EXCELLENT AND ON TIME SERVICE! This week I had my 13-year-old Chevy Traverse LTZ serviced at the Cloverly Citgo. This was my first experience working with Asif and Waseem as I typically handle my vehicles' service myself. Unfortunately, I needed items addressed quickly so the vehicle could be taken on an unexpected trip. I asked for a quote to have the following done: remove/replace both rear hub bearings and remove/replace rotors and pads. They quoted a reasonable price and a very quick turnaround of done by 5PM the next day. I dropped off my vehicle, and it was done before 3PM the next day. The price paid was the price on the estimate, plus the cost of a new rear caliper, as one was seized. In addition, they cleaned and adjusted my parking brakes, which haven't worked well since the last time I did the rear brakes. AGAIN - - - EXCELLENT AND ON TIME SERVICE! read more

Maraj is a SCAM ARTIST!!! This was a horrifying experience. My vehicle was running normally before I brought it in for what should have been a routine oil change. After the service, my car was performing significantly worse and became difficult to drive home safely. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service I received and the condition in which my vehicle was returned to me. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business and encourage customers to carefully inspect their vehicles after any work is completed. read more

No one--and I mean *no one*--wants to hit the brakes and hear that awful grinding sound that screams, "FIX ME!" That's exactly what happened to me. I was too nervous to drive far from home, so I took a leap of faith and headed over to my neighborhood Cloverly Citgo. Now under new management, I'll admit--I was a little hesitant. The previous mechanic was beloved in the community, and change always makes folks a bit uneasy. As an avid Yelper, I usually need a few glowing reviews before trying a new spot. But this time, I just drove in and hoped for the best. And you know what? I'm so glad I did. The new owner greeted me personally and reassured me they'd take good care of my vehicle. They put my car up on the lift, and--yep--my worst fears were confirmed: both rotors and pads needed replacing. But here's the thing--Eddie, the mechanic, not only fixed my brakes, he also took care of a tire that had a nail in it *free of charge.* Talk about going above and beyond. They treated me like a valued customer from the moment I walked in, and more importantly, they earned my *trust.* That's not easy to do these days, but Cloverly Citgo did it. They've got my business from now on--and my recommendation to anyone who needs honest, reliable auto service. read more

I stopped in for gas very early in the morning. This place was very clean and well lit for a service station . Also it was conveniently next to a 7-11 my favorite spot off the early morning you can't beat that lol. read more

The people here are so pleasant. I went to tires plus to get a bulb changed and they wanted to charge me $100 for the labor and the bulb was only $5. So, I ended up here. They were very friendly and helpful. They gladly changed it for me for probably $12. I always experience good service here and I recommend this place. read more

This review is for the new ownership. Manager Tom was very friendly and professional. He took a quick look as I requested it to him ( my car didn't start earlier that day). I went back next morning , he already got the part and replaced it in an hour as he promised me. Staffs were also very friendly, much cleaner and nicer than before. And price I paid for replacement of starter was much better than any others and previous owner. I will definitely will go back and will recommend to all my friends! read more

I think I already reviewed Mr Tu but something has happened to my review. Anyway, Mr Tu is the best; honest, competent, reasonable and timely. What more does anyone want in a mechanic? Highly recommended based on my 15+ years of experience with him. read more

Dingy. There is cheaper gas on New Hampshre but this one is the closest to my house. If you have time, head up towards White Oak and you'll find cheaper gas and cleaner areas. read more

Cloverly Citgo - Gas Stations Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

I had been using a mechanic that is a family friend for years until recently. My cars ended up having to go back to the shop for the same issues repeatedly. I got tired of not knowing the real answers and not believing what I was told. The mechanic lost my trust and my business. I decided to go to Cloverly Citgo, I have bought gas there for a number of years. I talked to the owner (Mr. Tu) and brought my car in for service. Mr. Tu is very honest, he spends time with you to explain what the issues are and he will also show you the parts that he has replaced. He does not upsell you on things that don't need to be fixed. I recommend him to everyone that is in need of repairs. He has my business and my trust. You may find cheaper gas but you will not find a better man. read more

Love this business. Very honest. Very reasonable. Very hard-working. Very nice. I've had my Honda serviced there for the past 10 years, and couldn't be happier with the outcome. read more

Finding an honest mechanic is like discovering buried treasure. The owner (Thu, pronounced "two") has been a mechanic for decades. He's not in the business of selling you unnecessary repairs or marking up prices on parts. In fact, when he says that you need a repair, he'll remove the broken part, place it in the box that the new part came in, and hand it over to you as proof! His prices are extremely reasonable, often considerably cheaper than what you'll find at the dealer. In fact, don't even bother to take to the dealer (unless it's a warranty repair); take it straight to Thu and he'll make sure you're taken care of. We completely trust him with ALL of our car repair and maintenance needs. If you've been burned by dishonest mechanics in the past, then you know the relief that it is to find a reputable and honest technician like Thu and his staff. read more

Tu has worked on four different cars for us over a 15 year period. He is honest and is open about telling you his recommendation. He has done both maintenance and repairs to brakes, exhaust and minor engine repairs. I haven't used him for tires. He has done excellent work for us through at least 30 different repair/tune up services. He keeps to his quotes and delivers on time. He will also help you with referrals if the work is not in his expertise. If I were to be in the repair business, he runs it as I would. read more

We've been servicing our two Toyota's here for several years and we've been very happy. Mr. Tu is a knowledgeable and honest mechanic. His prices are very fair and the quality of his work is excellent! We recommend him to all our family and friends! read more

I live nearby and have used Cloverly Citgo several times for repair work. I've always found them to be very reasonably priced and they don't try and tell me I need things that I don't. The owner Mr Tu is very honest. It's nice to have a place you can trust nearby. The gas isn't the cheapest around but then again it's not the most expensive either. read more

Avoid... Gave me an estimate for over 2300took it elsewhere and had the work done for 750.

I cannot say enough good things about Tu, the owner of this gas station/car repair. He is honest, fair, and completes work in a timely fashion. Tu has repaired all 5 vehicles we've owned, including cars our children have run into the ground. read more
