Just finish dinner in this buffet. Wednesday night: $15.99 per person. This place is amazing!! They do not have cold mussel or raw oyster, but they have lots of crab legs! The crab legs taste very great as well as the size!! Crawfish is the same, great size and clean. Cooked shrimp is a little but too overdone, but the clams and cooked mussels are great! The baked mussel is the best tho! The sushi is alright, average. If you like seafood especially crab legs, this is definitely the place to go to. Their refilling is way better than other buffet. Great amount of refill each timeI will definitely come back again for soon! If you consider coming on a weekend. The price is $16.99 per person. However, the foods are gone really quickly and you may have to eat like you are in a war or something. Especially crab legs, you will see many people waiting around it to refill with the plate, then 4-5 people will fight through each other and grab as much crab legs as possible. Every refill is a war. Also, the crab legs in weekend are very salty. I felt like I ate a whole bottle of salt. Cooked shrimp is very soggy and it is very hard to take the shell off. Crawfish, mussel, clam, and others are normal. I do find the tempura crab is kind of tasty, but it's very depends on individual's sense of taste. I will only come here on weekdays because I don't want to have a dinner which I have to be in a war. read more

I would give less than a star if I could. This was the absolute worst experience I've had at a buffet. Everything was cold. Had to ask for refills. And to top it they wanted to charge $70 for two people read more

Two pricey for average Chinese food. $27.95 for dinner. Order hot tea and I was giving a coffee cup instead of aTeacup (chá bēi, 茶杯. Food was not hot. Barbecued ribs dry and hard fried chicken wings dry. I felt food was not fresh for dinner service. read more

The food wasn't bad. Took the family, wasn't that busy on Sunday. Used my debit card to pay and left cash tip. Signed the slip, next day I saw the charge and they over inflated the bill by almost 20 dollars. I don't recommend this place for shady business practices read more

Love coming to this place it always has fresh food out and ready and I absolutely love their pudding

Total dog sh*t. Enough said. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. The last time I was here for lunch about a year ago, it was actually pretty good. Not any more. Throw away plastic plates. Absolutely disgusting food. Even the desserts were disgusting.. What food I had tasted old. I'm hoping not to get sick from eating here. At $28.99, a total rip off. read more

If you don't want to spend almost 40 dollars per person, don't even come here. I don't recommend it. You have to pay 28.00 plus taxes 6 and tips 5, which is 39. The truth is that the food is more or less but very expensive. Honestly, don't even think about coming here with your family, the bill will be around 200 dollars. read more

Absolutely awful. The Mac and cheese was floating with water. The food is tasteless and greasy. The desserts were disgusting. Never returning. read more

Solid buffet choice! Visited on a Friday night and the kitchen kept the selections fresh. Nothing sat on the buffet line for too long and the staff kept bringing new food. Service is fine, waitress made sure we had soda at all time. Decor is a little outdated. read more

I went here with my family and god mother, and it was one of the best dinners I've ever had. I smelt the amazing food before I even went into the store! There was so much food to choose from, it was so hard to decide. Sushi, fruits, vegetables, crabs, and so much more. The workers were easy to communicate with, and thanked us, also saying "Happy New Year!" to us. The vibe was pretty calm, excluding the loud child next to us, but besides that, it felt good. Overall, I would definitely come back here for another dinner, I truly recommend coming to this buffet. read more

Everything. Your food was horrible ABSOLUTELY horrible. Nothing looked nor taste fresh. The hibachi grill was limited with their choice. Please do not go there. The fried chicken looked and tasted like it was refried a few times. My 10 year old grandson told me that restaurant is a straight up disgusting. The plates they have to eat in is plastic the utensils looked like their are from the 18th century. Never ever would I go back there. I would not have minded paying $28.99 if the food was tasty but I wasn't. Service absolutely horrible. Will not get me a 2nd visit. I won't compromise my health read more

The food was disgusting, and I paid 100 dollars for 3 people insane. The people that work there are so rude, they kept removing my plate from the table. I kept telling them that I was still eating my plate. Will never go back read more

Terrible experience, Sneakily put a sign up when you walk in where tip is included while having to pay $28 per person. without ordering a drink i was charged for you. disorganized and cluttery read more

to start the food was straight garbage me and my friend walked in for lunch service and the food was extremely nasty very cheap as well, not to mention how rude the service was it was genuinely disgusting one of the worst places I been too read more

When you walk you don't pay up front. You pay after you eat. Everything was alright but the "blue crab" was not blue crab. It was actually blue swimmer crab from India not from America. The snow crab was good but went out quickly. You had to search for the butter. The mussels were horrible because they were sitting in water. Overall it was not very good. The service was also poor because there were only 2 people there. The meats were very bad because again like the mussels they were sitting in water. The snow crab was in water but the blue swimmer crab was not. read more

Amazing for the price that you get. My husband and i live going there. They're pretty clean. So much seafood so they get all my love.

