The ladies at this grooming place are the sweetest, so gentle, patient and great with dogs. I loved their demeanor and professionalism. A few days ago I brought my dog here for a haircut. They usually do an okay job but I guess this day they were busy/rushing. I wish they would have just asked to reschedule on a day where they had more time. When I walked in they stated that my dog had knots in her hair and would cut the hair shorter I didn't mind because I understood her hair was a little long. However when I received my dog back she literally almost had no hair left! On top of that they decided to leave all the hair on her ears still but completely skinned the rest of her body. Not to mention I paid 90 dollars for them to shave my dog bald which I could have done for free at home myself. I was very unhappy. But i didn't see my dog until I paid. NOT RECOMMENDED....READ THIS, THEN FIND ANOTHER SALON: First, I had made an initial visit to Clips N' Snips for bathing our Lab. Staff advised me that I must first produce a Rabies certificate. I then showed them the metal Rabies tag that is always attached to our dog's collar, issued by the City of Clifton. SURPRISINGLY, the salon would not accept the metal tag as proof of Rabies vaccination! I was then asked to produce the original Rabies (paper) certificate prior to her being bathed. I returned home and emailed the Rabies certificate to the salon requesting that I be called to confirm receipt of same; THE SALON NEVER MADE THAT CALL. I then returned to the salon, keeping an early afternoon appointment. Note that, in the interim, the salon sent me several text msgs indicating that I would be billed if I were a NO SHOW! While at the salon, I attempted to hand a paper copy of the Rabies certificate to staff who refused same stating that "We don't keep paper here....". I was then showed a document that contained an extremely lengthly paragraph; clearly a form to remove all liability from the salon in the event of the pet owner attempting to file a claim! At first, I was uncomfortable with the idea that potential harm could occur to our dog; I eventually agreed to accept the form as she did need the bath. At this time, staff was ready to take my dog in for her bath. I mentioned that I would wait in the salon. However, I was told that their policy prohibits pet owners from waiting in the salon while the pet is in their care! All of this had quickly become unacceptable for me. Leaving my dog with a groomer is no different than leaving my 3 YO Granddaughter alone with the doctor! Not a single chair or platform for sitting existed in the salon. Staff indicated that Covid19 was their concern. I offered to retrieve my CDC vaccination card from my car to show proof of vaccination; they refused to see it and asked me not to wait in the salon! At that juncture, I asked that the consent form be destroyed and that I decided I would not be leaving our dog with them based on all of the restraints and conditions shown to me by Clips N' Snips. I also indicated that I intended to write a review for the purpose of alerting other pet parents of this experience. With respect to the "favorable" reviews, I am hesitant to believe their validity as a good amount of the verbiage contains details that only could have been written about if the pet owner witnessed the grooming. Additionally, look carefully at the posting dates for other reviews as there are barely any that were written and posted this year. read more

I waited 2 months for this appointment, im very disappointed and angry and her attitude was horrible. I cant believe these people are in business. If i could give zero stars thats what they deserve. Then proceeds to have a screaming match with me on the phone. Save your money, time, and your pet being traumatized by these people, and just dont go here theres better places and definitely not worth the wait. Professionals would not allow any pet to leave looking like this, you did not say you started shaving him, did not give your professional opinion that you should continue you just asked for 40 dollars to continue. so dont even. I brought in my puppy Olivia for a puppy trim and bath. She was well taken care of and looked adorable afterwards! It only took about two hours so it was also a great turnaround. I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to share that the groomer noticed that my puppy had a waxy build up in her ears and suggested that I go to the vet. Turns out she had an ear infection! After doing careful research I came across this hidden gem. I just got a new puppy and was worried to just take her anywhere. After reading all the positive comments and seeing the beautiful after photos I fell in love. They treat my Ruby with care and you can tell. She doesn't come out anxious or nervous. Wow! Found this place here on yelp and I can't rave enough about it! Lola is 5 months (with rapidly growing fur) SHES also a westie! It was important to me to find a place that knew how to groom westies. Lola isn't a show dog or anything but we did want her to look like a real Westie! (We've seen some botched grooms) anyway. It was so easy to make an appointment and the staff here LOVE dogs. They came out to meet our baby and give her lots of kisses (pretty sure she didn't even realize we left) we told them what we wanted, they gave input and three hours later we had our girl back. When I came to pick Khloe up she was so beautiful and smelling so good. With all the matted hair on Khloe I was expecting the worse because Sanae told me she might have to go really low and I didnt want Khloe cut low. Sanae told me she would do her best but she did better than her best. Khloe was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be back here. Khloe was very happy when I came to get her loving on Sanae. I took my dog Coco for grooming on the 11th of May. My previous experiences had been good. Only had a suggestion this day, not shave so close at the genital area. Last time it was awful. My dog had razor burn and was very uncomfortable for days. The lady was not friendly. Asked me to take off his harness and leash, which I did. Then I see a woman come out to pick him up with a dirty leash, Places it around his neck in a very nasty way. I never put anything around his neck. He's not used to it. So he gets agitated and obviously it bothered her and nastily pulls on it very hard and drags him him inside. I think this is abusive. I did not say a word, but I was fuming when I left him. This was done in my presence. I am concerned by the negative moody attitude which lead to the mishandling of my Coco. I wonder how my Coco is treated when I'm not there, during the many hours it unfortunately takes to groom him. It took 4 1/2 hours this last time. I know,, he's not the only appointment. Go here for kind, gentle treatment of your pup. My dog Jace is a 65 lb rescue and very nervous. Even a car passing can be too much for him. They were so sweet, loving, and went beyond the minimum standard of care. First off, they make sure all the dogs who come in are up to date on your shots which was awesome. Then, the professional standards for bathing, clipping, and drying were high. They took the extra time to blow dry him incrementally because of his nerves. My mother is a physical therapist, and they have often held him for a bit extra so she could have time to pick him up, for no charge. These are good people, come here. I waited until our dogs 2nd time here to write a review. We have a big old Rescue Collie with a history. Grooming has been nearly impossible and all groomers insisted he needed to be muzzled. LOL, I went with Argan Oil because I'm afraid if I picked pumpkin spice I would eat my baby right up. He smells wonderful and am happy I went with the Argan as his coat is super soft. The girls were also very sweet to him. When I got there to pick him back up, he was just roaming around with them like he owns the place.
