My family and I celebrated my daughters birthday here, we reserved a tent the party coordinator met with me greeted me his name was Jerome he was nice he talked to the kids and was very friendly and got them all harnessed up and gave them instructions. I set up party decorations and refreshments that I brought on my own and cake, the only thing I didn't like was all the money we paid 200 and some dollars I would expect for them to provide plastic wear for no additional charge and provide ice and refreshments luckily I had brought my own climbzone could have at least provided ice water and not just " there's a water fountain up front" or pay for over priced bottles of waters. I have my kids parties at different venues every year and they provide plastic wear and water and sodas and souvenirs at times other places also set up the party decorations and clean up afterwards as well as cut cake and serve to the kids, at other places the party coordinators run the flow of the party climbzone did nothing literally nothing but harness the kids and was quick to get us out the space at cut off time all climbzone provides was a space for 2 hours. I would not recommend having your kids party here if you do just go early and set up at their little tables free of charge near the bouncy houses and call it a day. I only had my daughters party here because she loves wall climbing but never again. read more

This place is better than any rock wall facility I've been too, possibly because it's still newer and very clean but I also think that the staff has a lot to do with it. The atmosphere is bright, fun and just the perfect amount of competitive. My kids, ages 4 & 6, love when I take them there. My older child can get to the top of several of the walls because there are so many varying levels of difficulty. I climb them too, there are some I just can't complete so they aren't all easy. read more

My 2.5 and 4.5 year old boys absolutely loved this place. Although, I wish the price was a little cheaper (particularly for my two year old), it was still worth it. My 2.5 year old went up and down the bouncy slide until he was exhausted. And my 4.5 year old climbed the whole time and still didn't want to leave after three hours. The eating area was a little small, but we still found a place to sit. Staff was very friendly. Can't wait to take them again. My only complaint is that they NEVER answer the phone. I have to keep calling and calling. Only one time did someone actually answer. Other than that five stars. I thought it helped build confidence and instilled determination as well. read more

Came Sunday at noon and used a two person Groupon. Apparently you are still required to pay tax when using the Groupon, which the Groupon does not make mention of. So that was a little annoying. We got off to a slow and disorganized start getting waivers signed and harnesses put on. After my 6 and 8 year olds were harnessed up there was no instruction showing them how to use the carabiners or climb ropes. They began climbing and had fun. My 8 yr old was able to hook and unhook himself, but younger sibling was not--so keep that in mind as you'll have to be near to assist. Kids had fun overall. Overall I think administrative processes could improve but for the kids its a good time. read more

This place is simply awesome. My 12-year old spent the full 3 hours here and was exhausted at the end - good for a cold winter day. Completely safe with several attendants on hand to help. It is fun for adults and kids - maybe I'll try next time. One of the attendants said the owners had 3 in New Zealand and did some market research and determined Laurel was a good location for the DC area. Very ingenious ways of getting to the top. I want to give this place 5 stars SO bad but the price gets to me. There was 4 of us so it cost us $100. $25 gets you 3 hours, but after about 1-1.5 hours, you've pretty much had the chance to try all the climbs. I Had my Sons 3rd Birthday Party here and he loved it the staff here though young they are very efficient and well organized they made sure that everything ran smooth during the party and always made sure that i was okay during my time there and even though i booked the party for 10 kids and only 6 showed up they allowed me not to have to pay for those kids even though i had made the reservations After the party they help you with clean up and the even gave my so a free two climb session for a birthday gift i would recommend this place for any parent thats looking for something cheap and fun todo with the kids and did i mention that the facility itself is very large and also very clean keep up the good work so much better then pump it up read more

Awesome place for the whole family, groups, scouts. Everyone, even fellow customers, were SO NICE!! Everyone waited their turn for each wall and yielded to one another when it came to climbing/trying all the different walls. And the WALLS! It's so insane how many themed walls they have. My fave is the bookshelf bc it felt like I'm doing something totally dangerous and wrong.;-) The staff was super-vigilant and helpful, stern but nice- they made sure the kids were following the rules so they wouldn't get hurt and they earned much respeto in my book. I had zero experience in rock climbing, so I thought I'd start off small and found Climb Zone. As soon as you walk in, you see the many artistic walls available to climb, varying from pirate ships, to the Lincoln memorial. Mack was the kind instructor who walked us through how to use the harnesses, it was a easy process and I felt safe the entire time. There weren't a lot of guest during the time so I got to try almost all the walls. The walls were fun to climb, and each climber has plenty of space. Despite the appearance, Climb Zone isn't only for children, but for all ages (I must admit that the inflatable slides were a blast to go on). Overall the employees are helpful and friendly, the zone is visually appealing and enjoyable to climb, I will definitely return soon. read more

