Unfortunately, I can't give a review for this company's work, because I decided not to use them. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for a linen closet build. Mr. Fred came out and took measurements. He promised to get an estimate back to me in 2 days via email (still not sure why it would take two days). I didn't receive the estimate as promised and kept checking (even the spam folder). I felt one week (7 days) was long enough so I contacted Mr. Fred. I reminded him of who I was and he said, "oh yes! I have your estimate in front of me." (Eyes rolling). I communicated my disappointment and told him that it was very unprofessional to not follow up with a potential client; and would be taking my business elsewhere. They have done kitchen cabinets, laundry cabinets, many custom closet cabinets. Other customs cabinets to fit with my kitchen appliances that will fit for my convection oven that need to be flush with the rest of the cabinet. Since former clients had worked with Closet Warehouse in the past and was happy with their experience overall, I decided to give them a call. I was told that the scheduler would not be in until the afternoon and that he would call me later that day. I did not receive a call and had to call back the next day to get an in-home consultation scheduled. I call the office about 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time to see if anyone was on their way and just got voicemail. I let them know that I had to leave if no one was here within 30 minutes of our scheduled appointment. They no showed and did not have the courtesy to call and let me know they would not be coming. read more

From Jerry who came to do the initial measurements and design, to David who is such a delight, and Juan who came to do the installation, they were all so nice and easy to work with for my closet and cabinet needs. They have a ton of experience and I have to give David major kudos for guiding me along the way and providing exceptional customer service from start to finish. Despite all my questions and requests, he was consistent and kind and never missed a beat. They also have their own production and installation crew so the wait times aren't as crazy as other places. They are not responsive in communication so it takes forever to get an estimate from them Then when you make the mistake of scheduling a 30 min appointment with them to take measurements, they do not show up for 2 hours and then when you call, they nonchalant-ly tell you that the guy who is supposed to take measurements is 2 hours from your house... wow, what a waste of time. Very strange. I called to have a guy come out to do an estimate. He was not only an hour late, but he promised to have the quote in two days. Two days have passed and I haven't heard from them. I called to tell them that I was on a time crunch - and needed a quote on the closets of the bedrooms. The guy on the phone passed it on to the guy who actually did the estimate. I remodeled my house completely, including the closets. The person, who came to measure everything sounded very knowledgeable and reassuring (Jeff, but I am not 100% sure). I mentioned that all drawers have to be with self-closing mechanism and was reassured that they install drawers with this feature by default. It is not accurate. It is, actually, extra (which I would be ok to cover). When I contacted the office about this issue, I've been told that there is no way they could give me this information. Well, probably, I am 7y.o. with an extreme imagination. Moving on to the next issue - books shelves. In the description I stated that I will use it for storing books. The guys installed very flimsy shelves that are bending to the point where I can't use them. Once again, contacted the office. They offered me to fix it for additional cost. Well, ok. When I asked what weight the new shelves will be able to hold, no answer was received. At this point I left a multiple messages (to David) and never got back from the office. Would highly recommend making sure you've done your research if you have challenging project. ##### Update scheduled the job for shelving unit. will see how its going to turn out. read more

I used Closet Warehouse do a custom closet at my house. Jerry, the guy who came in to do the estimate offered me a really good deal, much better than other estimates I got by other companies. He also showed me a huge selection of materials and colors to choose from. The whole process took about four days. The closet itself was installed within a day and it looks great, inside and out. We used Closet Warehouse 8 years ago to build and install closets, shelves, drawers etc. for our newly remodeled dressing room. We were very happy with the results. Recently a problem developed with the bottom drawer in the chest they built - the drawer came off the track and stopped sliding. I called the co. to see whether they could come out and repair it (for which I would happily have paid). To my amazement I was told that the work was still under warranty and that there would be no charge. Two men came out the very next day and repaired the drawer on the spot. I was so lucky to have found this business. I priced a few places including Costco (which I usually like to use) before choosing Closet Warehouse. Fred impressed me with his interest in working within my budget and after visiting the shop I liked the quality they offered. So I ordered 2 custom closets which were installed on the date as promised! I then went ahead and ordered a bathroom linen cabinet, which Fred matched exactly in color to my bathroom vanity. Again I was very impressed. I'm now going to use their service for my laundry room and entire garage. You definitely should try them! read more