I've stopped by Clifton Buffet a handful of times throughout the last few years and they've remained consistent throughout the years. Expect a good range of food (mostly Chinese) at a decent price. For a buffet, I find the food to be pretty good and they seem to be pretty efficient at making sure to re-fill empty dishes quickly. Customers love coming for their crab-legs so that can be hard to get sometimes since they're gone within 2 minutes of being put out. On Sunday, the price is $18 pp (as of January 2020) but lunch during the week is about $11-12 which is a good price. Overall, this remains a pretty good buffet in the area and I'll keep coming back. read more

Worst buffet even been to. Gets 1 star because they have parking but the plates are plastic so are the utensils dinner is $25 and isn't worth half that. The soda tastes like soap. The food is cold and selection is scarce and poor. Clifton Buffet - Sad Plastic plates & utensils - Buffets Near Me - Clifton, New Jersey

Great, tasty food. The roast beef needs a little work. Hey, there's no roasted chicken but roasted turkey. The sushi is a little better than nothing, at all. Great Wonton Soup with alot of green onions, sliced well, a machine did it. Good desserts, but the ice cream lost a little bit of its flavor. It used to be the WOW factor! It's still 5 stars. I'm allergic to turkey! read more

Over priced. Food was not good. Most of the food was cold. A lot of empty pans that never got refilled. They used cheap plastic utensils and foam plates. read more

The food is decent it's really the only buffet nearby that's why you go to it . The thing I hate the most is the servers . They're constantly on you rushing you to leave . They've handed me my bill while I would still be eating and say thank you for coming . Then expect me to tip them good read more

The food is disgusting, the worst experience ever. Not recommended at all.California Roll

Take heed. As soon as you enter you will be watched like a hawk by staff. They make you feel unwelcome as if to rush you to eat quickly then leave. Staff needs to be retrained! read more

The food is amazing. I go there very often and always make sure to tip at least 25% especially since covid started. My only complaint is the servers drop the check and kind of demand right away payment to the point where it gets a little uncomfortable. Numerous times my boyfriend had to rush his chewing because the server continued to come back 6 times in a matter of three minutes (not an exaggeration) to check for the payment. This happened too many times and I think maybe this matter should be addressed to the servers. Will definitely be back but would like to feel a little less pressured to pay right away every time. read more

This buffet is your very typical Chinese buffet. Nothing special but its to the point; a variety of choices at a good price. I have to say though, many other Chinese buffets are just as expensive, or even more pricier, but Clifton Buffet has more bang for your buck. For it's cheap price, having crab legs for dinner is a plus! As for the other selections of food, you will find all the American-Chinese food favorites, your chicken and broccoli, spare ribs, and general tso's chicken are all here. Service is attentive enough and I have not seen this place dirty, so the price is well worth it. None of the food though is too special in my opinion, this place is suffice for me when I am looking for a cheap fix on eating tons of food. read more

Found this place on Yelp thought we would give it a try. They have all these signs posted by the front door .. two hour limit after that it's a 20% added to the bill. Only take what you can eat wasted food will be weighed and added to your bill. Blah blah blah The restaurant is extremely clean Food choices are the norm for a buffet Hibachi meh Would I go again? ... maybe read more

that was absolutely horrible. horrible service, I was profiled and looked at, food was horrible, they overcharged purposely as well.

I went to the buffet for lunch. $6.99 per pound for takeout. Most of the food was Chinese in nature.Food was freshly prepared with good flavor. Lots of variety. I was more than pleasantly surprised. I don't believe the all you can eat is worth the price but the per pound price was excellent and there were no restrictions with regard to what you can select for takeout. read more

Been here two times and both times we were not disappointed. Came here once on Saturday for lunch and once on Sunday. The lines can be a bit crazy on Sunday (probably because of the crab legs). No crab legs on Saturday during lunch. All the items we had were fresh and yummy. It's got all your usual Americanized Chinese options. Overall a good place. Will be back again read more

Well, sometimes things can skid off track and, after my flinitial review of this spot in 2011, it's happened here. When it initially changed names and ownership, the best foot was put forward. It's still there, but with so many of these places popping up, all pretty cheap, they really have to raise the bar higher. This time around, the sushi must have been made by a visually impaired employee; the pieces were at least two inches thick and filled with mostly overcooked sushi rice. The California roll 5 ways was the theme, lacking in variety. A hibachi station would benefit this place, but for now it only has a grill. Nothing for us there, mostly meat and chicken. Dinner or a Friday ran us over 30 for 2 of us. A bit on the higher end for the selection which, if you've been able to try similar places around here, separates them greatly. Middle of the road for these guys. read more

Typical Chinese buffet. If you want cheap food and lots of it, go here. It's good. Kind of. Perfect Chinese buffet. The tea was quite good.

Me, my girlfriend, and my best friend had the worst dinner we have ever had at this buffet. The crabs legs were rubbery, and smelt and tested like ammonia. We paid twenty two dollars a person for plates we took no more than three bites of. I will never be returning, and I recommend no one to go here. read more

This place has horrible food quality. Please do not come into looking for a safe place to eat. This food was questionable. The reviews are really not reflecting much. Buffets can be hit or miss but the couple times I have been here have been a hit! They have a very large selection of food and they seem pretty busy which means the food is being turned over. They provide each table with a bowl to put your scraps in. Other places you need to grab a second plate for shells or bones. They are located in a strip mall so plenty of parking. Staff was very attentive with drink refills. read more

The quality and selection of food has declined of late. They have definitely fallen victim to inflation. There are no more snow crab legs! I know they are expensive, and people just cover their plates with them, but I wish rather than taking them away entirely, they had made it so each dinner comes with a voucher which can be redeemed for 5 or 6. The rest of the food is still Chinese take-out type fare. You can read my previous review for an itemized list, but none of it is quite as good as it used to be. I used to think this place was pretty good. Now, it's just another buffet. read more

I was happy to come here, really was. I don't know what my niece was talking about, or my nephew, rather, because this place missed on so many levels. The mashed p , plantains, nuggets was fine. I'm more into American food, less into Chinese and even less into sushi. The dessert was terrible! Brownies tasted like mint! I tried 2 more desserts and it was the same, sugarless crap. The taco meat was spicy as my son said. Overall-I would recommend it because the amount of food available, seating, ability to pay and not being rushed, but the quality of the food lacked. read more
