This place is hoppin on a Sunday in the south! I was in the area visiting my Mama and had called in a family meal for pick up. I could not believe the number of people at tables and waiting on take out. The phone was also ringing off of the hook, but the ladies all maintained smiles and genuine Southern hospitality. I brought our meal back to my Mama's house and we dug in. The family meal included 4 biscuits, a gallon of sweet tea, turkey with dressing and gravy, rice and gray, green beans, and mac and cheese. I was in Thanksgiving food heaven. Every single dish tasted like it was prepared with Grandma's love from her kitchen. Will definitely be a regular at Clover Station when I am in the area. I arrived at a good time as a table had just opened up and was cleaned for me. At just before 11am, I opted for the breakfast menu and ordered a ham and cheese omelet. It didn't take too long (the restaurant was quite busy) and my breakfast was set before me. A good portion, nicely loaded with ham and the toast was tasty. Easy and simple, they got it right. Unfortunately the family gathered here this afternoon for a meal after Paw Paw's funeral. Go rest high on that mountain Paw Paw Johnny. Very good place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is a meat and 2/3 veggie down home southern kitchen. However, you can get burgers, salads and other delicious items. The service is hometown, good ol' folks, and keep your tea glass filled at all times kind of place. Many things were eaten today by our group of 22. Being a keto guy I had grilled chicken, deviled eggs, and green beans. The green beans were cooked with fatback, delicious. The chicken breast was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. The deviled eggs were PERFECT!!! Wife had a grilled chicken salad and killed it. The boy had sliced ham with green beans and macaroni and cheese. The girl had Salisbury steak with rice and beans. My father had fried chicken, black eyed peas and deviled eggs. All good and no issues. Several family members got dessert and all said it was delicious/ homemade. I don't see the attraction to this restaurant. Food is mediocre. We ate there 2 weeks ago and my French toast was black on one side and the other side wasn't cooked. I like to visit a place a few times before Onleave a review... this was trip number 3. ambiance was clean and filled with local flavor.Servers are all kind .. now the let's talk about the food...Lack of taste , slopped on to plates and not very good. today i ordered meatloaf and mashed potato's with gravy... with a side of jalapeño corn( this was good) they other food tasted like instant mashed potoatos and meatloaf was cold when i asked to have this heated up i was told " well the plate is warm" i said thats from the corn( which was in a seperate dish. The sever comes back with a bottle of ketchup that i did not ask for because " it dried up all the other" meatloaf still cold. If you want a rude waitress, slow service, cold food, and having to never get all you ordered, then this is the place for you. A recent evening was beyond awful! We came very close to walking out! The waitress literally asked for a tip after complaining that we had been told that they might be busy. I had to ask for a salad, never did get everything else. This is a great little country cooking restaurant. We will definitely be back!! It was a recommendation of an elderly gentleman and his wife that we met on the street in front of the restaurant. I had the fried chicken breast string beans and coleslaw. My husband had fried pork chops (2 small ones) mac n cheese and Lima beans. Oh and corn bread. We are looking forward to our next visit. My husband and I passed through downtown Clover many times and finally stopped. Service was friendly and quick. Food was hot and delicious.

This was the very first time I ate here and I had a very bad experience. It felt like i was being rushed while I was trying to pick out my food and when my food arrives to me the waiter almost pours it onto me. I ordered two biscuits and gravy and the gravy was spilling off my plate and the waiter was tilting my plate sideways and the gravy almost hit my shirt. This is horrible, if you don't know how to do customer service then you don't need to work here. I used to work at El Mexicano and my customer service wasn't this bad. If that food would have hit my shirt whoever served it would have had a bad day not being disrespectful but brutally honest. Y'all need to do better! read more

We take out our dinner from Clover Station at least once and sometimes twice a week. The country style steak is so tender and delicious. The tomato pie is beyond good, we could eat it everyday.