The customer service, and speed was amazing. The quality and layout really dissapoited me. The shelves looked like they were from home depot and and i ended up with very little hang space, also the shelves stuck out so some of the hang space is covered. One of the shelves also broke already, I haven't even had it for a month. The nice part is I didnt have to calculate and do measuring. I wouldnt say it was inexpensive for the quality. 2 closets, one for a young child came to $2500, if I could have got the materials and measured myself it probably would have been half the price. read more

We met with two other companies before Closet Warehouse, then went to see Jerry at their showroom for an initial consultation. This was for a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling custom bedroom closet. Jerry provided an initial design, then was great in working with us along the way with the various options we threw at him while we figured out what we ultimately wanted and could afford. We went above our original budget trusting that what we came up with would be a long-term product that we use every day. Jerry came out to the house a second time for final measurements, while the installation dates were set, and his co-worker David helped out along the way. While we were hoping for something really nice, the new closet and professional installation actually surpassed our expectations. We can't thank them enough, and we look forward to moving into the new closet and to customize the interior attachments to our needs. Great, solid product - looks like the house was built around it - good job Jerry and David, and installers! Additionally, we did not have the handles/pulls ready, and Jerry has offered to send the crew back at nominal service call fee to install when we are ready - there are 20 pulls, so we want to have it done perfectly. read more

I had wanted a custom desk put in an alcove in my bedroom for years. I had very specific needs which included wanting my large laser printer and computer tower and shredder put inside cabinets with specific pull outs and finishes. When I called to get a quote, Alexandra got back with me and was amazing to work with. She had great ideas and suggestions and really wanted me to get exactly what my vision was. She is very creative and fun to work with. I then decided I wanted a piece of furniture that matched my current bedroom's furniture with filing cabinet drawers and other specific components, but still look like bedroom furniture. She was able to work with the warehouse fabricators to get practically an exact match. The process is not fast when you want so many specifics, however, patience was worth it. I was able to get everything exactly how I wanted it. Working with Alexandra and staff made the process fun. Installation went well and everyone was helpful. I am 100% happy with the result and thinking about doing another project with Closet Warehouse soon. read more

I hope I will be able to update this review to be more positive in the near future, but, for now, I cannot say we have had a good experience. Ours was a VERY SMALL job--a single bookshelf, 5' x 7', with drawers and doors. I would have preferred they tell me, "Sorry, it's too small," than to give me the impression they were interested in my business. Trying to get them to make time to install my "little" job took nearly 6 months. I was calling and emailing them and not hearing back; then calling and emailing again, and again. Finally, they came to install, arriving 2 hours later than scheduled. They had not been prepared for the base molding and had the wrong slides for the drawers. How this could be was beyond me, as I had Fred out to measure, and review the space 2-3 times! The installers left my house to get the new drawer slides and disappeared from 12 noon until 4 p.m.! and I had no idea when they were to come back. I finally called David at the shop and he informed me they had to drive all the way to Santa Ana in Orange County to pick up the slides for my drawers. Really?? After the installers left, I noticed a strange corner at the bottom of the shelf and noticed they had jerry-rigged the bookshelf on 2 slices of wood in an effort to lift it on one side. It was AWFUL! And VERY unstable! And one of the drawers was broken and didn't open on the slider correctly. To top the whole job off, they charged my credit card (1/2 was due upon installation) without checking with me and I got a call from my credit card company in the evening questioning the charge as fraudulent. It has now been 10 days since the bookshelf installation and I can't seem to get anyone to come out to correct the problems. I was told yesterday by David that "no one is available for the next 2 weeks." WOW! Not what I call good customer service. Maybe if you have a BIG job they are more responsive and reliable, but I wouldn't take a chance after what I have experienced. Sadly, Fred is so lovely and kind, but his team is not very detail-oriented to support him. read more
