I contacted quite a few general contractors for my kitchen remodel and found this company. Serge is…read morevery responsive and gave me a detailed price quote but allowed me to customize the quote to meet my budget. He also found a cabinet manufacturer that would give me the look I wanted but within my budget. He allowed me to set up some payments based on completion milestones instead of paying everything up front and he also offers credit! The kitchen is looking amazing and I was very happy and surprised at the level of customization that took mid grade manufactured cabinets to highly custom cabinets once he finished with them. My only advice is to make sure you don't skip the sit down with your GC to discuss your lay out and sign off on it so that you don't have any misunderstandings. I was very busy and missed our scheduled meeting and ended up with a wrong cabinet ordered. Luckily, it was easily switched out for the correct one. Serge also did some extra work for me that I wasn't expecting in order to make up for the brief delay, which was a nice surprise. Serge has a great person doing his carpentry work for both rough in and finish, and he took the waviest of walls and scribed the trim and crown molding so that it looks virtually perfect. I hope to use Tex-Tile Construction again in the near future and was happy to know that he has very reasonably priced subs in several other key areas. Bottom line is that Serge tries very hard to please his customers, is accommodating and he even does some of the work himself when appropriate , which you don't see much anymore.

07-23-2025 Update to update…read moreJohn Less, owner, no longer uses the same phone number and will not return our calls relating to a $5000 floor job they did for us over a year ago. I know they may have a lot of good reviews, but it's the bad ones you need to pay attention to. They sent out a contraction to repair one small spot without telling me it would not be their company showing up. The contractor hired to help fix all of their mistakes/inferior or competent employees. Owner and Manager have admitted that the job that was performed at our house on our garage floor was not done properly and needed another coat of urethane on top. It has taken them over a year to respond just to tire marks that will not come off of our floor. we are very familiar with this type of flooring because we had the same stuff put in our other house 11 years ago and did not have one issue. We also used garaginization to do that floor so we used them again because we were happy with the first time. I spoke to the owner over a month ago." I told him they needed to hire someone to remove our items from our garage and place them back and they were finished correcting their mistakes. He said they would not do that because that was not in their policies. I said you are the owner you have the right to make exceptions. The only thing he's willing to do is put another coating of urethane on top, but expects us to pay to have it moved and stored in a small unit in our driveway all over again, even though it was obviously their mistake. Listen to your voice listen to this review because it can't happen to you. I have posted several notes with text messages and voicemails attached to this review so there's plenty of documentation to back up what I'm saying. If you are an upstanding company and make a mistake, I believe you should do whatever it takes to correct the problem even if that means moving the items in and out of the garage for the homeowner. Why should the homeowner have to hire someone to move the stuff again if they don't wanna do it, then he needs to compensate us for us hiring someone to do it either way he's not going to do anything about it, and expect us to move it in and out again.and do the right thing by the customer, especially when they spend a massive amount of money to get this project done and have admitted there was a mistake. The employees who laid the floor no longer work there I'm not sure why they left but they are definitely incompetent. If they have quality control measures in place they would not have this issue but they do not and they are terrible about communication and returning your calls. The only time I can get them to call me is when I leave an updated review. It's very sketchy when the owner's number belongs to someone else now. Is he hiding? Update Kidd finally came out and looked at floor and admitted it needed another coat of epoxy. I asked them to help remove the items since it was not our error and we already paid to have this service plus a storage unit to do it. He said they don't do that. I asked him to speak with the owner. Kidd said he was going to call my husband back that day since he arrived early at my house. They will not respond to calls or texts for over two weeks. We have been ghosted. Even though they admitted to failing to properly cover the floor, they will not return our calls. Terrible company Doesn't respond to calls or issues needing to be corrected. Rude office employees. Tire marks all over floor that can't be removed without acetone. Another company told me they did not apply enough top coat so tires will consistently leave permanent marks if not removed without acetone acetone. Didn't respond for over a year.

We will definitely call them when we have other projects.

Greg lives by the principle of overpromise and underdeliver, which is the opposite of the customer…read moreservice provided by most businesses. When we first met him he promised his main guy (Carlos) would be the one doing the project but in actuality he has Carlos's son and daughter (both untrained, don't speak English and clearly still learning how to do basic contracting work such as tile work and painting) do 90-95% of the work in an unsupervised fashion. Greg or Carlos did not oversee or check the work each day thus we were left with a poor paint job (no tape was placed on baseboards or crown molding around doors such that there are splotches of gray paint on our white crown molding), uneven laying of tile (you can clearly see that in the pics posted), a trim that Greg chose on his own without asking what we wanted because he was too impatient, holes in our bedroom and bathroom walls that were not repaired, huge gaps behind the trim around the shower and areas that weren't retextured, a lack of waterproofing of the shower which many well respected contractors consider industry standard to prevent water leaking into walls and foundation, and just a poor job aesthetically overall. Greg had the audacity to charge me over $10,000 for work that will need to be redone including $3500 which I paid for custom cabinets that he cancelled and is now keeping the money for himself. If you read his other Yelp reviews you can clearly see that Greg has a pattern of losing his temper, not having good communication and of overcharging for shoddy work that is unsupervised and performed by low cost laborers who are not well trained and only speak Spanish. You will find that the issues in many of his reviews are the same. Greg's mood would vacillate from day to day and from hour to hour. He chewed out the gentleman helping us out at the tile shop on several occasions. My fiancé also observed him yelling at his own workers at the top of his lungs when they mistakenly tried to get something out of his truck meant for another job. He also did not confirm our tile order as he promised he would do thus leaving us without grout and trim which he then purchased himself without consulting us thus choosing trim which did not match anything in our bathroom. He actually charged us a $550 design fee though we did all the design ourselves. He did not offer any advice or expertise in the area of design whatsoever. Because Greg himself doesn't speak Spanish (but his laborers only speak Spanish) many things had to be redone though we had clearly told him what we wanted. He then charged us for these "redos" because of his own inability to communicate with his workers. His workers had to re-paint and re-patch several times even though things were clearly communicated to Greg initially by my fiancé. His predictable response whenever he forgets things is to blame the customer and say that he was never told. We detailed the issues we had with the work performed and even had Greg sign a sheet but Greg did not choose to rectify them and instead chose to abandon the job. He later told me he signed the sheet with a fake signature so that he could plausibly deny having promised anything. Greg only cares about getting paid on the back of labor performed by others while doing a sub par job. His lack of integrity is apparent the longer you work with him because you will catch him in lies and inconsistencies and the version of Greg that you will get once he has money in his hands is very different than the version you get in the beginning. Greg is a con artist. He does not have any expertise in the work he has others perform. He also does not like to admit when he's made a mistake and gets defensive and blames others (the customer, his workers etc). Where there is so much smoke, there has to be fire. Greg is so predictable that he will invariably have a defensive response to this review as he did to all of his other poor reviews. Many of the attached pics speak for themselves.

Unfortunately, there's really not a whole lot of items on sale. It was still fun browsing the aisles with items I never knew existed. Ladies in there were very helpful if you are in for a specific item. They'll gladly help you where to find it or guide you for an alternative if it's not in store. It's still a definite stop for my organized peeps to maybe find a deal.