To be honest, we did not enjoy our experience. We paid to have stress free and it did not happen. We get to the place, and someone tell us that the other party is late so they are giving the group some extra time? Hello? It is not my problem if someone came late for their party slot. I found everyone rude and not willing to help. This was the first time we ever used this place and probably last unless we come for someone else's birthday. Very frustrating! Our pizza was scheduled to be delivered at 7pm and Dominos was late, they came at 7:20pm and the guy comes back to tell me that we have until 7:50pm to leave the green tent? Hello, he didn't start instructing the kids until 6:20pm. Shouldn't we have the tent for 2 hours? Very confusing and no one in charge. They rushed us in to leave the tent when there were no other appointments or parties after us and if the kids cannot play until 9pm, why do you charge for 3 hours if we cannot use the 3 full hours? By 8:30pm we were told to leave the place. If by 8:30pm you have to clean, then we should pay for 2 1/2 hours and not 3 hours. Bad management, very disappointing! The guy tells me in front of all my guests that I have 3 min to clean the tables??????? You never, ever do this in front of the guests ever. The place is managed by a lot of adolescents with no customer service skills! read more

This place is awesome! There is something for everyone. Even adults, even though it looks like it's only for kids. Maybe more adults come later in the evening..? There are some really challenging walls for the more experienced, and some easy ones for beginners. If there's a lot of people around, you might have to wait in line, but it never takes long. They have tons of seating for "spectators" and 3 moon bounces for kids. The other thing I liked was the hand sanitizer stations located throughout the place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My camp group and I had a great time and they want to come back so bad next year! read more

We live in Baltimore County, MD, but after reading about this place on www.beltwaybambinos.com we decided to take the almost hour car ride down to ClimbZone in Laurel, MD. We went on a Saturday afternoon and didn't fill out the waiver or make reservations on-line and we didn't have a problem, but I can see where it might be if you have a big family or group. There are 75 different climbing walls, all with a different theme. You pay $25.00 per person that wants to climb, adults who are just spectators are admitted free. They say this is for three hours, but I don't know how they enforce this. We left within that time because my daughter was tired and hungry. You can pack your own drinks and snacks and there are tables and chairs around. My eight year old daughter loved it. My husband and I thought the place was very creative and well done. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something different to do with your school aged kids. I know my daughter is tired of the moon bounce and trampoline places. I hope this catches on and they open another one a little closer to us. read more

I had my son's birthday party here. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they don't have their birthday party flow down yet. They have 3 tents and 1 room to reserve for parties, but they only have two carts. My tent was not ready 15 minutes after the time I was supposed to be able to set up. Also, after the tent was ready, I had to wait on a cart - the parties before mine were using the cart. My suggestion is they extend the time between parties (as I liked not being herded out of the door). The staff was extremely apologetic and helped bring all of the stuff in. Once we got settled in, all was well. Other than the party snafus, this place is great. Our party host was awesome and patient with the kids. He went over the harness instructions at least five times - several of the kids initially chickened out and then later decided to climb. We will definitely go back. read more

Had a fun birthday climb here w/ ten kids on a weekday. Not crowded during daytime on weekdays. Weekends get very full. Recommend making reservations. The facility is very large (about 80' x 300') and has about 70 different climbing lanes. The kids, ages 8-13, all enjoyed it very much and were smoked by the end of the three hours. read more

Had my daughter's 9th birthday party here on Sept 17. This place is awesome. I had never been, never seen the facility, and didn't know anyone who'd patronized the business. Needless to say ALL my friends and family know now. The staff was beyond accommodating. Jermaine was our party host and this young man...words cannot describe the job he did ensuring our guests received the best treatment they could offer. My daughter and her party had the time of their lives. They're already asking when we can return. I would not hesitate to recommend ClimbZone and I, for sure, will be returning. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I took my 12 year old and three year old twins here today and they LOVED it. You get roughly 3 hours to play and climb (there are also bounce houses for those unable or not interested in climbing). We went last Saturday hoping to enjoy the afternoon to celebrate my son's weekend birthday. We drove almost one hour to find out that they were not accepting walk-ins. The website states that reservations are highly recommended on weekends, however, it should be required as they turn away customers that they don't have reservations. My new favorite place in the world! I don't like children, but I love bounce houses and climbing on things. I went with my boyfriend at around 10am on a Thursday and the place was completely empty! Later on a family with a small group of children came, but the place was so big that it was still to ourselves. There are a ton of walls of varying difficulties so if you can't do one, don't get discouraged because there are so many other great ones to try, like four dozen of them. The way this easily beats other rock climbing places, aside from the fun, colorful and creative environment, is the auto belay system. You're able to climb at your leisure without feeling like you're wasting someone else's time or being watched. The staff here is outstanding and so helpful, always at the right time. Finally, it's extremely clean and thoughtfully laid out. There's cubby holes, water fountains, tons of seating and magazines for anyone taking a break or not climbing. They sell small snacks and refreshments like coffee and ice cream as well. The cost is $25 for three hours for anyone over six and $20 for anyone under the age of six. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! read more
