If you make an appointment and miss it automatically you are charged. If you are late to an appointment you are either turned down and charged or scolded by a secretary or Dr for being late. However they can waste as much time of mine as possible with no consequences. They have no respect for their patients if this is the case. We have to respect their time yet they do not respect ours. I will send to it my mother never ever goes here again if I have to pay out of pocket for somewhere else.

The physician ordered the test through Quest and sent me a copy of the lab order. In the physician's email, he stated that I can go to any quest lab to have the blood drawn and I can also just walk into a Quest lab without an appointment. However, the lab order stated "Making an appointment before you arrive is strongly encouraged. Appointments will receive priority and walk-ins may be accommodated during the next available appointment opening, but cannot be guaranteed same-day service." I felt more reassured to have an appointment and went to their website: www.QuestDiagnostics.com/appointment to make one. I saw the closest Quest location was 1524 Atwood Ave, 1St Fl Suite 133 Johnston, RI 02919-3228 with availabilities and chose which time worked best for me. I received email and text reminders about the appointment. The Quest location was easy to locate and there are plenty of parking spots. I went into the building and found Suite 133. I used the check-in kiosk and then I was called into one of the rooms. The technician was friendly and wished me luck on my new job. Four days later, I received an email that my lab results were complete and they've been added to my account. I logged in my MyQuest® account to see my results.

There was one person in front of me and there was 2 techs I literally didn't wait longer than a couple minutes, Denise did my bloodwork she was very gentle she also checked me in and was very kind. The place is clean and plenty of parking. I would go here if I were in the area again. Very nice workers here and I was in and out I love that. Oh and I dislike needles very much- I made Denise aware of that and she spoke to me the whole time without even scaring me or hurting me.

I approached counter and staff member said, take a number, wouldn't even look up. Ok, so I became seated, and before I knew it, there was like 20 customers there, several walked out. Not sure what happened, but no one was being called. After waiting 15 minutes, an elderly couple approached the counter and when the lady complained about the wait, the employee started yelling and called for security. This employee was way out of line, she started the yelling. As it was finally my turn to be waited on, I waited half an hour, someone was called before me, I told the receptionist who had made a mistake in who was to go next. This location is at 1454 South County Trail, definitely will not be returning.

I knocked and after a few minutes a window opened. I felt as though I was interrupting them. After the initial greeting, I was instruct to sit in the adjacent room. There were many chairs, but having had blood drawn many time I knew what chair I should sit in without instruction. The technician soon cam in while still chatting with the other technician who was still in the greeting area. My blood was drawn while they continue to converse with each other and certainly not paying much attention to their patient. They were even criticizing their employer referring to Lifespan as "cheap". When the drawn was down the technician removed the needle not looking at the injection site, but rather looking towards the person he was talking to. Withdrawing the needle was extremely painful. The medical/office space located at 180 Corliss Street in Providence, RI has multiple businesses…read more It is conveniently by Route I-95 and in downtown Providence. The parking lot has plenty of spaces. On the 1st floor, there is a directory that lists the suite numbers of the businesses such as, Anchor Medical Associates, Lifespan Laboratories, Men's Health Center, and Infectious Diseases Outpatient Clinics in Rhode Island. The Lifespan Laboratories hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:30pm and is located on the 2nd floor, Suite D. Anchor Medical Associates is my PCP so I usually go there first and then have bloodwork done at the Lifespan Laboratories right around the corner. When you walk in, you first pull a ticket number and then your number will be called by the receptionist. The receptionist will check you in and I gave her my lab requisition form. Within 5 minutes, I was called in and blood was drawn. Phlebotomist was very pleasant and process was quick and seamless. There was no bruise at the blood drawn site.

She used a needle one size down from the one she normally would use in order for me to not feel it. You know, I didn't! I was very thankful! She also took the time to explain the glucose test process. The office is very clean and well kept. There is some reading material, but nothing that interested me so my suggestion is to bring something to read if you think you will be awhile. My ONLY reason for the 4 stars is because they are not open weekends. I had come here Saturday morning as to try and avoid interrupting my work week and the hours, which are posted right on the door, only show Monday-Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm. So the only time I could do this was a weekday morning.

Also, if there's an issue with locating a vein they don't poke around. A simple butterfly (think that's the name) will be inserted. Rarely that's the case with me lbut it's happened at hospitals and other facilities - the constant poking with no blood. Here they remember and she finds the correct spot first try everytime. The intake is a bit lengthy but they do it right and unlike East Side they do it in front of you and explain any questions before you initial or sign. Again other places treat you like a deli order and you sit in the waiting room until they do the paperwork and surprise surprise, I've gotten bills for things my insurance didn't cover at East Side where Quest will look and make sure all is well. Even with the short hours - I'm giving this 5 stars because of the quality of service. Besides, I usually have to fast anyway so it's not an issue. It's a walk in & appointment so those that get angry, make an appointment.

What inspired this review today is the hours online say closes at 6pm on Monday. The person who gave me a cardiogram was very kind and personable. The next person, who took the chest X-ray, was very nice, also. The nurse practitioner, also very nice and knowledgeable, then called Miriam Hospital to say I was coming to get blood tests I needed that are not done at Ocean State. She sent me with my printed cardiogram and a CD with my X-ray results. This was my second experience here and thankfully both visits were handled extremely well.

Natick Rd. Same building as Concentra Urgent Care. No appointment necessary. The entrance is under the drive through portico facing Macy's (sort of). Nice to have the overhead protection to drop off someone on a rainy day. There is plenty of parking in front of the building. As soon as you enter, straight ahead a few steps lead down. If you need to use the elevator, it's to the right of the steps. The waiting area for the lab is at the bottom of the steps and to the left. Take a number by the check-in window and have a seat. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. When your number is called, hand your lab slip, ID and insurance card to the receptionist. Reception will log you in, be sure they have all your insurance info in the system and add the ordered tests which will print labels for phlebotomy staff. A phlebotomist will come to the door and call your first name when it's your turn. During my first visit a student phlebotomist did my blood draw under the supervision of the staff phlebotomist. She did a great job and I was in and out quickly. The room where they do the draws is brightly lit and very clean. Staff were all very friendly and the receptionist really helped me out with insurance. If this is a convenient location for you, it seems like a good choice. Now, let's see if my insurance carrier agrees.

She said she knew I was there but she was doing something. There was one other person in the waiting room. I have never waited that long there with more people in the waiting room.
