super fast service. I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. Also it was the best price I found in the area. I had messaged Mike through Yelp to ask a question and to find out the price and he got back to me right away. Mike is really friendly and makes you feel comfortable while you are waiting. The waiting area is decorated nice and there is a table, chairs and couches. Also different snacks, teas, and coffee to drink. Kinda wish I had taken my son with me because I think he would have loved it in there haha I will definitely be coming here from now on for my cars and will be recommending Clovis Smogs to friends and family :) read more

Clovis Smogs saved me so much time. I bought an out of state car and of course it needed a smog. Not only was I able to get a smog check, but also registered the car and got my plates all in the same place. NO DMV needed. Friendliest place in town. I won't go any place else. read more

Mike the owner responded to a RFQ quickly. Went in and Mike was friendly and efficient. $44 out the door for my '11 Mustang. Good coffee and snacks in a clean '50s style waiting room, was out before I finished my cup of coffee.. Highly recommended local one man shop doing business "the old fashioned way"- Friendly, low key, competent, fast. Will be a regular, if infrequent, customer. read more

It's nice to know there are still places that value/ understand what customer service is. For starters I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I called and the person was very friendly and there was no wait at the time. I hurried down there and my car was smogged in minutes. He sent the DMV certificate and good for 2 years. Clean waiting room with refreshments and wasn't a mask police! Thank you! read more

This isn't just a smog shop, I literally want to hang out here on the weekends. It's so clean inside and there is coffee, snacks and a sweet dog inside. The waiting room is comfortable and legitimately feels like your frequented neighborhood bar. Service is excellent. The price is posted upfront, it is the same as other places and the employee is super helpful. I love that they open on Saturday's. All in all, I'm looking forward to my next smog check (yep it's true) at Clovis Smogs. read more

Quick, very friendly, answered all my questions. More pricey compared to other smog shops but check out their snack table! Also, I don't mind paying more for great customer service. ****IF YOUR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON****, its an automatic FAIL. (And smog shops cannot refund you). Not the case when I visited Clovis Smogs, but I wanted to share that from past experience. Recently moved here from Texas and I was previously unaware. read more

Came in on a Saturday to get a smog check and there were 2 people ahead of me. They got me in within 30 minutes and the process didn't take very long. The lady that assisted me was very personable and friendly. She offered coffee and snacks to everyone that came in. The office was very clean as well. read more

Super nice place. If I was not there for smog, I would think it was for Country Breakfast. Offered me coffee and tea while I waited. I was literally in and out in 10 minutes. They opened at 7:00am and I arrived a few minutes early. He welcomed me even though it was not 7:00am yet. Played with his dog most of the time he was smogging my car. 5 stars for sure. I have bounced from one smog place to another for years but this is my new spot. read more

You can get the sticker right away. DMV office hours are 8 to 5 M-Th and 8 to 3 Fridays. Saturdays we are open 8 to 1. You may want to check with us if coming on a Saturday for dmv Txu for your inquiry.

Advertise Pricing that company show $26750 , tax and fee show $2945.97. Sum up the 2 numbers will come out to $29695.97. He wanted to play words with me like $29695.97 is the net pricing with tax and fee , and wanted to add $2945.97 one more time. I was tired with this guy, no respond and decided to leave. For the whole story, i did not low ball their pricing. Whatever their mother company want to sell , i agree to pay for, but when i come to the dealer. All dramas and traps. Even when the sale team member agree with the OTD pricing. You still have to deal with their sale manager with all bs reasons. ONE MORE THING: THE CAR IN REAL IS NOT SIMILAR TO THE ONE THEY ADVERTISE. THE WHEEL LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE ON THE WEBSITE EVEN THOUGH STOCK # IS SIMILAR. I GUESS THEY SWAP FROM OTHER MODEL FOR OTHER CUSTOMER. SO WHOEVER BUY THAT CAR AND DO NOT PAY ATTENTION OR CHECK CAREFULLY, WILL END UP BEING A LOSER. I ASK AND THEY BLAME TO THE THIRD PARTY THAT TOOK PHOTOS OF THE PICTURES.

They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.

Let me explain: I thought it was time to put brakes on my 21 Ford F150. I had been having some front end shaking. So after calling around, I decided that I would just take my truck over here, and I am glad that I did. I went in and told the Service Advisor that I wanted the brakes done on both axles, a brake fluid change and, while they were at it, a tire rotation and balancing. Well, about an hour later the Service Advisor came in and told me that the technician told him that the brakes were in "very good condition" and that the likely issue with the front end shaking was due to the tires being "WAY" out of balance. In fact, unbeknownst to me, one of the wheels had shed its balancing weights completely, so that tire was way out of whack. So, $71.96 later, the truck is back to normal with no shaking whatsoever. Now, how many other shops, including Ford dealers would have the ethics to do that when a customer comes in wanting $1000 in parts and labor for repairs? Most repair shops would just say, "well, the customer wants brakes, so let's give him brakes and for good measure, let's say it needs new rotors as well". How would anyone know? I will happily recommend Pep Boys in Clovis and will definitely be back when any of my vehicles need servicing.

If your defense of your business requires name-calling and labeling customers as "3-year-olds," "woke," or "racist," then your argument is already lost. 3. Business Practices: You claim to stand by your convictions, yet nowhere in your tirade do you demonstrate professional integrity. Instead of calmly clarifying procedures or providing evidence of your claims, you chose to weaponize your personal identity and hurl threats. There is no legal basis for your threats, regardless of how strongly you assert otherwise.
