i took my granddaughter there with a few relatives for her birthday. It was a nice crowd. We did the Groupon package which was enough. There were 4 kids and two hours spent there was more than plenty. I will certainly take them back. My 8 and 16 year old grands had a ball. We didn't do a party there, so I can't rate the party service. Luckily, an attendant was walking by and saw that my 16 year hadn't locked himself in all the way. We are forever grateful. WARNING: be SURE to strap in correctly. This place is busy and the attendants aren't checking everyone's safety rope.

Where were these when we were kids?!?!?

We're here twice a week with the kids when in DC. Not a terribly far drive as long as you avoid rush hour. Definitely worth getting there at 10am / when they open. Most of the kids can only really go for 90 minutes. We started them at 4 1/2 but for most 5-6 means they can do the Blue routes as well as some of the Yellow ones. Sprinkle in a few game (not cheap, prices vary). If you're a mom or dad under the gun for some high return ticket options, and you have good reaction times, sneak few games in at the Marvel Avengers game if the big balls are close to the edge or packed together (get all the infinity stones and you get like 500 tickets), also the Pearl Drop can get you a quick 40-50. As can the Red Ball Drop into the rotating buckets. Worst case, you get some solid credit card thickness Avengers cards with the first one. For fun two player games, the Frozen Zombie Troll one where the guns fire real water and there's an ice machine effect is wildly fun and not too challenges.

This place is super neat and so much fun for the entire family! There are so many rock walls that vary at level of ease. It's a really good workout so don't hit a heavy upper body day before coming here. The staff was supposed to train us before we started but they only put the harness on us so we had to ask other staff members what to do. I saw really little kids climbing the walls and larger size adults plus they have a little play area if you might have a kid too small or uninterested in the walls. There are a few arcade games and snacks for sale. Overall enjoyed the experience!

Chaperoned my 5 YO daughter here on a field trip with her camp. The campers' ages ranged from 5-13. The place was very well-lit and appeared to be pretty clean. It felt pretty inviting when I walked in. There were several climbing walls (over 70 of them, I believe) as well as a playground area, which they consider the "Soft Play" area, for the smaller kids. The older kids loved it as they had a variety of climbing walls to choose from and an arcade. I wouldn't recommend it for kids that are small or afraid to actually climb. I noticed the 5 & 6 year olds were in the play area. For the price, we could have gone to the park, but the little ones definitely still managed to have a great time playing with friends the entire time.

Had a great experience here on a Saturday. It got busy fast but we were greeted and treated so kindly by the staff. Everyone was really helpful because this isn't a normal activity for us. Our five year old had a lot of fun. They code the courses by color a the themes were so fun. There was also an arcade and soft play place for smaller kids. This would be a fun birthday spot. It's big enough to host a lot of kids.

Incredibly impressed. So many fun walls to climb, a substantial play area for kids too young to climb or if they want to take a break and best of all you can bring in your own food.

We love climb zone. The staff is tremendously helpful. It is well run. This is one of our favorite places to climb! Affordable & has great alternative okay options

My kids absolutely love it here! There are so many different varying climbing walls. The walls differ in difficulty levels so it can be good for young kids and older kids. For very young kids, there is also a section for them too. They have a party zone in the back.

This review is for excellent customer service from the manager (Aaliyah?). I can here with my 8yo and 5yo to climb. My 5yo daughter didn't want to climb, so they were nice enough to refund the climb and downgrade to soft play instead. Overall, the place is unique and a great place for kids to try climbing. They have an arcade area and soft play area as well as a seating area with space for birthday parties.

My niece wanted a birthday party with friends at this place. It's a cool place. I like wall with different textures. The best one I would say the bookshelf. I feel so embarrassed to tryout, I just see young kids doing this, no adults. I think is just for kids, not really sure. I would tryout if adults were climbing. This place also have arcade games play. The place are really high. Mostly each games 4 tokens to play. Crazy. The staff are nice and friendly. You have bring food and drinks.

While on a trip to Maryland in July we connected with family and took all the kids to ClimbZone. There were 4 kids in our group (4 year old, two 7 year olds, & a 9 year old). This was the first time that the kids had been here and they had a blast. The older kids in the group were able to easily negotiate climbing up and coming down on their own. On a few occasions the 4 year old needed a little help coming down but the staff was quick to come to the rescue. It's very spacious with lots of different and colorful walls that will keep the kids engaged and active for a while.

Great place for the kids on a cold winter day. Lots of great walls to climb. 3 hours is more than enough time.

Ask the Community - ClimbZone Laurel

Is this place suitable to host a 2 year old boys birthday? He loves to climb, however, the majority of his guest will be 1, 2 and 3.

I would say 5 years old and up for a birthday here. They do have a soft play jungle gym but even that may be a bit much for children under 3 as it is floor to ceiling in size.

Does the arcade use coins or a fillable card?

We use rechargeable arcade cards. ClimbZone Laurel

Is this place fun for a 13 and 15 year old? Thanks :-)

Absolutely. We have 75 walls that range in difficulty from beginner to advanced. All of our walls are themed so your kids can climb the Eiffel Tower, Mt Rushmore, a map of the United States and try out our skatepark walls. Hope you come visit us… Read more

The gym seems like a small, tight-knit community here with folks of different ages and skill levels. When you first come in, you have to enter the bathroom/locker room to put your stuff down before heading to the main gym space. I like how there are lockers for everyone and you can set your own temporary code for the day - just like a hotel safe! So convenient. I enjoyed the creative climbs and setting here. It's a bouldering-only gym and they dont have the space/height for rope climbs. But they sure make up for it in the variety of boulders with bright and clean holds. There is a nearby workout area that's small, but mighty! They also have a systems board, kilter, cardio, weights - anything you need to stay in shape! The folks we climbed with seemed pretty chill here, too. I liked the vibe of the place and people didn't seem "too snobby with people in matching sets" (as other gyms give off). I'd love to come back more often if I lived closer. After climbing you can drop by the creamery for an ice cream cone - yum! or grab a cold pint at the brewery next door! Great location.

I've been to earth trek before (old name for movement) where I actually rock climbed. What's the difference you wonder? Higher climbing and you use a harness. I also find it easier. Three stars because the place is clean and the staff is nice. I also liked the gym portion with the Woodway treadmills.
