About 3 weeks later, all of the issues started coming to light. We called about the post-completion issues, and were told to "call licensed professionals about it." Utterly WOW! I had been running around to every stone warehouse and talking to almost a dozen…read morefabricators over a period of several months, based on Google research and Facebook ads. We had resigned ourselves to pretty basic (ie "UGLY") granite due to our budget. But I drive past this fabricator almost every day near my house, and decided to stop in on a whim to see if they could beat a price that another fabricator had quoted me on a slab I had seen at a warehouse. Isa greeted me cheerily and said she'd do a little research. By the end of the day she had sent me quotes on several slabs, including the one I was interested in. Her quote beat out the other fabricator (and she didn't know the competitor's price!), but she suggested I take a look at another showroom in The Colony called Verona Marble, to see if there was anything there I liked. Pulling up in front of the place, I quickly realized they would have NOTHING in my price range, but I went in anyway, and fell in love with multiple slabs I knew I could never afford. I sent her the ones I liked, and to my shock, one was square in my budget range, and the other 2 I could have pulled off. However, my favorite slab was the one that she quoted within my budget, and that's the one we picked. It's a new type of finish called "iced," which is a combination of the new, trendy "leathered" finish (which offers a coarse, almost pebbly surface) with a final polish that only shines up the larger, highest patches of the stone. It's utterly breathtaking to look at, AND touch. Visually and texturally stunning. Their quote on this slab was lower than quotes for even the basic, cheap slabs I was getting from other contractors, I could not believe it. (The base granite in the slab was an otherwise drab, basic, grey granite you see everywhere, but the finish transforms it into something that looks super high-end and perfectly matched the look in my new kitchen. This is why it was in my price range, the granite itself is cheap, it's the finish that elevates it.) They scheduled measurements/templates for the day after my contractor was supposed to finish installing my cabinets. Unfortunately, he had to come back that morning for a couple of hours to finish, so he was present when Granite Fabricators came to template. This meant I had to reschedule templating for later in the day, incurring an extra fee. (My cabinet contractor's fault.) However, they measured at 2pm, and the countertops were installed THE NEXT DAY. (Keep in mind, this was in January, which is the slowest month for countertop fabricators.) As a chef, not having a kitchen means not having income, so I was SO impressed with this turnaround time. Something to note is that their people showed up early for EVERY appointment at my house, so if you have a 2pm appointment time, please be ready to expect them up to an hour early. As someone who works from home, this was not a big deal for me, but if they had arrived at their stated time (or a bit later, as most contractors do), I might not have had to pay for a reschedule when they showed up while my cabinet guy was finishing up. Overall, I am utterly thrilled by Granite Fabricators of Dallas. Their prices can't be beat, Isa and Elva in the office are super friendly and follow up quickly, and our new countertops have astounded everyone who has seen them. They look ultra-luxe, far beyond what we expected to get with our budget.

Even though they only had a couple of reviews, I liked what I read from the other folks and what I saw in the photo gallery of their work. Bottom line, A1 Eagle Eye Pro Contractor is fantastic to work with, and I've already got another job lined up for them, and will be having them do several other things next year. I definitely recommend them if you want high-quality results! I was beyond impressed with every aspect of a large job that entailed the following: - Removing the old (thin) wood siding panels and trim over three large areas on two sides of the house. - Removing the old worn and warped wood chimney surround and dormers. - Replacing/rebuilding all of the above with Hardie Board cement siding and trim. - Exterior painting. Communications with Bob were always timely and professional with the estimate and invoices for each payment provided via email. The estimate in particular was great: each aspect of the work was detailed in a section of its own, priced separately, so it was obvious what you were being charged for. And the guys who do the work are top notch. They showed up on time every single scheduled day, worked hard for the entire day (weather permitting), and took such care and pride in their work with obvious attention to detail that this nearly thirty-year-old house now looks better than it did when it was new! You know how little touches make a big difference, even if they require a bit of extra effort? Well, Bob and his crew understand this completely. Just one example: the original dormer shutters they took down turned out to be just too tired-looking, old and brittle to be put back up on the beautifully rebuilt dormers (though I don't doubt another company might have done so, since the estimate stated they would be reused), but Bob ordered new ones to replace them, and chose a style with just a bit of decorative detail. Compared with the plain originals, this little extra something makes a huge difference. If you want better-than-imagined results, you want A1 Eagle Eye to do your next project!

That's when the price of the wood flooring started going up in price. I questioned the older man about the price, because the price quoted in the store was much lower than the invoice price he sent me. He then sent me another invoice with a lower price, but still not the price provided in the store, even when taxes are figured into the amount. Overall, I think they try to sell you based on where you live and if they think you can afford more, then they will stick it to you. They bid one room sized 14x17 for engineered wood for cost of wood and installation of over 4 grand, compared to two others that bid both around 2,200 and 2,400 in costs to install and materials. I would highly suggest you comparison shop when dealing with this business. From the old man, I heard you did not take into consideration sales tax and I also heard - prices are going up, especially shipping. It was at the end of the project where things went wrong, which forces me to write this review. The marble countertop had waterspots on it. I noticed these spots as soon as the marble was installed. I reported this issue immediately. After having a couple different folks come out to look at these spots I was told it was in the stone. I don't think so. Regardless, during the process of these folks studying the spots, they removed the shine in the middle of the countertop. My mistake was paying Kingdom before this issue was resolved. It's now been 7 months and Kingdom will not return my call. I stopped in the store and they said they would open a new ticket in order to resolve this issue. Usually they were surly and talked more about their experience than doing the work. Well, they were here 4 times before they got it right! And the fourth time it took Fred working side by side them to solve the issues. Because of them, I can only give 4 starts.
