Elk burger front chicken burger at the back
Gavin J.

One of the few choices for a meal in town and not a bad burger although I ordered an Elk burger and for my money it was beef , but tasted great so ate it anyway and didn't raise it with the staff Wife had the chicken burger and tater tots which she really enjoyed as well Dining indoors and outdoors undercover Not a bad option if you are road tripping and hungry

I'm so glad this place has survived Covid! I dont travel through the area very often and sometimes it feels like their hours are not matching when I do come through. They were open this time! Just for a regular cheese burger. They are still big burgers. Very tasty, and the fries were awesome. The lady behind the counter was super nice! And friendly. And helpful. And the restaurant was clean, comfortable and a perfect place to rest from a drive across the state. I will continue to recommend.

Excellent burgers. Cute ambience, both indoor and outdoor seating. Sweet, accommodating staff. We ate here twice while visiting Rainer and absolutely loved our meals! Great quality.

Very good! It's a quaint little restaurant with a vintage vibe. Handmade burger Pattie's and fresh cut shoestring fries! There are also take n' bake pizzas available (which look good, but I didn't try). I had the jalepeno burger and it is really good! Juicy and fresh Great spot for on the go (or post snowboarding at White Pass)

Sunny day and a good burger!

Drop in and get a burger. Had the 911, it did not disappoint. Fries were crispy and hot. This place is a great place to sit down and grab a bite, then work it off on one of the many trails @ Rainer. Thanks Cliff Droppers, we'll be coming back!

Salmon burger (filet) and fries

Excellent simple food place. We got there just a few minutes before closing time and it was buzzing. It was satisfying grub for an end to a long day of hiking around Mt St. Helens and traveling to Packwood. We both had the Salmon burger, although it is a filet, was fresh and tasty. Fries were crunchy in the outside tender in the inside and hot, just like I like them. Stop buy for a burger if you are in town. We might have a burger tonight or tomorrow. We did stop for burgers. I had the jalapeño and my husband the blue cheese and it was delicious

This place was a nice find on our trip to Packwood. The burger was tasty and fresh. The fries were crispy and not salted which I liked a lot. Very cute burger joint with a nice diner vibe. Overall really great.

Been back many times for amazing food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We sat outside and enjoyed the rain, on their outdoor covered patio.

In the summer of 2020, while the world was busy imploding on itself, we decided to do a burger quest throughout Washington. It was an easy way to go and see places throughout the state and check out the drive-in style/americana burger scene in different cities. While on our way to Yelm, we happened across this gem and decided to check it out. Winning! It was immediately intrigued with the burgers head north west team names including those of different mountains as well as a Sasquatch burger. The place feels like a spot you'd rent skis and drink beer before and after renting skis - it's a good vibe! We decided on an Elk burger and Cliff Dropper with bacon. Elk is good, this beef was better. The CD is double meat, double cheese and double bacon if you ask for it. The first bite was like when a cartoon character falls in love and hearts come from their eyes - He who has ears, let him hear this - (To Date - 7/27/20) - This is the best burger I have ever tasted! Surely you exaggerate, you might say - I respond- Nope, this burger is boss! The patties are good sized but they manage to utilize the Maillard reaction (Educate yourself! -https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maillard_reaction) a la smash burger and give the edge just a little crisp. The bacon is as good as I've ever tasted (We went to Baconfest 2-7 - Look it up!) and was so perfectly done, we took extra pictures. Grilled onions danced atop this meat castle and like the culmination of a beautiful using, just made everything perfect. In a surprise move, the tots here were as good as we've had as well! I'd you eat tots, they should be extra crispy and these were extra crispy, but not lunch lady burned style, like perfectly crispy, like your mom was impressing the other neighborhood mothers crispy! Imagery aside, this was as epic of a burger as we've tasted and while we can't declare the #WashingtonBurgerQuest won, this is gonna be a hard to beat. This is worth a drive from whatever corner of the state or adjacent states you live in. Check this place out and you can thank us later!

Perfect place in Packwood for a post-hike burger. There's one veggie option. Everything else is piled high with meats, cheeses and veggies. Open weekends. Good for groups. Fast, friendly service and reasonable prices. Thank you! Will be back next time we are at Rainier. Glad you're open!

Burger was great, but the fries came out cold and seemed like they could have also been cooked a little longer.

This is best in town considering there are only 4. A little over priced but what do you expect? Burgers and fries were great!

This BYOF is a great area for those wanting to explore Mt. Rainier. The exterior of the brewery is…read morejust the same as the interior. I have never seen such great wooden architecture before in my life. There are enough seats to host large events as well as many games and books to enjoy. What's great about this place is that they have non-alcoholic beer as well as a variety of craft brewery. The bartender, Jason, was very helpful in deciding which beer to try. If you get a chance to come here, I highly recommend ordering: -Self Care "Scherler Easiest Lager" (N/A): very light, hoppy, tastes like a normal IPA, but without the buzz. It is a bit watered down in opinion, but I don't mind it. -Hourglass IIPA (8.5%): An Imperial IPA with strong pine and orange flavors, a little bitter, crisp, and fresh. Better than your typical lager. -Huckleberry Cider (6.4%): sweet, and beautiful color, a great choice for cider lovers. -"Virgin" Bloody Mary: your typical Mary, but without the booze, and a splash of Yucatán Habanero hot sauce. You can heat it up as much as you want with their variety of sauces. Packwood Brewery is a must try for any hikers or vacationers. Grab a pint, sit back, and relax after a very tiring adventure!

This place has the vibe and location down pat, so there's not much to discuss.. But I will. Because…read morethe tacos were embarrassing. $6 a toco.. Two 4" tortillas each. Maybe 1 oz of meat each, pickled onion, (ooh, fancy! ) and a drizzle of sour cream (see pic). At this rate, I'll need 6 tacos and $36 to feel satiated.
