John met me at my home in the late evening and provided a quote. There's no sales pitch, used car salesman tactics, demonstrations that have little real-world results, etc. With other Window companies, they push their "Cadillac" windows that give a marginal performance increase for an exponential cost. Not with Best Windows. I knew beforehand they installed Kensington brand windows. They started with the manufacturer's basic line. I inquired about the mid-level line and John provided his input on why he didn't think they were really worth the additional investment. John's pricing was straightforward. There was no "oh you get a Yelp discount" or "oops I forgot to add a window to your quote, I'll throw that in for free." It was refreshing to talk to a non-pushy company for once. We went with John and his installer Chris put them in our home about six weeks later. Took about a day and a half. His crew showed up about an hour earlier and were super fast! The windows are awesome and have already saved on my heating bill this past winter.

Barry understood our needs, the price was less than some of the other competitors but not so much that I worried about quality. From ordering the custom door to the date of install was only a couple of weeks. On the date of install, Nick arrived early and got right to work. The door was installed, looks great and Nick did a great job of cleaning up. I had a question about the door the next day and Barry came out and cleared up that question in minutes. We will definitely use thermalcraft in the future!

When my wife and I moved into our first home we were super excited...and scared. We didn't know…read morewhat was going to be that first surprise cost as homeowners. After moving into a place that is very close to the L and about 17 years old we soon discovered our windows needed to be replaced. Not only were they hardly blocking any sound of the trains going by, but the wood around them was starting to rot. We did a lot of research and called quite a few vendors one of which was Marvin. The rep they suggested was Revisions and boy am I glad that we go them. Patrick was the first person we met who came by our place to chat about options. He knew his stuff and had a laptop with him to easily pull up info he didn't have off the top of his head. After making our selection we met Rob who would be doing the actual install. He stopped by to make some final measurements and was very personable and even answered some extra questions we forgot to ask Patrick. On the day of the install Rob and Leo, another employee, came in and got the old windows out and the new ones up in about 8 hours. The new windows look great and they block out SO much more noise. Rob and Leo even added some more insulation to help with the cold winters and added some wood panels to sections of our frames that weren't looking so nice. My wife and I are more than pleased with the outcome and I highly recommend Revisions if you're looking for new windows.

Horrible experience all around. This company should be out of business…read more We had (and continue to have) an incredibly frustrating experience dealing with Revisions Window & Door. Despite paying over $70,000 for new doors and windows for the front of our house, the experience and quality of the install and product are horrible. The installation resulted in one of the sidelight windows on our door being shattered, and the replacement process took over 8 months because they ordered the wrong size window for the initial replacement. We live in the heart of Chicago and this posed a safety concern. This also caused us significant financial losses because we rent our house for production and photo shoots and were unable to do so with a shattered front door (which is front and center in our living room). To make matters worse, Revisions refused to offer any form of discount or credit for their mistakes. During install they also realized they didn't measure a door frame correctly which resulted in a change order and them charging us more than our contractual agreement. However we just experienced the biggest issue less than a year after our doors and windows were installed. The recent snow and rain in Chicago revealed a major flaw - the french doors in our bedroom are leaking, allowing massive amounts of water to seep in, which has caused significant damage to the trim, flooring and ceiling on the floor below. This experience has been a nightmare and the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They sell a commodity product -- look elsewhere and you will find much better quality and service. I wish I did.

Some of our neighbors got all their windows replaced by this specific location and had a very positive experience, so we got an estimate from one of their sales associates Harley Perry for 20+ windows. Harley was great to work with, very personal and answered all of our questions regarding the quality, warranty, and installation process. The cost can't be beat and the level of customer service has been exceptional. The install was very smooth and took a full day to do all windows in our home. We encountered a couple small issues a few weeks after, but Voytek and Ivana were responsive and made sure every issue was addressed. Joel and Jackie run one of the best window installation businesses in the area, if not the best in terms of service, quality and price. I would highly recommend them if you're looking to replace your windows or just looking for a fresh upgrade. Thank you and happy holidays! Best, Charlie

We've went through a historically cold period in Chicago and the windows made a significant difference on the indoor temperature of my unit. No more drafts and swirling chilly air close to the patio doors or windows. All the glass is still clear, no leakage despite the bone chilling frightful temperatures outside and a couple nights of horizontal freezing rain. I'm a retired trades worker with over 30 years of experience. From my observation viewpoint the installers engaged in best practices. The worksite was broom clean when the workers left. There was some dust, but it's construction. I happened to catch a windy day in mid November, which is on me since I didn't start getting estimates until the end of September. The installation beat the first snowfall by a three days. Timing was perfect as it was an insect free experience. I had 3 estimates and Certified Window beat the other firms by a significant margin. I appreciated that they were located in the City of Chicago and have been in business since 1955, so they have a good track record of service in our community. I enjoyed collaborating with Frank Matz on the project and appreciate all of the hard work by the installers. I highly recommend Certified Window after their upgrading my patio doors and windows.
