We schedule 2 appointments with them - 1) Air Duct Cleaning & 2) Energy Audit. The appointments were scheduled back to back at times that were very convenient for us. The Air Duct cleaning took 2 guys, and I appreciated that they were exactly on time. They were professional, courteous & very informative. They explained the safety they take to ensure the ducts get cleaned and our home's air is safe & clean going forward. Afterwards, I walked around the house and it was as if they weren't even there. Our energy audit was thorough and very enlightening. I appreciated the information that can help our house be more energy efficient and save us money. I was surprised to get quotes for the suggested work right away and never felt pressured to schedule the work with them right away. If you've never had an Energy Audit, then I would suggest you do and definitely call Climate Doctors. Paul (the owner) was very detailed & explained what could be done now and what could wait.... This all started with me seeing mold in my air vents. I called other companies that quoted me crazy figures, it's beyond me how it can be between $500 to $2,000. I found Climate Doctors on Yelp & Google search with very good reviews so I decided to get a second opinion (first one was $1800 and that was just the vents & coil cleaning). It took 2 weeks to get an appt for Paul to come out but the information he provided me was well worth it!!!! Gave me tips on what I could do to decrease my utility bill and determined that the mold was coming from condensation due to my air ducts were no completely sealed and leaking air!!!! Bottom line, I'm getting my ducts sealed, vents cleaned and adding 3 inches in inhalation for less than what the other company quoted me....... I have been 100% satisfied with their professionalism, their promptness, and their prices. Their install crews are very good...it took them less than 3 hours to blow in 2000 square feet of insulation, and install two new roof turbines, and 10 soffet vents under the eaves. Please forgive the negativity but I want to spare you my pain. Do NOT use Climate Doctors. I realize they are on Angie's List. I even gave them a good review the first time. What they don 't tell you is that their certified Energy Auditor/Expert is the owner. He recommended a service to us that cost $325 and said would take an hour and a half and reduce the dust in our home by up to 50% or more. Well, the techs came and did the service in 15 minutes. My dust never went down. I have contacted the company several times and they either ignore my calls or promise to call back. Don't get sucked in. read more

Paul Boyd's company did a terrible job...twice. We had them come out to add insulation to our attic, seal our furnace and duct work, and clean the ducts. They did a horrible job. So much so that they had to come back out and try again and still failed. I called immediately after the first time to tell them about some damage to the vent covers and to a door frame that was caused by their crew. We scheduled a time for the crew to come back and do a better job, and the owner, Paul Boyd, was supposed to show up at the same time to look at the work. he did not. In fact he showed up almost an hour after his crew had left, so I wasn't able to show him the piss poor job they did the first time, but only the second piss poor job they did. He agreed that the work that was done was sub-par. The crew showed up and did all their work again. The duct cleaning was still done very poorly. In fact, I had to ask this so called professional about the return air vents on the floor that were not addressed the first time. The first crew also did damage to one of my base boards and took a big chunk out of it. They didn't tell me and tried to repair it using what they use to seal the ducts. Paul was aware of all of this and offered another duct cleaning, and to replace the vent cover and have the damage fixed. When I called to schedule the damage to be fixed, I was told that it would be several weeks before someone could come fix it and that it would take more time than I was willing to give, after having already given up close to 8 hours of my time for the first two "cleanings". I have tried contacting the owner, Paul Boyd several times via email and phone calls. He is very unprofessional and will not return my calls or respond to my emails. I called them to do an energy audit. My electric bill is just too high. The owner showed up on time and took his time to explain everything to me during the free energy audit. I had no idea what all I could do to lower my utility bill. He was very knowledgeable about everything and I felt very comfortable. He did not pressure me or anything. He simply explained what could be done - he told me of the things I could do myself and also the things that I could do if I wanted to but that would be better to hire someone else to do the hard stuff. He prioritized the things also in order of most efficient and the most cost savings benefit in case I could not afford to get it all done at once. He then let me know about the rebate program. Thats a big help. I had them install more insulation (the builder only put in the bare minimum, surprise) and radiant barrier. I have already seen a difference in my bill since then. I also had them come out and clean my ducts another time and I have felt more cooling now. I have recommended them to my friends, co-workers and family. I had Climate Doctors come out to my house in early 2016 to do an audit. I accepted their recommendations and some items I wanted to be done (replace a vinyl dryer duct with a metal one and ducting from my bathrooms). A crew was sent in to do the work. At the time of completion, I thought the work was well done. Afterward, upon closer inspection, I found somethings not up to snuff. Called the company and expressed my distress. Within the week Paul came out checked my problems and had the problems fixed ASAP. They backed up their work without any hassle. Great business. read more

I hired Climate Doctors to clean my dryer vent. Not only were they not able to clean the vent, they clogged it completely! Their suggestion to me was to hire someone to cut a hole in my wall and reroute the vent. They were completely incompetent. I hired HomeSafe Dryer vent cleaning service and they were able to remove the clog caused by Climate Doctors and clean the vent. read more

I found the crew that sprayed the insulation to be rude and hurried. Also, while spraying the attic, the installer stepped on the flex pipe connection that was attached to the black pipe that fed gas to the tankless hot water heater. We know it was him because it was located in a part of the attic that had limited access and no one else had any need to go back there. Over the next few weeks we began to smell gas off and on in the area close to the attic pulldown. The smell got stronger so we contacted the gas company. When he went into the attack, his hand held gas detector was going off like a gager-counter. He traced the source to that connection. At his recommendation we called a plumber. He could tell that the female fitting on the flex hose had been flattened and when he go it off he could see where the inner connection had also sustained damage resulting in gas leaking into the attic. It was fortunate that we had not had the pilot lights on in the two furnaces located close to the leak. After we had it repaired, I contacted Climate Doctors, but never heard back. It costs us $500 to repair the damage caused by those installers and it could have worse: fire/affixiation. I knew that they would not pay for the damage, but at least respond to my complaint. Paul was good on the front end (the sales) but never returned to check on the work or see if we were satisfied. I also found his Energy Audit to be little too rehearsed. Buyer beware. read more
