We were here for boba. We enjoyed our drinks. Very refreshing specially the fruit teas. You can adjust the sweetness of your drink which was a very nice option. The only disappointment was that they used paper boba cups. First of all you can't see the drink and the cup doesn't last long. It disintegrates before you finish your drink. I would really recommend trying Cloud 9, I'm a regular there and every time the service is great. The atmosphere is and decorations are comforting, pretty, and there's usually some music or a show playing in the background. The staff are always nice, patient with me, and very kind. I love going out to eat there with friends when I can because the food is delicious and the boba there is great. One of the only things I have a issue with is the pricing, the food is really good but sometimes it's kind of expensive for the amount you get. The reason that I'm giving them two stars is because the drinks are fantastic but this place is "Nasty FILThY" I was standing waiting for my drink and I started really looking around and the walls are dirty , back behind the juice bar, the sneeze gaurd is nasty. The drink machines are not wiped down at all. It looks very surface clean, and you can see the stains on the walls all over actually and the floor is dirty too. The boba & drinks get 5 Stars!!! Although they are a bit pricey compared to other boba spots it's definitely worth it. Some of the best boba I've had in Vancouver. I love that they are OPEN LATE (great for stoners on that late night tip) & have so many options of textures to add to your teas including brown sugar boba AND honey boba. The flavors they have for drinks are amazing too. Lychee Blush slushee was amazing, so was the cloud 9 smoothie. (Ask for a punch card they're good for drinks and appetizers. I rate 4 stars for the food. The Bahn Mi was really good, but the fries were honestly terrible. I ordered them off door dash and they have them listed as "Cajun fries" but there is no Cajun seasoning on them at all? Just regular French fries. They were very hard to eat too. They tasted like McDonald's fries that had been left out overnight (hard, stiff, stale). The fries were not good at all and not worth the money. I haven't tried anything else to eat and not sure that I will. I will definitely will be back for some boba tho! read more

"Hello, welcome in". That is something you will not hear as you walk through the doors at Cloud 9. If you walk into a Vietnamese restaurant where a server is wearing pajamas it is highly unlikely your order will be taken within the 40 minutes you're there, staring blankly at the ceiling, waiting ever so patiently for them to give you any sort of attention. And a group will come in 20 min after you, get their order taken immediately, and get their food in 10 min while you're still being ignored. All while your menus have been stacked on the edge of the table for 30 minutes because you are ready to order and very hungy. I would give a zero because literally nothing was done other than taking us to our table and ignoring us, but that is not possible so I'm giving a one. I have visited this restaurant many times and the food is always wonderful. Flavorful, texturally pleasing and delicious. Everything always seems really fresh. I love their appetizers like the salad rolls, crab Rangoons and also their honey walnut shrimp is really good. Their bahn mi sandwiches are very tasty as well as their Thai tea! These are the items that keep me coming back. The decor is really cute inside and everything seems clean. The service can be a bit spotty with younger and less experienced staff, but the food is so outstanding I am willing to over look that. It's OK. Look how cute the Thai tea is and So yummy! read more

impromptu dinner here last Tuesday. I ordered Bun Cha Gio Chay which is veggies noodle bowl with egg rolls. my friend ordered shrimp fried rice. I didnt enjoy my food. it was too much starch not enough fresh veggies and every thing was sweet. . also the tofu were small crunchy bites that did nothing to enhance the other ingredients. . finally it was $11.38. I paid. with a 2 dollar tip. total of $13.38. and leaving hungry....... 8 or 9 dollars is what it should have been my friend said his shrimp fried rice was just ok.....didnt care for the fact that it was so greasy. he paid $13 he felt it was over priced. . usually If we find a good place.....as we are leaving were planning our next visit. and happy that we found a great find. we were not feeling that that with Cloud 9 on a positive note the whole place was very clean and esthetically pleasing to the eyes. we cant seem to find any restaurants that we can get excited about. read more

I decided to try this place for the first time and just got salad rolls and never in my life have I had an inedible salad roll, I've had bad salad rolls but I couldn't finish this. The salad didn't taste fresh the tofu wasn't soft, the rice noodles in them were HUGE and mushy, then to top it off they put MINT in my salad roll and I have an allergy to mint so that was awesome and the peanut sauce was just funky tasting... way too expensive also, at my place they're 5$ for HUGE FRESHH roll with more than just bagged lettuce. We have come to this place many times and maybe they were having a bad night but it just continued to go downhill from the second we sat down. No one came over to bring us menus or take our order. After about 15 minutes the employee takes our order which we order our drinks and food. So about 30 minutes passes and another booth is then seated. We are still waiting for our food. About 15 minutes later the table seated after us appetizer comes out. At this point I am frustrated but it's an appetizer. Then about another 10 mins goes by and the employee is now bringing out the other tables food. Here are places for improvement, we were told your internet went down. Ok I can understand that but at the point of that happening our order should have already been in the back being prepped when the internet went down. Second instead of avoiding us, come check on us, apologize for the delay, see if we need anything. If you had communicated with us we would have more than likely stayed but avoiding us drove us out the door. Also the entire time we are sitting there you are paying more attention to the door dash orders than the customers who took the time to drive to your establishment which you get 100% of the profit from us than had I ordered thru doordash. read more

The food is still good, but since the new management there's a few things that need some work. Customer service, when I sat down i was not offered any water until just before I received my order. If you start off with any appetizers I would highly recommend their chicken wings. Vietnamese style that has a crunchy batter coated with a tangy fish sauce. Their pho is better than most places around Vancouver with tasty broth and a good amount of meat. The meats in their vermicelli and rice dishes are marinated very well and full of flavor. We used to come to this location when it was Pho Thanh. Yesterday was our first visit since the new ownership. The interior has been remodeled beautifully. It's modern & welcoming. We were seated right away as we were the only customers in the restaurant. We ordered shrimp & pork salad rolls, pho & I special requested lemongrass chicken & stir fried veggies. I didn't want the noodles or rice. The salad rolls came out quickly. As they're one of my favorite things, I've had many salad rolls from different restaurants & this was the first time I had them where they put in this crunchy, deep fried stuff. I don't even know what it was. It tasted fine but it just didn't go well with the overall softness of the salad roll. I would've much preferred it without. The peanut sauce that came with it was delicious though. The lemongrass chicken & stir fry vegetables were.....interesting. I only had a handful of bites. Way too much ginger & it was drenched in this orangey, watery sauce. The flavor was not good. It didn't even look or taste like lemongrass chicken. Hubby had pho. It was okay. The flavor was a little interesting as well. There was a spice in it that I did not recognize that I've never tasted before in pho. After we received our food, no one came to check up on us & our water glasses went empty & we never got refills. The chicken was gawd awful....burnt and the sauce was just so....I'm sorry.... but awful! Don't even think it was real chicken!!! Look at the pic!!! The spring rolls were the the size of my pinky and cost nearly 6$!!! The sauce they give you also, they put little shredded carrots in so it makes it look like you have more than is really in there. And the sauce they give you with the spring rolls is watered down and literally taste like what puddle water would taste like. Poor taste. And the "salad" was shredded lettuce from a bag. I'm just so so so absolutely disappointed. Their business gets to stay open and mine can't is a whole other issue I won't even go into. Shame on you guys. read more
