The only reason they have a star at all is because of the food! The food was absolutely amazing but the service was HORRENDOUS! My husband and I went there this morning for breakfast and when we were seated we were greeted fast but our server (Jerrica) only came back to the table to take our order and give us our food. I never got part of my food neither of us ever got a refill on his drink and we never got napkins, and that was just OUR experience. The whole restaurant was most likely having one too! There was a poor couple that was in the back corner for over 20 minutes at a dirty table because there was no where else to sit and the gentleman had to get up to ask for their menus and for someone to clean the table. There were people sitting at the table directly next to them that got served with no problems. Many other tables had empty cups too and a table only got napkins after the nice dishwasher that was talking to them gave them their napkins. And the icing on the cake of our experience was my husband had to go get my box and our check(luckily we weren't charged for the food I was missing but it was still on the receipt) and she still after all of this never came back to the table. Jerrica should not be in the service industry and if you have her as your server you honestly should just get your food Togo. TLDR good food shit service just get TOGO!! read more

Now Sharon, (shay,ren) is a small country town with very little in the way of industry and business, but what they do have is real sincere country charm. You can roll into the Sharon Grill and find it everyday! Hard working people eating a meal made by hard working country folks. Good food, great atmosphere and even a pretty good steak! The little chopped potatoes at breakfast are awesome. If your in the York area it's worth the couple of extra minutes to Sharon especially at breakfast. read more

Met my sister and her husband at Sharon's Grill. It was the halfway point and turned out to be a great place to eat. The food was very good! Best chicken tenders I've ever had, and made with real chicken. Chips were homemade and amazing flavor. Everyone in my group really enjoyed their food, chicken, burgers, steak, and fish. People that complain about not getting enough food here just eat too much and do not know the feeling of a full belly because they have a bottomless pit on them. The place is absolutely beautiful as well since they have remodeled it. I've been going to the Sharon grill for about three years now. Really like the renovations to the restaurant but my dining experience was pretty bad last week. The service was ok not stellar and the food was plain. My son got a double bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. I got the "Chicken philly wrap" and sweet potato fries. The burger seemed fine, my some ate it and onion rings were mostly fine breading. My chicken Philly wrap was awful and microwaved. It was small!! Looked like a taco wrapper vs large burrito wrap. Very little chicken and veggies and the wrap was chewy like a microwave cooked it (maybe it was frozen). We also got the fried Mac and cheese. I think we got 8 quarter sized bites. Hot and tasty but very small amount for the price point. Total was 36 and change and with tip over 40. Not sure what happened but this quaint little town diner is asking premium pricing for basic food. Burger King would have been 22 for all the same food and the ambiance is not all that. Hope it improves but we are not going back for a long time. The more new restaurants open in York, the squeeze will be on this little place and not worth the quality vs price. Hate it for them too but this review may help them reassess the prices and menu! read more

I have eaten hear maybe 6 times before. Never took the time to write a review because it was nothing notable to write about. Went here tonight and waitress said the special was all you can eat perch or catfish or just a regular serving. Ordered the all you can eat perch. I received my first order and waited, waited and waited. Drinks were never refiled. To Make this short I was there 2.5 hours. There were never more that 6 tables seated the entire time. Another waitress came over at the at the end and brought me 2 more orders of fish. Still no tea. My original waitress is a staple in there. She has been there a while. She was on the new patio talking when I left. I will never return because of the service. The food was very good. The restaurant has been remodeled and now has a small bar. This place has decent food but they keep raising their prices. They have about priced theirselves to high. Got a hamburger and they charge for everything that you have put on it. Breakfast is real good but again over priced. Seems every time you go over to eat the menu prices have changed. Hope they get their prices back down. My husband and I use to go here all the time but probably never again! Not after the horrendous service tonight. First they left his food off the order, we waited twenty to twenty five minutes for a burger! By the time he got his food we were all done. And they still charged us for it. We had to get our own drinks because our waitress was too busy flirting with the regulars. We could have been regulars but your service drove us away. And then they tried to double charge us! Since it was sold a few years ago it started off pretty strong with a new fresh look on the place, updated menu and service that was relatively decent. But it appears all good things must come to an end as this place is rapidly declining! The service is horrible, the food tastes like something you would get out of a cafeteria and the prices are ridiculous for what you get! I always go some where twice before I decide if it's worth ever going back. In this case I went last month for breakfast and this week for dinner. For breakfast I ordered 2 over easy eggs, sausage, and a waffle (which i was told by my waiter "Our waffle machine has been down for weeks because the owner is suppose to be cleaning it.) Anyways the food came out very quick, I was confused how they got my sausage done so quick. Well after the first bite of my small hockey puck of a sausage patty I realized It had been cooked well before I got there. Now my eggs were fine a little salt while cooking would have took them a long way though. My server retured and I told her about my sausage and she just laughed and said "that's how they always are there's nothing wrong with it." I could tell she really didn't care what I had to say. I still came back for dinner after this incident. Oh boy did I have the driest hamburger steak ever and a baked potato that was still raw in the middle! I asked for mushrooms on my hamburger steak which were 100% out of a can and very slimy. My server never did make it back to my table after she dropped off my meals. Dry meal with no tea to wash it down, what a bummer. I finished up and went to the front to pay and there was this blonder server who checked me out that smelt like she just had got down smoking outside (and not cigarettes) do as you please at home but come on while your working directly face to face with peoples families. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place even though the sign says "famous sharon grill" read more
