I have been going to Northwest Dermtologyt for many years now and Mara Geffkin has been taking care of me. I absolutely love her. Ectremely competent, and caring, She has done a coupole of biopsies of my scalp 0 most recently found carcinoma in situ and I had a Mohs Procedure VERY skillfully done by Dr. Baird. Can't say enough good things about him. Mara has removed DOZENS of suspicious lesions from my scalp (I am bald) by freezing with nitrogen. Very professional and reassuring. Being a person that of the suntan era of the 70's; where you slathered baby oil and iodine on to get that super deep tan.... Well now years later I have had many issues of skin cancer (ya think?). I am a patient of Dr Hillary Hill and her staff of Paige and Nila. To say that that are the best of the best goes without saying. They're professional, knowledgable and are sensitive to how stressful pain or just being scared can be. Even with a person that has has many MOS surgeries. Their new office is beautiful, clean and enforce Covid protocols. I can't say enough about how well I was treated and that they were all very clear on what to expect during my surgery, and who to call for any questions or concerns. I had a very stubborn wart on my heel for YEARS that was resistant to any home treatment. It was extremely bothersome and sometimes painful/ render and very much an eyesore. Previously living in a small town, it was extremely hard to have a PCP be able to treat it and thus why it remained for years. Upon moving to Spokane I found NW Dermatology and saw Erin for a consultation on the wart and to form a treatment plan. She was extremely kind, gentle, and knowledgeable. She tackled the wart with a variety of modalities- cutting the excess skin growth around it so treatment could penetrate better, using liquid nitrogen freezing, Cantharidin, and in the end a week or so of compound W to kill the final bit. Within maybe 4-6 weeks, the wart I'd struggled with for YEARS was finally gone!! It has never returned now (a few years later) and I couldn't recommend them enough. read more

This physician's office may very well be the most efficient & friendliest office I have ever experienced. Dr Hsu is by far the greatest dermatologist I have ever met and here's why. He's gentle & kind. He scanned my entire body for precancerous and other concerns. Rather than to try to sell me an expensive laser treatment, he wrote me a script for a topical solution, when properly used, will eradicate my precancerous areas. He has a warm heart and goes out of his way to make each of his patients feel as special as can be. He thoroughly appears to not only appreciate his patients but also his work and his amazingly devoted staff starting with his assistant Lisa and Jesslynn at check-in and also Heather on checkout. (Just to name a few of whom speak admirably of this extraordinary Doctor Hsu) I know & trust I'm in great hands after I leave each office visit...to me, this is worth everything! read more

We have tried a number of dermatologists in the Spokane area and not had great luck. At NW Dermatology our whole family now goes to physician's assistant Erin Nulf. She is outstanding. We have a teenager that has struggled with acne and so we've paid a lot of money to be prescribed different meds by different dermatologists and PA's. Erin took the time to ask all of the necessary questions and realized it was going to take a different plan of action. I've sent friends to her now who have had the same success in different areas of dermatology too. She has great communication skills and takes the time to explain everything as far as the prognosis, purpose of care etc which in turn is going to get buy in and understanding from the patient which will result in better results for the patient. read more

The Dr. was great. The office staff not so much. I missed a 3 month followup appointment, and received a letter telling me that unless I paid them $50.00 they would not see me again. I guess that is their decision, but it lost me as a patient. Anyone I can tell to stay away from Northwest Dermatology, I will do so. $50.00 for nothing, and to threaten me with loss of the ability to get treatment is not good customer relations. read more

Was late for an appointment after being an on-time patient for years and they wanted to move to another day. I was 10 minutes late after driving over 2.5 hours to get to their office and they took the next appt time. I asked why they couldn't just slide me into the next slot and they advised that cannot be done? OK seems sensible. I asked to talk to Dr. Hsu and he just shrugged his shoulders and said that's the way it is. WOW - 10 years of being a client and that's it. Needless to say, not going back, would not recommend them and I've moved to a new doctor. read more
