Regular mani - OPI's Funny Bunny.

Tiny, clean nail studio located at Sheppard & Yonge's Emerald Condos. Need directions? See below. I read the reviews and decided to check out Clover. I was greeted right away by two friendly women. I asked for a regular manicure and picked a shade. The young woman didn't give me her name but her work was meticulous. Went a little deep with the cuticle cutting but wasn't painful. Another woman came by and suggested I get shellac next time. I explained that shellac has ruined my nails on more than one occasion. Still, she asked that I give them a try next time. Her approach was friendly which I didn't mind. They used an electric hand dryer which I appreciate. The manicure was just $14. Greatly appreciate the attention to detail and great work done by the nail technician. Will be back! For those needing directions - WALKING OUTDOORS: walk south on Yonge Street to Poyntz. Make a right and enter via the double automatic doors. Make a left and keep walking west to the 1675 Patisserie. Clover is diagonally from 1675. Your marker is a small convenience store with stationery in the window. FROM SHEPPARD-YONGE SUBWAY STATION: walk south - the entire length of the subway platform - and take the escalator up. You will see signs for Emerald - follow them. Make a left once you reach the ground floor and follow the instructions above.

First time visiting. Recommended by a friend. I had some difficulty finding the place but they were nice enough to provide me direction over the phone! Amy was really nice! She did my shellac manicure in 45 minutes. I went for a blue/purple cat eye. Plus tip total came to $55. Shellac color change is $25 Call ahead to book appointment. No tax if you pay with cash!

Walked in on a Monday afternoon and got a shellac manicure. I came in around 2:45pm without an appointment and she took me right in. It's a cute small shop. I spent $50 for the manicure. I got to choose 2 colours,1 design and she took off my shellac nails. She said if I come in next time she'll take off the shellac for free. Very nice! Will most likely come again!

Daisy Nails and Spa, located on Yonge St. near Kempford (where the closest big intersection is…read moreYonge/Finch), is a popular place in the neighbourhood of Willowdale to get your nails done. They also do spa services such as waxing as well. Do call ahead of time as this nail salon does get busy! They can try to accommodate walk ins but you may have to wait a bit or schedule an appointment another day. I had gotten my nails done at Daisy Nails a few years ago and decided to return for their services. My friend and I opted to go to Daisy Nails and Spa for our manicures (removal and shellac manicure for me, a shellac mani and pedi for my friend) on a Friday afternoon. I called about 3 weeks prior to the appointment as I wanted to make sure we got our manis together or around the same time. The staff were prompt to take my name and number down during the phone call. Day of our appointment, although we arrived on time we still had to wait about 10-15 min for our nail technicians. I probably waited a bit longer. The place was a little over half full and all the nail technicians were busy with other customers. My shellac removal and manicure took almost 1.5 hours long (usually would take me about an hour at another salon, however, I did have to wait a bit in the beginning). My nail technician was attentive and friendly. I had 2 split nails which she was aware of and took care to cover them up. She also listened to how I wanted to shape my nails and made sure I was okay with the length. Manicure wise, she did a great job! My friend was also happy with her mani and pedi services. If you pay cash you don't need to pay tax. They do however, accept credit and debit as well. Overall, good salon around the neighbourhood. It is a popular place so it does get quite busy, best to book an appointment ahead of time, especially on the weekends!

I've been to this nail salon plenty of times and will always be a good choice to get your nails done. I like this spot, they always nail it! ;) They can do versatile nail art and attentive to detail on that. Cons. They don't have the friendliest service and don't listen as much. But if you show them a photo of what you wanna get done, they will do it. Overall, I always leave with nice nails and a happy mood.

However with the great reviews I was reading on this place I wanted to check it out. Can I just say you definitely need to be patient when going to this location. The parking lot is crazy small.. I was lucky enough to wait a few minutes and get a spot! I walked in (with a thought of being turned down because they were busy *side note yes I had a back up plan) and asked for a refill. The manager just kinda looked at me and then looked through his books and I was fortunate enough, he said I could have a seat (reluctantly). The establishment is small , to me everything just seems really cramped in one. There were a lot of client service staff to accommodate every seat in that place which was really good. I had a woman (she was blonde) and didn't introduce herself. However the work she did with my nails was beautiful. she was extremely precise which I thoroughly enjoy. I chose the colour that she was wearing because I couldn't spot it out in the selection. Bio-Gel Refill - $40 cash ($45 if you use card) Mr. Manager asked me if it was my first time and i replied yes, he then informed me to next time make an appointment because they are an appointment only nail salon. Which is fine if I lived near here and this was my nail salon. However I have a nail salon but I just did not want to head up then back down for what I needed to do. I do promise, if I ever break a nail I will call first. haha.
