I had an appointment scheduled with them and then just a couple days before my appointment I received a message stating "WE NEED TO CANCEL THIS APPT. Our clinic is no longer seeing general dermatology patients effective immediately. We are referring patient to schedule with Dermatology Specialists of Spokane, Rockwood Dermatology downtown and Dr. William Wray, north Spokane." Highly unprofessional and with little regard to their prospective patients. Don't waste your time. read more

As a follow up to my previous post and after doing some research I learned that a majority of the drug/supply was probably from Neostim which is a high end expensive skin replacement drug that apparently has had revisions from Medicare effective 1/2026 because providers were profiteering on how they were billing Medicare. In previous Mohs procedures I was sent home with some gauze and bandages. This procedure required many returns ( at least 4) weekly after the initial procedure to apply more skin replacement. I'm guessing this is why the charge was so excessive. It appears Medicare made the necessary changes and probably a factor why this clinic is no longer doing regular dermatology patients and only doing plastic surgery. read more

Clinic 5C closed their practice to general dermatology patients mid December with absolutely no advance notice to patients who were currently under their care for various dermatology issues, including Mohs procedures. My wife was essentially put into the position of having to find a new care giver to address her dermatology issue Clinic 5C was providing treatment for. While it's certainly the right of a provider to determine their own business practices, it is extremely unprofessional to drop specific services without adequate notice and a professional transition. Especially Mid-treatment. In my wife's case, she needed specific treatment performed as part of the follow-up to her procedure. Trying to find and schedule a new provider has been a difficult proposition. Many are scheduled clear into May. Most of the problems we are now experiencing could have been avoided with adequate planning and notification. read more

No statement was written with intent to defame Desiree Barclift or others at Clinic 5C.* Clinic 5C has never reached out to me personally to correct their horrible customer service practices. They have never offered me a reimbursement for the product Desiree Barclift said was the best option for my situation and said at the time would be reimbursed by my insurance company. This product is $1200. i was given the hard sell about the product. The company that produces this product stated that Desiree must fill out paperwork and submit it to them for the product to be reimbursed. That is their standard practice, which makes sense and is typical in dealing with most medical offices. Desiree outright refused to do any paperwork for me to be reimbursed. It seems that clinic 5C is more concerned with getting a bad review publicly than it is in serving their patients honestly, morally, or ethically. At this point, the singular manner in which I would consider this issue resolved would be that Clinic 5C reimburse me the full amount of the product directly. For many reasons I do not usually post or write reviews , mainly because I have worked in a service industry my whole life and I find it rare when one truly rises above what is expected of him to the exceptional. In my entire 58 plus years of world travel in a luxury field , never have I come across ANYONE like Dr Cameron Chesnut and his team at Clinic 5 c. I met Dr chesnut by accident ( serendipity) over instagram as I followed a world famous surgeon and had even sought that surgeons advice. I did not really feel seen or heard as I am just a normal guy not a celebrity not uber wealthy. I am horrible at social media but I sent a private message to Dr Chesnut fully thinking a staff member would write me back , not the doctor himself but I learned over time it is he who comments and responds to all patients. My trust and belief grew over 5 months of pretty constant communication until I decided to book an online consult. I can say without compare that in no relationship be it romantic or professional have I ever been listened to and seen as well. From my crappy phone 3000 miles away he zoned in on the one area that I had dreamed of having corrected and anyone other than an artist would have noticed it. I had my surgery 2 years ago May 14 and my results are spectacular and not " done " looking at all. I stayed at the clinic for a week to heal before my stitches were taken out. Because of the advanced healing modalities I flew out one week later and was able to resume seeing people for work and fun two days after landing back in NYC. From the receptionist to the private nurses to the office managers, everyone became my friend and I am still in private contact with many of them as friends and I send Dr Chesnut little notes every day. I even consulted his flawless eye on a new bed covering for my apartment !!!! Dr Chesnut and the staff make us patients feel like family and it is authentic not forced or required. It is a magical place to heal and to reclaim or own your own beauty both inside and out as you are among a supportive team. To end , I have ugly cried once in my life and that was my grandmother's passing who was my best friend. I had an appointment with this clinic scheduled for Thursday, September 26th. I scheduled it months in advance. I took time off of work. A few days before, the office called and demanded I reschedule to an earlier time in the day. I said I was unavailable because I have work. They initially accepted that but then called me on Wednesday, September 25th, and said "the provider won't be in the office." It turns out the doctor didn't want to stick around till the afternoon. This is shameful. This office doesn't honor their appointments, and they don't keep their word. Book with a specialist who will care about you; this office isn't it. read more

