We stumbled upon this place and brought our dog here. When my husband was dropping him off, he was explaining to them what kind of Cut he wanted them to do. He said just a simple trim nothing too short. The woman looked at him and flat out, said "I have no clue what you want", And she called for somebody else to come over and yelled "This guy is asking for something and I don't know what he wants." - In a very rude tone. Mind you, we are brand new customers, this is our first time there. Our dog is a golden retriever and so he's the happiest dog you'll ever meet. Because it was our first time I called an hour later to check up and see what his status was and how he's doing. The woman that worked there (didn't get her name but she was a very tough and rude woman) was very mean as if I was bothering her when I called. I simply was asking for an update to see when my dog would be done, but she was not very polite. After picking him up, we noticed that he was not Himself. He was pulling us to leave. When we brought him home, he was very quiet and not his happy self. A month later we had another appointment booked and as we were walking close to the door We noticed our dog, pulling us the opposite way- He was basically telling us that he did not want to go inside. That was a huge red flag for me. I knew something happened during his first grooming Session And I'm glad we trusted our instinct the second time and didn't go through that door. Unfortunately This is not the first time I've heard of an experience like this from This place. 2 other friends who have dogs stopped going there too because of similar stories. I don't know what happens behind closed doors at Studio Groomers, But all I know is that if they treat humans like myself so mean and rude, then I can't imagine how they treat dogs. I am really concerned about this place and their staff. Please, if you're reading this be cautious before going here if you care about your pet.

I contemplated not writing this because I don't like the thought of taking away someone's…read morelivelihood or hurting a small business but I truly cannot stand the thought of this happening to someone else's baby. We took our dog here randomly because we couldn't get an appointment at our regular before the holidays. I will say I was able to book an appointment quickly and obviously did not read the reviews. I asked for a simple bath, deshedding, and the usual ear cleaning. We have a mix with medium hair, not a malamute but not a pitty length. He was not matted, not was he shedding anymore than normal (not clumpy or undercoat). He has a gorgeous coat that we frequently get complimented on and is well taken care of. I took him out to get groomed in the afternoon and when I picked him up, I saw that he was chained to a grooming stand by himself with no more than 4 inches slack. I didn't think much of it at the time, since I know he doesn't go into a crate easily, paid and left. Upon getting home I noticed he smelled great and was clean. After a day I noticed he wouldn't eat and was flinching and whining when I would touch or pet him. I rushed him to the vet thinking something was seriously wrong. After spending over $1200 at the vet for an exam, testing, and multiple pain meds, we realized that he had been brushed so hard on his back that they tore skin. After a couple days, and now 2 weeks, he has a HORRIFYING amount of LARGE scabs up and down his spine from the very top of his head to the base of his tail. We concluded that this was from the deshedding brush. There are no scabs on his stomach or sides so I cannot show photos and because he is black, they're nearly impossible to see when I try to photograph. I cannot bear the fact that my sweet boy was brushed so hard for god knows how long that he was bleeding and in pain. This was not a mistake that went unnoticed. This is pure animal cruelty and they are honestly lucky I am not pressing charges. They should not be allowed to touch another animal. Lord knows what else goes on behind closed doors. Please do not take your babies here. I am devastated for my boy.

On our 4th or 5th visit our dog came home matted and clearly not brushed out so my husband called to speak with someone about it. The woman who answered the phone was extremely short, unapologetic and when he asked to speak to the manager she said they weren't available. I waited until 10:30 and called to see if she was ready there was no answer so I walked back to pick her up. I was told by same young man that it would be an additional 25 minutes since she was not ready yet. I explained it takes me 15 minutes to walk here and I would wait. I asked how far along she was thinking if she was wet or needed to be brushed I could do that at home. At that point I I found out she was in cage the entire two hours and not even started. He stated they were backed up but they were working on a dog in back to add insult to injury the person who came in behind me initially was picking up her dog. No excuse could be given to me why my dog was still in the cage not started since I purposely made her the first appointment of the day. I took my dog home without being groomed.I have used them previously feel this never should have happened they never even apologized just said have a nice day as I walked out what an insult. She takes great patience to de-tangle their matted fur, and only shave when it's necessary while still maintaining their distinct styles. My dogs are happy and never trembling visiting her and I know they are in good hands. They come out looking fresh and smelling so clean. These guys are such a wonderful local business to support!! I hope they expand so more dogs can get the attentive pampering from her!

They are exceptionally sweet and never send our pups home with a chopped up cut! We had used a local service who was rude and apparently not equipped to handle scared pups! Review to follow, trust me! I highly recommend this place and suggest you book regularly as sometimes they are backed up for months! If you know your pup's shedding season then I recommend you call months in advance to schedule for the correct timing. Especially large breeds. Never had a choppy service or complaint. Parking is very difficult, but you can double park for a quick moment or in the yellow with hazards on just to drop off! I now choose no other groomer, but them!
