I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. After my dog Ace's grooming appointment, we discovered two bald spots that were not present before the visit. When we politely reached out to inquire about what may have happened, we were not looking for a refund or discount--only an honest explanation. Unfortunately, the response we received was dismissive and suggested the issue occurred at home, without any willingness to acknowledge that it may have happened during the grooming process. What was most upsetting was not the mistake itself, as we understand accidents can happen, but the lack of accountability and transparency. As pet owners, we place a great deal of trust in those who care for our animals. Ace is a beloved member of our family, and we expected open and honest communication regarding any concerns that arose during his visit. While we have appreciated the grooming services provided in the past, this experience has left us disappointed and questioning whether our trust was well placed. She is booked solid so taking in 3 dogs at once is difficult. Precious opened her boutique for our pups on their day off to accommodate our schedule and has been such a wonderful groomer to our dogs. She takes great patience to de-tangle their matted fur, and only shave when it's necessary while still maintaining their distinct styles. My dogs are happy and never trembling visiting her and I know they are in good hands. They come out looking fresh and smelling so clean. These guys are such a wonderful local business to support!! I hope they expand so more dogs can get the attentive pampering from her! read more

SO happy that we've finally found an amazing groomer!!! Precious and her team are incredibly kind, efficient and so good at what they do! What I especially love is that they're respectful of your time. When we dropped our dog off for her grooming, Precious said she'd give us a call in 2 hours when she was done. She called us exactly 2 hours later and we were able to head over to pick up our girl. When we picked her up, she was all done up with bows on her ears and a bow tie. I thought it was such a cute little touch! Really, really looking forward to continuing to bring Winnie here for years to come! read more

Rokko was well taken care off at this Black owned groom shop! I was in need of a new groomer and had been following precious pawprints on Instagram for some time now. I love the fact that the owner has a cage-free environment. So if your pup is "extra" they have some freedom lol. I filled out the appointment inquiry and got a call in less then 24 hours to book a time to come in. A soon as I entered, I was greeted by the owner (smiling under her mask). She immediately knowledged Rokko and even showed him to her team. Transferring all good energy. The facility is clean, newly renovated, and well lit. The groomers also kept their work stations clear. The most unprofessional and unhelpful place I have ever encountered. I go to the website to book an appt it says you have to send me an email with the rabies Information I send the email. I get a call that she did not get it, I send it again . She said she still did not get it. She said send me a screen shot, I sent her a screenshot of my send folder. She gets the screenshot, but she said that just proves I sent an email not the documents. Offered to send her the documents via text, she does not accept the documents via text. Advised I can drop it off in person. She doesn't accept that either!! Asked if she checked her junk folder she said no... she just checks her email, someone should tell her, her junk folder is in her email acct, I asked is there an alternative email I can send it to no. She said if she doesn't get it she has to cancel the appt by 2. At this point I do not know how to give this business my money. And I'm literally begging AS THE CUSTOMER, and looking for work around a as the customer! I told her to cancel my mf appt NOW not to wait till 2 because this whole novice customer service experience I do not want to bring my dogs and give this place any of my money. I was happy when this placed opened a few months ago as it's conveniently located within walking distance from our home. The establishment is clean and modern. This was my puppy's second time ever being groomed, so I was a bit nervous. The owner was warm and friendly and my puppy quickly took to her. When I picked him up he looked like a beautiful cuddly teddy bear! My children were over the moon when they saw him. Her prices are fair and reasonable. I was quoted a 2hr time frame but he was actually ready earlier. The salon is very professional and clean. I like the online booking and the automatic booking confirmation. What a great experience we had with Precious Pawprints. I wasn't sure what to expect because I have never brought a dog to be groomed before, but now I know I have nothing to worry about! My dog is large and has short hair, so we weren't looking for any fur trimming or cutting. We went with the Bath and Brush (full service) option, which our dog really needed after being adopted from a shelter. When I picked him up, he smelled SO good, was so soft, and was super happy! Looks like he made a couple of pals while he was there. He was so well taken care of; you can tell the staff is really kind and caring towards the dogs. I was also educated about how often to have his nails trimmed, which I found extremely helpful. We'll definitely return and I'll be sure to recommend Precious Pawprints to my friends with dogs! read more

Never ever again!!! Whether during or after COVID!!! I made an appointment, my husband was 3 minutes late and the owner calls me with a nasty and short attitude telling me about his tardiness. As I was at work myself, I cut her off and cancelled it. My husband arrived in the interim and she told him that I had already cancelled and so she couldn't take the dog. Omitting the fact that her gross incompetence was the reason why. Folks, 3 minutes during the midst of a pandemic does not a problem create. A problem is created by ignorant business owners who can't even maintain a stable staff. Her staff attrition is horrific. I will never, my sisters will never, and anyone I can tell will never give her our business again. I do not need to be scolded by this owner who obviously cannot staff and attend to the customer service protocols that make a successful business!!!! A true mess!!! read more

I brought my puppy to this shop twice, and both times the person who spoke to me talked at me rather than to me and did not listen to the specific instructions given by my fiancé. His legs cut uneven and she shaved his tail which we told her not to because it needs to grow out. This groomer is incompetent and rude. Never again will I let my dogs hair be butchered by this place. read more

For the Owner first & foremost I have no idea what your personal business you have with your employees that is not my concern nor is it my business. I wrote my review off basic common sense & observation. My concern was for other the safety of my animals & others that bring there animals in as well. But if you have these kinds of problems. I'll just take my business elsewhere clearly your establishment is unfit for customers & animals. You should really invest in some chairs my dear & more safety for people's pets & customers. Someone could have a bigger dog & not like to be so close to other peoples dogs & turn & try to bite another patrons animal or the owner could get bite as well from trying to break up the dogs from fighting. Got my dog's nailed trimmed/clipped at Precious Pawprints today & had such a great experience. I emailed the owner about a nail trim & she got back ASAP & I was able to bring my pup in the next business day no appointment required. The business itself is so cutely decorated & very clean. To say my dog is difficult during a nail trim is an understatement & I was so happy to find a place that it was done w/ no complaints or commentary. She also advised me on a nail trimming schedule that is ideal for my dog's coat/breed which was great. We were in and out in 5 minutes. There was only 1 other (very well-behaved) dog there in the process of getting groomed I don't think they overbook, if you are concerned about multiple dogs being on-site with yours. BTW parking is always pretty easy around that area of Bloomfield as well which is great. read more

Less than one star because they never showed up to my appointment. They said on the phone I had an appointment at 8am. They even went out of their way to say that if I were to show up at 810am they would not honor my appointment. Odd interaction number 1. I show up at 758am for my 8am appointment and no one is here. I decided to walk my dog up and down the street a bit until 815am when I finally call and ask if I still have an appointment. They tell me they tried to call me to confirm three times, (false: I never received a call from them, not once) and therefor they cancelled my appointment. Beyond rude customer service. I can see every call made to my phone in the last week. Also, in a customer facing business you would think that they would be intelligent enough to leave their customers a voicemail from said three times they tried to call me. My puppy is 7 months old. I have about 12+ years of grooming ahead of me. This business will be taken elsewhere. read more
