I've stopped by Clifton Buffet a handful of times throughout the last few years and they've remained consistent throughout the years. Expect a good range of food (mostly Chinese) at a decent price. For a buffet, I find the food to be pretty good and they seem to be pretty efficient at making sure to re-fill empty dishes quickly. Customers love coming for their crab-legs so that can be hard to get sometimes since they're gone within 2 minutes of being put out. On Sunday, the price is $18 pp (as of January 2020) but lunch during the week is about $11-12 which is a good price. Overall, this remains a pretty good buffet in the area and I'll keep coming back.

Typical Chinese buffet. If you want cheap food and lots of it, go here. It's good. Kind of. Perfect Chinese buffet. The tea was quite good.

From the days of chop suey to…read morethe rise of contemporary Chinese-American dishes, the Chinese food we know and love today has evolved in fascinating ways. One of the most popular dining experiences is the Chinese buffet. Referred to as the "Chinese smörgåsbord," believe it or not, it first emerged in the 1950s before exploding in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This American tradition offers diners a variety of delicious dishes adapted to suit American tastes and may differ significantly from authentic Chinese cuisine in an all-you-can-eat setting. Located on Market Street, Dynasty Buffet is the closest to our home, and my partner and I paid them a return visit after 3 years tonight. Upon entering inside their high ceilings, with big windows and nice lighting, we were greeted by the host. The cost begins at $33.99 per person for a weekend dinner. We were led to a booth by the window. The establishment continues to have a large selection of a mixed variety of Asian and other ethnic food, plus a salad, a carving station, and a dessert bar. The staff puts out smaller portions and refills frequently so everything tastes fresh. Although American Chinese buffets offer a wide variety of dishes, many of the more authentic and region-specific dishes from China are not typically found on their menus. The food was tasty, the staff would check on us frequently, and the service was amicable. Ultimately, the buffet serves as a delicious reminder of the ways in which cultures can blend and evolve over time while still preserving their unique flavors and techniques.

He was going back and forth to so many tables and still having convos with everyone. Shout out to JoJo! You can do hot pot, kbbq, or both. It's also byob, so that's great. They provide the same cups as all the other drinks. Limited slushies from their machine. However, my favorite section of this place is their banchan and other hot foods selection. There's marinated wings, japchae, kimbap, stews, stirfry, tteokbokki, etc. For dessert, there's soft serve and bingsu! FYI, they don't have those large vents usually above the tables during kbbq, so make sure you're not going anywhere afterwards that minds you smelling like bbq. Located in a shopping area, so plenty of parking! Definitely will be visiting again!

Neither of us tried the Moon yet so we decided to check it out. I was able to easily make a reservation via Yelp for 6 people for 12:30 (4 adults + 2 toddlers). For the most part, we already knew what we wanted to order, so we placed an order for the BBQ items and hot pot meats first. Only the meats are the items you need to order. Everything else, you grab at the buffet - including seafood, fish balls, veggies, and noodles. The BBQ items are just okay, but that tends to be the case with you have hot pot + BBQ. The hot pot beef was good but the lamb was super gamey, which turned my broth into a gamey lamb flavor, making everything else I cooked in there have a trace of that too. Bottom line - skip the lamb. As for the buffet, they have a lot of options. Aside from the typical hot pot items, they also have some Korean dishes like kimbap, japchae, kimchi, as well as some fried items. I don't think I liked the Moon enough for a return trip. It's also slightly pricier than other hot pot + KBBQ spots, so I think I'll check out some of the other ones next time.

This is a typical…read moreself-service buffet type of restaurant which is very common in Brazilian communities in Newark-NJ, Astoria-NY and many other locations. You make your plate, weigh and pay about $10 per pound. My feijoada plate from the attached picture had a little less than a pound so I paid around $9 which is a great deal especially if you compare to other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is somewhat small, simple, but there are enough tables for everyone even during lunch hours. Staff is friendly, they give you privacy to pick your food without anyone bothering you, food is tasty and the variety is ok. I wish they had Brazilian barbecue similar to other restaurants in the area but I can't really complain because the food and price were great. Compared to other Brazilian restaurants in the area this place has a big advantage because the process is very simple. Other restaurants such as Casa Nova, Cantinho Mineiro, Delícia de Minas also offer a buffet option but their process is very complicated. They have a prix fixe option for a set price and then if you add meat it's a different price, if you want to take something to go you need to pick a prix fixe container for a different price. It's just too confusing and I don't really like that, hence my preference for this Brazilian buffet restaurant. Don't expect any luxury or lots of variety. This is a practical restaurant offering food for a fair price. I definitely recommend it. Note that there's just street parking and the Wilson Ave area tends to be busy so keep that in mind.

I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

I highly recommend coming with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. They also offer an option to pay an extra $45 to take your leftovers home, which is absolutely worth it. I ended up with so much food that my fridge is still full. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

Special shoutout also to their dessert- there is something about their ice cream because it is BOMB. You can make it into a bingsoo and add some shaved ice and fresh fruit. If only I wasn't so full... I swear I would have multiple rounds of the dessert alone lol While the food and hotpot experience was enjoyable, I found the service less so. Went here with a party of 16 and while I know it can be overwhelming to serve this big of a group, I feel like the staff could have done a better job of managing the group: 1) there wasn't much explanation of how the ordering process goes which left many of us first timers confused, and instead of helping they seemed irritated that we didn't order fast enough. 2) they barely checked up on us while we were settled. My friend had to ask multiple times for a refill on his water and took several attempts and reminders for them to FINALLY give him water, and 3) they are very strict here with the time you can stay here. I understand why time limits are set but we asked if we could have 10 extra minutes without being charged because we were a big group but they were not accommodating. Found it to be a bit irritating cause if they had been more helpful in the beginning with the ordering, our group might not have needed to rush at the end. Just wished there was a bit more flexibility here. My visit here wasn't perfect, but I definitely would come back here since the food is so good. But hope they can work on how they deal with big groups for the future!!