I have had eight skin cancer surgeries over the past 22 years. The only times the cancer returned to the same spot were the two most recent surgeries at Clinic 5C. I was referred there for Mohs surgery on my nose in June of 2021. They have an impressive website which showcases the founder and lead doctor, Cameron Chesnut. Only you are not getting Dr. Chesnut, you are getting a physician who is being trained by Dr. Chesnut on Mohs surgery, and is perhaps not very experienced in that technique, and as with any educational setting there are good students and not-so-good students. The surgery was two hours and the doctor talked the entire time, but not to me and not about the surgery. Instead, she had a running conversation with the attendant about shopping, social life, etc. I felt like an afterthought. She did proclaim at the end, "Well, I got it all!". On my second follow-up visit, at which Dr. Chesnut was present, I was asked how I felt about the procedure and I was unsure, voicing some questions about swelling and lingering redness. Thereupon the doctor who performed the surgery punched up a photo of halfway through the operation when my nose was splayed open with a bloody canal in the center and says, "Well it looks better than this!". I mean, who does that? It was juvenile and unprofessional. When a new cancer spot appeared on my nose in 2022 I was again referred to Clinic 5C. I specifically asked that the previous physician NOT perform this surgery, but she had already moved on. The second surgery seemed more professional, but evidently he also "missed a spot", and he is also no longer at 5C. I am currently looking at additional Mohs surgeries at the same two sites to hopefully "get it all" this time, but I will not be returning to Clinic 5C. I'm not saying that the doctors who pass through 5C are not all proficient, just that it seems to be a bit of a crapshoot. Caveat emptor. read more

No statement was written with intent to defame Merrick Brosky, Dr. Chesnut or those at Clinic 5C.* First off, getting the preliminary paperwork to be considered a candidate required multiple follow up phone calls, voicemails are not returned. I waited 2 weeks after leaving a voicemail before I called again, I should have stopped there. Following the receipt of the preliminary questionnaire to see whether I was a candidate or not I had to call multiple times to get my appointment scheduled because voicemails are not returned. I answered the preliminary questionnaire in great detail and compiled all the information into one complete pdf that included pictures dating back 10+ years. When I received the email response with the proposed treatments and estimate cost it was fatty stem cell injections with multiple laser treatments. I have no doubt that Dr. Chesnutt's costs are an accurate reflection of the quality of his work; however, due to the fact that the procedure estimate was a fraction of the amount used for a house down payment I elected the option to receive 50% off the cost if I saw another provider within the 5C office. Again, no shade but this is the reality of many Americans right now and the cost of living crisis. The only reason I can justify allocating such funds from my budget is because I was in desperate need of advanced care to get back to living, dating, and building a life. My scars on my skin have significantly impacted my quality of life. I wasn't aware that in choosing this option that I would be receiving a lower standard of care. It was evident soon after the appointment began that none of the details on the reason for my visit or proposed treatment had been communicated with Merrick Brodsky. Fortunately I had the compiled pdf with pictures on my phone and I was able to bring it up in my appointment. After I informed Merrick Brodsky on the reason for my visit and the proposed treatments that I was seeking I was told that lasering would make things worse and provided another topical. There was no discussion on the fatty stem cell injections that were proposed as a treatment in the response to my preliminary questionnaire. I was referred to clinic 5C and Dr. Chesnutt from the last dermatologist I saw because he believed that cosmetic services that could have been provided in the office would be the next step to help with my scarring. Had I wanted another dermatology appointment I would have gone back to the original dermatologist that referred me, I didn't come in and drive across town for a dermatology appointment. Due to my contacts in the industry, I'm aware that fatty stem cell injections would still have been a viable option and treatment, but again Merrick Brodsky bypassed my comment on this. I asked how my appointment with him was any different than an appointment with any other dermatologist, which he responded that he was a dermatologist and said I was welcome to see another provider next time. Your patients are your customer. Again, what is all the gate keeping and preliminary questionnaire about with the proposed discount if there is no internal communication? For an office with the desire to be perceived as a boutique style, advanced, and high end location there needs to be an improvement on communication or creation for information workflow. I also asked for any pictures on the topical suggested showing improvements in how it was being prescribed to me and was told there was none. That's odd, I've been prescribed dozens of topicals and every provider was able to articulate or share evidence based images and information with me on why they thought the prescription would help. I grew up in Spokane and moved back in 2021, I have a large fitness social circle and have maintained contact with many individuals I grew up with. Prior to my appointment I asked for feedback or knowledge regarding clinic 5C. As I mentioned earlier, I was referred by my last dermatologist, and he was the first dermatologist I had given a try in years. He was the first dermatologist who listened to me, educated me on his approach, and understood my concern. It's all about the approach, had Merrick Brodsky done his due diligence to inform himself on the reason for my visit and taken the time to explain why he was diverting from the proposed treatment I might have been willing to go the distance and put my trust in him. I was already skeptical after receiving feedback from those in my circle. Again I trusted my dermatologist and put the feedback in the back of my mind. It was suggested that I ask what safety practices are put in place to ensure that lasers don't get used over the same area of skin as it can result in permanent scarring. I am also aware that the consultation fee made it hard to keep appointments. $$$$$ read more

I had a good experience both times I've gone in. Very polite and hardly any wait at all. I'm more concerned with my results. First time I went in and got botox for 11 lines and crows feet and a syringe of filler in lips. A month went by and my lips were very uneven and lumpy still and barely a difference at all. Botox seemed fine but I wasent completely happy with results from crows feet so I had them do a baby touch up on that and another full syringe of filler for lips. I've let another month go by and my lips are even BUT they are STILL just as small. Everyone i know says the same. My lips look no different at all. And my botox is already wearing off?? Is this normal? Can it just not work on some people? Should i go back again? I've spent almost 3k. read more
