Another 5 minutes go by and staff comes out and says I can come in. Now they have gone past my number and I say you forgot # 45. The response I received was very unprofessional: "you weren't listening, we called your number!" I say: "no, you didn't?" Very Rude! Then I get from the front desk staff (both of them): "whatever!" I am a Frontline Healthcare Worker and definitely don't deserve to be treated this way. I certainly will talk to Lifespan Customer Service and my Doctor about this bad experience.

With my medical issues, I'm regularly getting tests done, such as blood drawn. So it's important I find a solid, respectable lab with moving. The two ladies were so sweet and it was an intern who drew the blood. Didn't even feel it and she was better than most phlebotomists I've seen. I was in and out within minutes, then walked across the street to my fav cafe and got a bite. Absolutely perfect. Two thumbs way up.

The parking lot has plenty of spaces. On the 1st floor, there is a directory that lists the suite numbers of the businesses such as, Anchor Medical Associates, Lifespan Laboratories, Men's Health Center, and Infectious Diseases Outpatient Clinics in Rhode Island. The Lifespan Laboratories hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:30pm and is located on the 2nd floor, Suite D. Anchor Medical Associates is my PCP so I usually go there first and then have bloodwork done at the Lifespan Laboratories right around the corner. When you walk in, you first pull a ticket number and then your number will be called by the receptionist. The receptionist will check you in and I gave her my lab requisition form. Within 5 minutes, I was called in and blood was drawn. Phlebotomist was very pleasant and process was quick and seamless. There was no bruise at the blood drawn site.

I've found that the staff working this location are nice and the process is not painful nor traumatic. It has a nice private parking lot and the ESCL is located downstairs. Every time I've been, there is almost no wait and I am in/out very quickly. They will send you copies of your results by email or Post office, just need to request it.

One was sitting in the lab chair having a conversation with the other behind a desk. I pulled a number, sat down and waited. Waited for almost 15 min. I was the ONLY patient in the lab. I was never called. I left and went to my doctor's office in the next building over to request a printed request for blood work. The receptionist tried to get me to go back to the lab. I steadfastly refused. I was handed the printout. I drove to Quest Labs, was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I found out East Side Labs charges more and Quest is the preferred lab for my insurance. Good, because I will never go back.

First visit ever for a Dexa scan, purchased full price (not under a groupon or anything). The…read moreattendant, Rocky was super personable! The 'office' is built in the end of a small strip of shops which is not particularly nice. Arrived for my appt and Rocky did the dexa scan and then the second test i signed up for. From the lobby you move aside a large curtain to the room with the scanning machine, a lot of extra space, a couch and a large TV screen. 6-8 minutes for the scan and then was led into the back room, a small and very beat up space, for the second test. Which also went fine, and took only a few minutes. While I was resting for that test is when I noticed how gross the space was. It seems clear that whoever owns the location just run the operation there for a long time while investing zero in the upkeep or cleanliness. Was led back to the second room where I was given a presentation/ summary of my test results - all within clear earshot of another person waiting in the lobby. This is IMO a HIPAA violation but just seems plain wrong to do. I might try a dexa scan again one day as Im not sure I believe the results were accurate but 100% would not go back to this beat up place.

I went to DexaFit Seekonk for a DEXA scan along with a VO2 max test. The Dexa scan went well, i am…read morehappy with the test and the results and appreciated the time we spent walking through it on screen. The VO2 max test surprised me. I am not sure if it was accurate or done incorrectly. I have been lifting weights and running my whole life, with the addition of distance running the last 6 years. I have trained for and run 6 half marathons and the boston marathon. My garmin has my VO2 max estimated at 49, and my max heart rate in my workouts and races gets into the 180s. The test said my VO2 max is 35 and my max heart rate is 151, and gave me heart rate zones with that being the max so its very low and not useful for me to do anything with. I was hoping to validate or get more accurate depictions if my heart rate zones vs what garmin estimates with my watch and garmin heart rate chest strap. The person who administered the test was friendly and great to meet with. **UPDATE** DexaFit offered to re-test me for free. I appreciate this gesture. The re-test put me at 52 which aligns with what I expected. Great customer service thank you!
